“the codex family is small and have more or less lived together in the same house in portland since they were brought into the codex. while they’ve obviously lost people who didn’t like the vibe, they are very much a group of people that have let themselves be drawn into something that sounds like family until you flip a coin and realize sure, bruno and celine may love them, but they’ve also been using them for monetary gain. then again, the pay is good? and say love enough times, it starts feeling real. say family enough times, it stops feeling like a cult. have something scary enough to run from, and cult might not even be something that scares you.”
