He'd stayed on the fishing boat all day. Well since this afternoon. Traps needed checking or resetting. And today just felt like a good day to sail. It had rained last night. So he wasn't out for deliveries the night before. Well rested. He managed to get lots of work done. Docking for lunch and then bringing the boat with multiple coolers filled with catches in for the evening around sunset. Sweater off in nothing more than swim trunks and a sun visor with the fishing company's logo on it. He worked lifting trunk cooler after trunk cooler of the boat.

It was repetitive but fulfilling work. As Wesley loved sailing. But also loved repetition or a routine... a bit of order. He was wiping sweat off his brow and admiring the colors changing in the sky when he noticed them lingering near by on a bench. Panting he lifted a hand in greeting, acknowledgment of the other's presence. Before continuing his work. He had to get these coolers into storage before he could even think to call it quits for the evening.

Just his luck. On a day around town where he took off from his work. Pulled his Mazda RX-7 out the garage he had it parked in. Gave it a quick soapy shirtless wash & shine before deciding to take it out for a spin. The engine would begin to stall, the body would rattle , all before he was popping the hood releasing a plume of smoke in its wake. Nearly on his way back into town , his joyride came to a sudden hault on a winding woodsy road. Only Audrey was confident he could fix his problem rather quickly easily, he thought - with the use of his toolcase- that he did not have.

"wait... training? for what? we're actually expected to do that?" pauli sounded absolutely horrified at the reveal. "you're... you're joking, right? i train at home. the stair master. maybe even the punching bag. i don't like use weapons against people!" he shrieked as he shook his head. "what happens if my parasol slash spear takes someone's finger or something?" pauli asked with a shiver as he looked at the parasol in his hand. when he clicked the button to fold it, the silver, green, and yellow piece of work folded up into a spear. and that alongside the warhammer on his back was definitely concerning. "wait... why are we training? are we going to be apart of some secret society or something?"

there's  a  wide  smile  that  had  taken  over  a  large  portion  of  his  face  as  he  looked  up  to  the  moon.  he  was  sitting  in  the  middle  of  a  boat,  but  wasn't  sailing  anywhere.  mainly  letting  the  ocean  waters  sway  him  back  and  forth.  if  one  were  to  look  at  his  attire,  they'd  think  they  were  sunbathing.  denim  shorts  that  were  obviously  cut  my  them,  tank  top  tucked  in  the  back  pocket,  flannel  shirt  wrapped  around  their  waste,  and  the  shoes  he  had  come  with  kicked  off.  “the  souls  are  talking!  they're  chatty  tonight.”  he  couldn't  actually  speak  to  the  dead.  devlin  looks  over  at  them  with  a  cheshire  grin.  “they  brought  you  to  me  for  a  reason.  what  do  you  need?” 

jeremy allen white, pansexual, genderfluid male + he/they → isn’t that devlin cooney? the story claims that they're the cheshire cat from alice in wonderland. i hear they’re 35 (unknown). in the cursed town they’re a drug dealer, but back in the fairy tale realm they were a philosophical guide. they seem to be self-aware & wise, but also mischievous & unpredictable. their aesthetics include stray cats constantly following him around for snacks, cases upon cases of cigarettes, the feeling of hearing/seeing something that's not there, a trail of chaos that they leave in their path.   

jonathan daviss, bisexual, male + he/him → isn’t that wesley kofi? the story claims that they're kovu from the lion king. i hear they’re 25. in the cursed town they’re a fisherman/delivery boy, but back in the fairy tale realm they were a disowned tribal prince. they seem to be clever & compassionate, but also unforthcoming & jealous. their aesthetics include deep purple sunrises, dark clouds overhead, all black outfits. 

About Him...

most of Wesley's life has been a lonely one. Exiled from his tribe in the Pride Lands. the then young were-lion Wandered the savanna in search of a place to belong. when the scent of home was swiftly replaced with unfamiliar and more harsher ones - ash, flesh rotten bones , noxious sulfur - the cub knew he'd wandered too far. the Waste Lands weren't a place any Prince should be. He was Lost until a lioness crept up on him. nudging him to a cave with bats and jagged rocks abound. there resided a lion shrouded in shadows, Scar. who over time he came to call his Stepfather. In town Wesley fumbles most social interactions due to his own anxiety and the awkwardness of youth. His cat like reflexes only doing him good when it comes to work. vinnie hacker, gay, male + he/him → isn’t that audrey-graham clark? the story claims that they're hercules from hercules. i hear they’re 24 in the cursed town they’re a freelance mechanic & handyman, but back in the fairy tale realm they were a demigod and hero. they seem to be joyful & gregarious, but also impulsive & overconfident. their aesthetics include marvel movie opening credits, running on the beach, clear sunny days.

what Audrey doesn't know about the Roman Empire he makes up for in ways of his Charm & Physique. Around town the brondie is known for his handy work. He can change your oil & your light bulbs no questions asked. it's a simple easy going life for a once epic Hero & sunbathed Demigod who used to have the Colosseum over-packed with spectators ready to oogle over his next great feat of Strength.

cyrus  was  thumbing  through  a  book  curiously  as  he  tried  to  see  if  it  had  any  relevant  information  to  the  situation  they  found  themselves  in.  cyrus  figured  he  could  try  to  find  out  more  about  where  they  are  in  order  to  figure  out  why  they  ended  up  here.  but  so  far  these  past  few  days?  nothing  has  jumped  out  in  his  studies.  "maybe  i  can  find  a  spellbook  or  something  here.  never  hurts  to  stretch  one's  legs  anyways."  he  grumbled  grumpily  as  he  slowly  stood  up  and  stretched,  allowed  his  muscles  and  joints  to  pop.  he  steps  outside  of  the  little  place  he  had  been  using  as  a  makeshift  home  and  takes  a  moment  to  bask  in  the  sunlight  before  he  begins  to  walk.  and  almost  immediately,  he's  nearly  stumbling  into  someone.  "crap,"  cyrus  sighs.  "maybe  i  was  better  off  inside,"  he  says  with  a  sarcastic  chuckle.  "are  you  okay?"

"hell  yeah!"  vincent's  lips  had  a  very  large  grin  set  on  them  as  he  was  shirtless.  looking  over  his  shoulder  and  at  the  mirror,  he  grinned  as  he  saw  the  wings  briefly  twitched  on  his  back.  he  made  his  way  back  to  the  bed  and  climbed  on  top  of  the  other.  "they  got  a  little  bigger  today.  maybe  i'll  be  able  to  actually  use  them  in  my  human  form  instead  of  being  shrunken  down  to  a  squashable  5  inches.  although  being  able  to  shrink  would  be  pretty  cool  as  well!"  he  babbled  on  excitedly  with  a  grin  before  sliding  down  onto  the  bed  next  to  the  other.  "now  i  just  need  to  figure  out  how  to  get  a  motorcycle  here."
