It involves a lot of aspects of Halloween, and it also why so many of my F/Os are from horror movies!
To explain it:
I was not allowed to do or watch anything Halloween-related when I was growing up, to the point where it was always something I desired to take part in, but was distinctly forbidden.
In my late teen years, I was finally able to experience Halloween, and I dove in.
That was also the exact time that my sexuality developed, as I was a bit of a late bloomer in that fashion.
And…they kinda combined permanently?

Honestly, I spend the majority of the month of October feeling like omegaverse just became real and I am suddenly in heat 😭 the decor, the events, the costumes, the thrill of fear, the chill in the air, it is all so erotic to me.
The vibe of “you can’t have this any other time but now”, and the unique energy of the whole thing, the play-pretend and kayfabe, everyone pretending to be what they aren’t; what they fear; what truly attracts them; what repels with every ounce of their being.
The ability to play in what is usually dangerous, but with a safety net.
Haunted corn mazes with wandering scare actors that scream and chase with chainsaws. Haunted house attractions that leave your heart pounding, making you shrink away from loud noises, pushing you into darkness and terror just for the fun of it.
And the food too!! The candy, the sugar, the sickening sweetness of it all, putting sugar on top of fear and making it taste better.
I am very lucky to live in a city that has a lot of Halloween events, and there is one coming up that is even full-contact…
AKA the actors are allowed to grab you, push you, pull your hair, separate from you the group, shove you in a cage…
I have told folks in the past (mostly folks who try to hit on me) that if they get a scary costume, I don’t necessarily have to be attracted to the person beneath. If they play the part, the act is what is attractive.
Fear and horror and haunted houses and scare factories are practically sex to me. But in those specific niche parties here and there during October…
