Constricted

To hear her companion’s focal interest, she had to double-take - that voice was one she’d heard before. And rounding to meet the young man’s face, Misaki flinched at the sight of someone she’d not seen in months, equally astonished as he.

     “What? Didn’t expect someone like me to check out some grandiose movie?”

A pause. Her arms folded and sight fell downwards. “Well… someone I know wants to have a hero movie marathon night. Figured it wouldn’t hurt to see what the big deal is about. No need to ask you, huh?”

And besides, the boy could tell that threat from before wasn’t empty...”Well yeah actually I didn't, you seem like one of those types that would rather read a book than watch something like this,” he chucked some popcorn in his mouth before speaking again. 

When the other brought up the number one delight of summer, Lubbock gave a cheeky smile and blushed, “Haha! That’s right! All those chicks walking around with hardly anything on, it’ll be a blast!” he was of course excited, so excited that he almost choked on a piece of popcorn.

“Agckgh!! S-so I take it that means you’ll be taking advantage of the season too huh? Come on, I know you’re probably the type that tries to hide the fact she cheeks out guy’s or girl’s hot bodes in secret!” 

So paying the owner, he sat down in front of a green-haired individual and ignoring the wind that was blowing in his face. Being in Asgard when the weather was out of control desensitized him towards such a thing.

However he was not expecting the wind to be strong enough to blow his food away and a very annoyed yell coming from behind him. Oh NO.

“You’re sorry is the best thing you could come up with?!”

The boy complained, not bothered at all by the other’s meek expression. Who was he trying to fool with that? “Hmph, you don’t look sorry in the slightest. I knew everyone was from a different universe but I didn't know they came from a place where it was okay be be a rude jerk!” he shouted while slamming his fist. A clear frown was plastered on his face. After starring at the other intently for a bit, the young genius spoke.

“That is if...”

"WOAH! Holy crap, this place looks cool as hell!!"

He shouted in a fit of excitment. As his brazened joy was all over his face, the assassin quickly regained his composure when he remembered the young woman next to him, "I-I am, It's pretty cool, huh. But don't go getting excited like a little kid,"He commented cockily and somewhat badly. Seeing as this eyepatch wearing girl was constantly calling him kid, he certainly didn't want to seem childish and give her more ammo to annoy him. 

Notably, there was of course a pause.

Suffice to say, it wasn't an extremely pleasant time as he would have liked. But he certainly wasn't a failure within hiss ranks before he became a traitor. 

"Ahhh, so that's how it is huh?,,,"

He simply commented with that. She attacked her comrade out of confusion? What the hell is with that did she get drugged or something? Lubbock thought a little cautiously but then remembered the wounds she bared. For now he let that thought be, it wasn't like she could be of much harm as she is now.

"It's no prob'. Yeah I was dragged into this crazy place too. Just like everyone else here. "

That hadn't been a lie, though he had hopes this crappy place could get better soon. Still, if girls like these just popped out of nowhere, no problem in the world could get him down. Choosing to get deeper into the subject, Lubbock continued,

        She felt a little disapproved for a moment, but she wasn’t the sort to allow herself to engage in a fight or a battle over something shallow — rather, it was that she would rather not with the boy before her, what with his slight glare. For a moment she pondered if she had done something wrong to the boy, and scratched her head, despite the fact that she hardly felt an itch.

        "You alright, kid?”

        It wasn’t just a display of concern, but rather — she was also seeking the slightest bit of approval, just as she always had, from the rest of the world. It was unnecessary, yet that ego of hers would not rest until she has received just what she wanted.

        Still, the three words displayed her genuine concern.

"I'm not a kid!"

He blurted back with a shaken fist. Being a kid implied he was immature of some sort and that the other was more of an adult than he was. Of course no matter how you look, she was the older individual but still it was a bother to hear! After all, Najeenda-san wouldn't prefer some immature kid would she...

Trying to keep his mind off something that would be less of a pain, he focused back on the young woman at hand,

"A newbie huh?"

Yeah he should have figured that was her status when she just popped up like that. Lubbock took a sigh to rid himself of the bad mood. He felt there was no reason to let it out on this stranger.

"It's a pain the butt alright. Those crooked scientists doing all kinds of experiments to mess with the people, and the people themselves just attack whoever they want. Bah..There's no law around this place...but most of all, I haven't gotten around to meeting any of my comrades...well there was one but she disappeared somewhere..."

After all that happened, her attention was almost too inclined her thoughts to formulate words for an answer. Just narrowly would she snap back into reality so that she could give the appropriate reply. 

"Meh, I've got nothing better to do in this rat hole of a place. It's no big deal,"

It was true though, despite how chaotic the city could be, he couldn't really find a place of excitement. Still, considering the dangers that popped up darkest edges of this town, he probably shouldn't complain. S-5 huh? That is a bit of a walk but Lubbock kept a steady pace as to not ignite any injuries from the second party.

The awkward silence that trailed behind his previous exchange was far too obvious. As such, the quick-witted boy brought a glaring topic at hand to cease the silence.

        Goddamn these scientists, who did they think they were? Gods? Fuck that, she was the Heaven’s Dragon! Almost literally!

        With a piece of paper in her hand, she sighed at the sight of the modern city — unfamiliar with its ways and the evergrowing crowd. Almost felt nostalgic, if only for the fact that she felt a sense of deja vu being there, but she could hardly recall any sort of memories in relation to the estranged world.

        It almost felt like life back in the district, except more confusing, more complicated…

        There was definitely no sea, or Abyssals in sight, so she was half as relaxed as she could normally be, just as she was when she was relaxing with Tatsuta…

        That’s right! Perhaps Tatsuta was lost somewhere in the same city as she was! There was no way that Tatsuta could be falling behind! That sister of hers never quite left her back so easily, so there was definitely a possibility that her sister could be walking around with her glaiv—

        "Ah, no, that ain’t it… She won’t even be carrying around that glaive of hers. It’d be wooden, just like my sword right here… Still, she should be here lookin’ for me.”

        Trodding down the sidewalk, she stopped a person with a hand held out forth, before she clears her throat and gave the individual her trademark grin, with her twinkling visible amber eye —

Peeking past the single green bang over his eye, the assassin came upon a purple-haired girl with an eye-patch. Just a look at the piece over her eye, reminded him of that amazing leader of his back at him. Needless to say, he missed Najeenda-san greatly, and seeing this chick who also wore a eye-patch wasn't helping it.

So instead of catching some sort of weird atached feelings, Lubbock narrowed his eyes in annoyance at the the girl who questioned him about another. 

"Tsh, gimmie a break, you aren't scary at all. I've seen a puppy more frightening than you,"

He gave a casual brash remark without any heed of his manners. Lubbock wasn't any sort of punk but he couldn't exactly be called a gentlemen either. But that's besides the point, without any real care, he continued to try to walk pass her.
