Hi I'm sorry if someone asked this before but I couldn't find this question in the faq. Could you maybe tell me how you add the moving overlay? I already downloaded this moving stars thingy but now I have no idea how to add it to a picture
hi babe! no worries, i indeed don’t have anything about it in my faq! just open the star gif &. whichever image you want to use it on in photoshop. if your image is a png or jpeg (the one you want to edit), make sure to create frames ( click ‘create frame animation’ on your timeline on the bottom - idk what photoshop you have, so i’ll just use cs6 as a reference ) and then convert it to video timeline.
with the starry gif, select all the frames and layers, click convert to video timeline as well and, still having all the layers selected, make sure to convert it for a smart filter ( you can see this option in the filter tab ). select the single layer you have now and drag it over to your image.
now you have both in one image! of course, it's not opaque, so depending on the lightness of your main image, you need to select the layer and you’ll see a tab on the right that says ‘normal’. click that and select either darken ( if your background is dark ) or lighten ( if your image is light! ). then save for web, make sure it loops forever and make sure you save it as a gif! and you’re done.
p.s. if this isn’t clear i think itsphotoshop.tumblr.com has some good tutorials on overlays! good luck

nope! i found it via via - i think through google ? i just googled something like ‘glitter star gif’ and then found it eventually. figured i might as well share it since other people were looking for it too! have fun with it <3

oh gosh, i don’t know to be honest! i use so many and never the same. i know i have some by crapcoloring that i’ve used, i think? just check the ‘dull’ tag on itsphotoshop - they have tons of the ones i usually use!
