The telephone pole scene, Izaya’s most human moment. Him being afraid of loosing his friend.

Izaya telling his sister to get out of the road before she gets hit by a truck, which is kind of interesting to see.

Izaya considering Shinra’s well-being while in the hospital, reflecting on Shinra, “Even that guy can’t predict the future.” Which hints that he may have called Shinra because he was worried.

Izaya saying that he wasn’t laughing about his sisters getting bullied, but that he was pitying the bullies themselves, because Kururi and Mairu are HIS sisters.

Izaya being mocked by Tsukumoya for not knowing much about the events of Hollywood and all the stuff that happened in Ruri’s arc having nothing to do with it. For once he was out of the loop.

Izaya’s relationship with his sisters actually being quite sweet once in a while, and him admitting that he feels guilty for how they turned out.

Izaya being jealous of Celty and Shizuo naturally for their ability make attachments. It’s gone over more in the novels.

Mikado getting up with Izaya of his own volition at points. 

More conversation and amusing banters between Izaya and Mikado in the chatrooms.

Izaya getting two brain scans, which showed that his brain is completely normal. 

Manami approaching Shinra to kill him, with the thought of making Izaya suffer, more importantly questioning if it would hurt Izaya. 

Tsukumoya’s words on how Izaya claimed he believed he(himself) was lonely. And Tsukumoya even saying “but if you asked me ‘does Izaya love himself then?’ I would have no answer for you but silence.”

Izaya’s birthday being mentioned by Earthworm, and her emotional torture going much deeper.

Kururi and Mairu expressing concern for Izaya’s swollen hand, after he punches the telephone pole.

Izaya telling his sisters to avoid Shizuo because they could end up hurt.

Izaya having less to do with things than meets the eye at points.

Izaya coming to the hospital truly being by coincidence, and Anri’s interrogation and threatening behavior being what leads Izaya to say the things he said.

Izaya wondering if he could have been killed by Anri, and being in a bad mood because of that.

Izaya being happy because his personality was created by himself, and not some dysfunction in his brain.

Hints that’s why he didn’t want to go to the hospital because of fear of the brain scan results that could come up.(at least that’s how I interpreted it)

Izaya seeming bitter because he feels like Shinra doesn’t see him as a true friend. And his expression of hatred towards Celty for turning Shinra’s attention away from humans and stealing his friend.
