to me insisting that water isnt wet is the same thing as being like uh actually bananas ARENT yellow it absorbs all light EXCEPT yellow like okay yeah sure that is correct that doesn’t change the conventional meaning of banana is yellow

A banana isn't yellow because it's what's inside that counts and the inside of a banana is white to show that it's pure of heart. This also means that when the inside of the banana turns brown and squishy because it's gone bad, it is no longer pure of heart. But things that are not pure of heart are far more interesting than things that are, and it opens up opportunities for what the banana can become. Also water is wet because something is wet due to water on its surface so water is the wet. But the sensation of something being wet is a complicated sensory input with nothing to do with water. Dude what am I even talking about.
