I hosted a D&D game today with my friends and OMG! It was so fun!!!
They did so well! I’m so proud of them all. They did good roleplay and they had such inventive ideas and they did SO WELL!!!
Only one of the three had ever played D&D, and only once before. And apparently I made it very simple and non-confusing!!! ;w;
I kept breaking into giggles at every break!!!! 🤩🤩 and then!! They all kept getting excited and rambling over each other about their favourite parts of the game so far!!!
And they had such good theories!!!! I tried so hard to keep a poker face when they were theorizing with each new discovery.
And one of my roomies was passing by during the game and they were taken aback by how scary it sounded!! Teehee!! >:)
I’m so elated!!!! They all went home at about the halfway mark, which is perfect, because we’ll do the next half next time! Two-shots are my favourite type ever.
AND!!! Hehehe at a few points the new players started roleplaying more, and I felt so happy!! So proud of them!!!!
I love being a DM!! I love being able to bring my friends together for a fun day!!!!
After they all went home I got a bit sad (almost like…idk, a drop?) which is silly, so I went out for a bite to eat to tell my brain that it’s okay that the day ended!
Now I am fed, happy, and I feel so loved. I love my friends!!!!

But if you’re really openly the friend who loves identifying ants your friends will think of you when they see ants. And they’ll text you “what ant is this [blurry photo]”. And then they’ll ask you how you’ve been and we should get coffee sometime. But if they don’t know what you love they’ll never know what you like
And then when the ant convention is in town they’ll be like dude… we should go to the ant convention. But they would never think to go if they didn’t know u loved ants

you know those studies showing that cursing helps with pain tolerance or whatever. that’s how i feel about making my weird little noises to get through my basic daily activities. sometimes you just have to go hggblaaaah for a minute so you can find the strength within yourself to get up or wash the dishes or send an email. mmmnneh. urgh. the torments are unending but you can always make some little sounds about it.
I am pleased by people messaging me telling me that after adding a carb or protein to their snacks or meals they feel more satisfied all day. Yes, my plan is working. People are getting through their days with less hangry.
