no shade because i'm sure i said shit that was this drenched with cognitive dissonance back when i was libfem, but it's a kind of incredible in a way that people can get this close to connecting the dots and still not manage
@grass-toucher :D
how do you even get through to otherwise intelligent and leftist women who are male-centered? both the ones who are determined to redefine everything in their life and the history of the world as a whole in attempt to convince herself that there's no need for protection or equity for female people as a whole since "we're all equal, it's just by chance that misogyny happened to be the systemic issue that exists globally, and gender discrimination and systemic oppression could theoretically go both ways in as meaningful a way as female oppression is", but also the ones who convince themselves that everything men do is good for them and therefore copying them is the only way to be truly liberated?
it just seems impossible to get through to people who want to believe the fight for freedom isn't actually more complicated and intensive than "everyone just needs to have a little more empathy for one another uwu we just need to teach the men that we don't like being beaten, and promise we won't ever beat them like they did us, which is totally a legitimate concern men think about", or putting on some pants, getting a crew cut, working in stem, not liking anything "other women" like, and putting in effort to be unempathetic overall.
tumblr has worked quite quickly to improve their reporting system to cocnretely distinguish between CSEM and sexualised depictions of children! instead of the broad "harm to minors" report, you are now given these options under the "child exploitation" banner:
this is a great move towards helping to prevent the exploitation of children on this website and on the broader internet, and undoubtedly makes categorisation of and investigation of reports much easier. sexualised depictions of fictional children are not allowed on this website according to the user guidelines, but this new categorisation means that reports of CSEM can be treated with the gravity they deserve, while user guidelines violations can be treated separately.

genuinely nothing makes my blood boil quite like "what if those men who claimed their girlfriends/wives were the real abuser were actually being truthful, or at least it was a mutual abuse situation". as if most women victimized by men haven't had "you're the one abusing me" rhetoric spit at them by their abusers.
it can't be overstated that the vast majority of abusers are male, the most dangerous abusers are statistically proven to be male, most victims of abuse are female, the most severely victimized by abuse are female, and even when men are abused it's usually by another man. chasing the narrative that there's a meaningful population of battered men with truly evil female partners who are miraculously doing just as much harm to men as men do to women and getting away with it because of what essentially boils down to "female privilege" and "male oppression" will never benefit the statistical anomaly victimized male as much as it will harm the statistically completely average victimized female. this narrative of "the evil woman who plays victim while tormenting men" has always been weaponized against us, especially the most vulnerable of us.
it's also worth saying that it's literal projection, since, as i've already said, abusive men have been well-documented to use this strategy on the women they abuse, particularly when those women try to escape the abuse. every angle you come at this from is one in which you minimize the overwhelmingly common issue of victimization of women at the hands of men, and contribute to the narrative that women are "secretly evil" while men are "secretly good" and therefore we don't need to lend any special consideration to women and girls for the sake of equity, or even just their safety.
there were a lot of problems 15 years back but the sheer misogyny and lack of class consciousness even in ostensibly "feminist" spaces really feels like it would have been unthinkable back then. there are women who consider themselves as "far left" who openly believe it's better to be constantly entertaining the idea that maybe a man who killed his wife was actually a misunderstood victim who was pushed too far by his wife because "men can be victims and women can be abusers too" than it is to admit that that's a basically unheard of statistical anomaly that is wildly outnumbered by the exact opposite, and already often assumed despite that as a result of systemic misogyny. idk if it's because they want to maintain some comforting delusion of things secretly being more equal than they actually are, or if it's just because they've become more misogynistic and woman-hating, but it's actually frightening either way.
the way that one of the main defenses i heard in response to pushback against the anti-heard narrative was "but i know some guys this happened to" really reflects on the direction public perception on the way that gender and abuse relate to one another. people are spending more and more time derailing conversations about the way that abuse is a gendered issue in which men are largely the most common and most dangerous perpetrators by a landslide, and women and girls are the most frequently and intensely victimized by bringing up extreme fringe cases, and ignoring the fact that claiming to be the real victim and that their partner is a "crazy bitch" is a well-documented strategy male abusers employ to maintain sympathy for themselves while continuing to abuse women who are trying to save themselves from them. they're also ignoring the fact that the legal system has always been and continues to be much harsher on women than men, even when the women's offenses are less severe, or that the legal system is fundamentally built on rules that perpetuate, or at least fail to account for, systemic abuse and oppression of women.
i will never support anyone that publicly bashed amber heard. i stopped supporting a lot of creators and lost a lot of friends. i refuse to ever support those creators or befriend those people again. i'll never forgive those people for how they made me feel as a dv victim fresh out of the relationship. that misogynistic hate campaign impacted real women and i do believe anybody that took part in that should feel immense shame.
i'm sorry, i'm dead serious when i say anybody that took part in this should feel immense shame for the rest of their lives and go donate to your local domestic violence shelter or campaign. the outcome of this trial caused women to pull their cases against their abusers, recant statements, stay with their abusers, question themselves and their stories. this was a devastating blow to feminism, especially after me too.

as much as i hate almost everything else about sv i have to admit "pecharunt" is a hilarious name for a pokemon universe evil momotaro
minior and mimikyu have fun gimmicks, it makes me sad that they ripped off and overpowered mimikyu's gimmick for that hideous penguin
the type coverage on isha's team is surprisingly good for someone who doesn't know anything about pokemon tbh

WAIT HOW DID U GET YOUR NAME SO LONG WTF
honestly idk much about okidogi or scream tail in terms of battle use since i didn't play the game they're in, and i haven't used cloyster much either, but minior and umbreon are decently useful. design-wise i like at least 2/3rds of your team, i'm a huge fan of scream tail. the relevancy to you as a person is also very nice, i can see where this all comes from. funnily enough, i could also see this being a major "villain" character team, with the poison and dark types. it kind of reminds me of plumeria's vibe, but the cloyster also reminds me of lorelei.
also i cheated and used my usual tricks. π€«
the team composition wasn't even intentionally type balanced i think i just have brain worms
