I keep thinking about this one tbh

Ok ok character introduction time bc I can do what I want:

Beetle (aka Mortimer)

Beetle was created by Gremlin Prescott in between the events of Epic Mickey 1 and 2 out of a fit of frustration of Mickey’s swift disappearance once the Blot was defeated but Wasteland was still crumbling. He attempts to make an animatronic Mickey similar to Donald and Goofy, but gets a little carried away, creating quite the beetleworx monster. He decides to keep him anyway, but he’s just a “Beetle”worx and not the next Mickey Mouse.

Beetle soon becomes far more sentient and intelligent than Prescott ever intended. He becomes a lover of chess and philosophy, jazz music and helping others, but he always had a deep emptiness knowing he’ll never be Mickey. He’ll never be anyone. He will never be remembered. He sees Wasteland as sort of a purgatory toons are trapped in, wasting away forever when they could’ve just been laid to rest in old history books. He has big plans to create a new Storm Blot and put Wasteland out of her misery, dragging Mickey down with all of them.

Though in the meantime, Beetle remains silly roommates with Prescott, often being hunted for his unusual animatronic intelligence and spending most of his days babysitting Oswald’s bunny children.
