like okay, it's a serious problem that you "define" the word woman as someone who performs the feminine gender role (misogyny), or alternatively, "anyone who identifies as one" (female erasure), but it's also a serious problem that identifying as something is seen as a valid way to demand certain treatment in the first place.

if a trans woman says that he feels like a woman, it is problematic because he often thinks womanhood comes down to a performance he can participate in, but it's also problematic that he thinks he can place himself into a category just by saying it out loud.

the definition of womanhood isn't about stereotypes or transcendental feminine feelings, but it's also not about personal opinions or statements.

not feeling like a man doesn't mean you aren't one.

feeling like a woman doesn't mean you are one.

hating being a man doesn't make you a woman.

loving the idea of being a woman doesn't make you a woman.

wanting to be a woman doesn't make you one.

not wanting to be a man doesn't make you a woman.

hating your male body doesn't make you a woman.

loving your transitioned MtF body doesn't make you a woman.

relating to women more doesn't make you a woman.

relating to men less doesn't make you not a man.

wanting to die because you're not perceived as a woman doesn't make you one.

there is no inherent connection between womanhood and these statements. you can say them, you can genuinely feel them, and yet it doesn't inherently mean anything.

you do not stop being something and become something else just because you think you should. there's nothing inherently true in the claim "i should be treated in a specific way because i want to or because i think it's right for me".

every time you see someone saying not to talk about an issue your group is facing because "what if people that hate us see it" it is a sign that you should be louder. being committed solely to optics at the cost of victims of abuse is something that happens in quite literally every group and movement because victims (whom are majority women and therefore seen as disposable) are not seen as important and addressing abusers' wrongdoings is seen as a great risk to The Cause. and you wouldn't want The Cause to fail and the people who hate you to win, would you? When you compare the men and women, it becomes very clear how sexist the uniforms are.

It’s not just the uniforms and skin exposed (the men get to wear pants that cover their legs and feet and the women don’t, the women’s uniforms are glittery/sequined and the men’s are not) it’s also the posing (the men are just standing, the women are contorting their bodies into what I would guess are supposed to be enticing postures) and the styling (the women have their hair done and are all wearing makeup).

Yes, gymnastics is about flexibility, but it’s also about strength and athleticism. The men get to stand and thump their chests and chalk their hands. Why can’t the women do the same? Imagine if the men were posing like the women were. Wouldn’t it look ridiculous? Imagine now the men are also wearing glittery uniforms that show half their ass and leave their legs bare. The men are shaved and are all wearing makeup and hair gel in addition to the poses the women are doing, legs kicked high and quarter turns with arms flared. If you think that imagined image is degrading for the men’s team, then it is equally degrading for the women’s team too. You’re just used to women being degradeed.
