This AU is mainly trying to capture what I wanted from this show when I was younger (aka when season one was just popping out) , so a lot of the inspo comes from the anime PV more than the show.

Season 1-2 of the show is really important to me for sentimental reasons, but thinking of the potential of the PV and it being a 2d animated medium still makes me weep SO! I really wanted to capture the early-mid 2000s shoujo manga vibes that 1. Younger me was consuming on the daily from mangas, and 2. I got from the PV!

I think the exaggerated actions from these kinds of comics are already embedded in how I make art and comics, so it was really fun learning to match the visuals to the storytelling! I also REALLY enjoy making Marinette this horrendously animated and expressive girl that really gets to shine with this kinda stuff.
