Truth be told, Charlie hadn't exactly been paying attention to where she was, her eyes widened slightly as she pulled her earbud out and slowly realized that she was not at the diner. Whoops? "Oh, hi," she smiled politely while trying to not sound like a complete idiot. Who got turned around that badly, especially in this little town? Apparently, she did. "Um, I was actually just out and about and saw that this place had something new so I thought I'd check it out... it is new right? Or am I completely stupid and just never noticed it?" Well, there went all chances of not looking stupid, she thought, rolling her eyes at herself.
"Sorry, I'm just gonna level with you. I was totally zoned out while out for a run and kinda thought I was at the diner. You ever do that? Just so focused on what you're doing that you kinda just aren't paying attention to anything else at all? No? Just me?" Charlie mustered her best apologetic smile. "Sorry if I got your hopes up thinking I was here for a tattoo. I've thought about getting one, actually. But then I got the job at the bank and it just never happened."
This is the first time that somebody wondered into his tattoo shop like this. He saw a lot of this, such as changing mind and unsure do they want to do that. But this he never experienced. It made him smile anyway, the girl was obviously confused. She wasn't really familiar to him as well. He couldn't know everybody in the town anyway.
"Um, well, this is a tattoo shop? What exactly did you look for?" Grey asked her with a smile on his face. As he could see, she definitely wasn't a type of person who would be getting tattoos. Not like he thought that some of people can't have tattoo at all. It was just the fact tattoos weren't really everyone's cup of tea. "Actually, you're not too far away from diner. It's just like few blocks away."
