Chopper wasn't paying full attention to the woman before him who stomped forcefully in his direction. Sadly, this led to Ulti smashing her leg into him, sending the little doctor stumbling backwards, landing at her feet on his rear with a harsh thud.
"Ow, ow…" The pirate whined as he rubbed his back, slowly lifting his head to see what he'd collided with. Was he really so distracted that he failed to notice the only other person out in this stretch of forest? He couldn't help blushing with embarrassment as his vision returned to him, taking in the sight of the Beast Pirate before him. "Ah… I'm sorry! I wasn't paying atten- Huh…?"
She looked vaguely familiar, but Chopper couldn't quite place it. Unlike Luffy, Usopp, and Nami, he hadn't fought Ulti and Page One, nor had they been his point of focus on Onigashima, with Chopper having been preoccupied with the chaos Queen brought to the raid party. The situation with the Ice Oni made everything else seem like a blur to him. While Chopper didn't recognize Ulti though, it was unlikely Ulti didn't recognize perhaps the most unique and difficult to mistake of the Straw Hat Pirates.
"I'm uh… sorry about that! I'll watch where I'm going next time!" With that, Chopper pushed himself back up without much complaint, offering a polite, but clearly uneasy smile. Whether he recognized her or not, Chopper at least noticed how angry the woman looked, not to mention the fact that she had a weapon. Best to avoid a potential fight when he's only here to visit friends.
This all went quickly enough, but it seemed whatever duties this woman had to perform outweighed the arrival of one of the Straw Hat Pirates. That surprised Chopper. Luffy might underplay how important they are, but with Yamato in charge, the reindeer found it difficult to really accept being brushed aside like this.
"Huh... well, if you're busy, I guess- Wait, what even do you guys do? Are you rebuilding the place or something?" With no attacks on Wano, Chopper silently wondered if there was any sort of civil war or bandit attack going on in spite of them no longer being under Kaido.
"Eh... I shouldn't distract but you know, I'm a doctor. Maybe there's something I can do to help you with those duties. It might show Yamato that I'm worth a lot more than I'm given credit for." The reindeer left it at that, not wanting to dwell on his reputation too much.
"Hmmmmmm~?" Ulti paused in a very overdramatic way, slowly turning her head and looking back. "I mean... I don't think it's too important, but I suppoooose I wouldn't mind the company... Hmmm..." It was almost comical how hard she pretended to think about it. "Well, I guess you can come along. I'm sure you have plenty of things you could talk about on the way."
"I don't know if Maria will be busy or not..." Ulti huffed. "But if she isn't, I'm sure she could help you out. She's smart. I don't know if you two have met."

"If it's not to much...trouble of course. I'm Lawrence Wright, This is my older brother Lewis." Ironic considering Lawrence was about several inches taller. They'd await Kikunojo to lead them, hopefully they had the resources to share, and with Lawrence studying the sea and ocean life that could also help them replenish that.
"So you said earlier a some big battle happened? If I may ask, what did happen?" Ever the curious one, Lewis engaged the samurai in conversation.
"I am surprised you had not heard up until now. Kaido's influence extended far beyond Wano's lands, is your homeland truly so far away...? It matters not. Kaido was an Emperor of the sea, I assume you are aware of them. He lusted for power and was a tyrant over our lands for the past twenty years. He and Kurozumi Orochi were responsible for the death of Lord Oden. There is more history still, yet I fear that my memories have begun to blur slightly... Perhaps it is a sign that our homeland is healing."
Kiku turned to the road ahead, waving for them to follow behind her. "Kaido was defeated through the efforts of Wano's samurai, warriors of the mink tribe, and a small group of pirates. Straw Hat Luffy was responsible for landing the final blow, and Wano now flies the Straw Hat flag with pride. Lord Momonosuke was granted his rightful place as Shogun, as well. Now, Wano country is slowly rebuilding after the years of damage to the country and its people that Kaido and Orochi caused."

No, but I appreciate the sentiment. It's less the people and more of the tumblr format, I think? I feel like part of the problem is my resistance to taking creative liberties with the characters I use despite many of them having very little to go off of when it comes to being in-character, I probably ought to loosen up a bit

"You will have to forgive me for assuming. This area tends to attract grave robbers." Kiku's grip remained steady and her breathing even. It was entirely possible that these people intended to catch her off-guard. She didn't know what they were capable of, so it was best to remain cautious.
"I ask that you state your business in our lands. While you may not intend to cause harm, I do not desire to take risks. The land of Wano is still recovering from Kaido's tyranny." Should she reveal herself? No. Not until they told her why they were there. If things were to turn for the worse, it would be better not to reveal her hand just yet.
Lewis would tap his nose; he knew where she was; her scent was caught now. That's one use for having the canine 5... he'd gaze over, luckily whoever this was wasn't close enough to hurt Lew at least. Lawrence would take a step first.
"We heard Wano was a beautiful land...similar to our home, once. Our home was ravaaged....by natural disasters and we came to study the aquatic and plant life; hopefully take some seeds back home." Lawrence stated honestly, everything was on their planning book and missing map if she wanted proof.
"Our mission is completely peaceful...sides we're royals, if anything would happen, our nation would come looking; so let's be friends instead, yeah?" Lewis added, Lawrence didn't know if they needed to know that much; for all they knew this was a bandit.
"Very well, then." Kiku loosened her grip on the hilt of her sword and she stepped out into the open. "I will take you at your word. Welcome to the land of Wano. I am Kikunojo, overseer of Ringo and member of the Azakaya Nine." She respectfully bowed forward.
"Ringo contains very little as of now. I suggest you follow the main road to the capital if you wish to do any business or seek an audience with Lord Momonosuke. I am willing to guide you if necessary."

Chopper was confused by this woman's familiarity with him. This girl only looked vaguely familiar, and though Chopper thought he might've seen her among Kaido's crew, he saw hundreds, maybe thousands, of similar looking people. Ulti didn't stand out, sadly.
"Uh…" A nervous smile as he pushed himself back up, Chopper chuckled anxiously, trying to politely brush off the fact that he had no idea who Ulti was. She probably didn't personally interact with him, so perhaps she'd forgive his ignorance to her identity.
"Right! Um… my crew isn't with me! I flew here on my own to see some people and try to get myself stronger! I thought there was more I could do to help my crew out and Wano has strong people so…" Before he could ramble too much, Chopper stopped himself, staring wide-eyed at Ulti for several seconds.
"Yamato! Have you seen that guy around!? I know Yamato's tough enough to teach me how to use Haki and to get me buffed up to the point that I can better contribute!" The reindeer smiled wider, hopping up and down excitedly. His guard was totally off with Ulti, seeming not to register her as a former enemy at all.
Ulti released a sound somewhere between a sigh and a groan. "The boss sent little old me to check up on the rebuilding efforts in Udon... He's in the capital right now, I think. If you reeeeally need to see him, you should go look there, I guess~" She let out a dejected breath.
"If I wasn't so busy I'd take you to see him, but if I go back without fulfilling my duties there's no doubt my dear little brother would be disappointed with me." Her eyebrow twitched slightly, a sign of agitation that betrayed her current demeanor.
She blanked out for a moment as her eyebrow continued twitching, but she quickly shook whatever thought she was processing out of her head and brought her attention back to the reindeer. "I'm going to go now. Bye bye~!" Without a second thought she began to continue on her way. The woman seemed rather eager to fulfill her orders as quickly as possible.
