Aimee's 2025 royal family engagement count: The final results!
Disclaimer; everyone's counts will be different, people have different rules to their method of counting the Court Circular. It isn't a definitive count and is done just for fun ๐
The court circular doesn't record any work behind the scenes, only public engagements, official meetings and luncheons/ dinners. It's more a gauge of their public facing roles.
2025 has been a very busy year with many of the royals visiting lots of countries, representing the King and supporting charities and organisations close to their hearts!
๐ King Charles III ๐
Topping the league table this year is HMTK!!! This has been a tough year for King Charles with his ongoing cancer treatment, but he has still managed to pull off a staggering number of engagements!
In the third year of his reign King Charles did a grand total of 503 engagements.
In the UK he did 467 engagements.

What is also worth mentioning is that he has Red Boxes that he has to go through every single day, except Christmas Day and Easter Sunday as well as a lot of work behind the scenes.
Out of a total of 35 investiture ceremonies held, King Charles held 10. ๐๏ธ
2025 started off like any other year for the Princess Royal. She was the first royal to get back to work, on the 6th January. She was also the first royal to go on an overseas visit this year, to South Africa!
Although HRH comes in second place to her brother, she did the most public facing engagements in the UK at around the world!!!
She has done 376 engagements in the UK.
She travelled to 14 different countries this year and did 93 engagements there.

Sophie, The Duchess of Edinburgh
In 2025 Sophie carried on her hard work in areas like women's rights in disadvantaged areas, avoidable blindness, hygiene and agriculture. She went on confidential visits to the Democratic Republic of the Congo, focusing her attention on women's rights and the children's safety of these countries. She also maintained her strong work in the UK by visiting children's charities, meeting mothers and standing for what is right.
She completed 220 engagements this year in the UK and the commonwealth and visited 9 countries on solo tours and with her husband. ๐บ๐ธ๐ง๐ช๐ง๐ฆ๐จ๐ฆ๐จ๐ฉ๐ต๐ช๐ต๐ฆ๐ฌ๐น๐ง๐ฟ
In the third year of her husbands reign, Queen Camilla carried out 219 engagements.
She visited 3 countries this year including accompanying her husband on official tours of Italy, Canada and the Vatican where she did 28 engagements whilst on official tours. ๐ฎ๐น๐จ๐ฆ๐ป๐ฆ

He continued his long lasting work in heritage, architecture, the St John's Ambulance and military organisations.

In October HRH visited Bermuda to mark the 60th anniversary of the Royal Bermuda Regiment, of which she is Colonel-in-Chief. She also visited Denmark in May. ๐ง๐ฒ๐ฉ๐ฐ
Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence
Although not an official working royal, Sir Tim often attends as a great support to his wife's engagements as well as having his own non-royal patronages and interests. In 2025 he became the new President of the Kent County Cricket Club and carried on his work with the Science Museum as Chair of the Board of Trustees.
He accompanied his wife to a total of 93 engagements and accompanied her to 57 engagements abroad in 7 countries. ๐ซ๐ท๐น๐ท๐ฌ๐ฌ๐จ๐ถ๐ง๐ช๐ฆ๐บ๐ธ๐ฌ
When we see Sir Tim carry out his own solo engagements, they aren't included on the Court Circular as he's not an official working royal, so if they were to be his engagement count would be a lot higher.
(Operation working royal Tim)
Prince Edward, The Duke of Kent.
This year, the Duke of Kent turned 90 years old!!! Even though he has started to slow down, he is still entirely devoted to his charities and organisations and has carried out 78 engagements even with his ailing mobility.
He continued his valued hard work with organisations like the Scouts, the Royal British Legion and the RNLI.
In February HRH visited Germany for the Eightieth Anniversary of the destruction of Dresden. ๐ฉ๐ช
Catherine, The Princess of Wales
This year we saw the Princess of Wales return to more regular engagements!
Her work heavily focused on her core initiatives of early childhood development and health advocacy, particularly related to cancer care.
Hopefully we will see her and the Prince of Wales go on a couple of overseas tours next year now that their children are older.
In 2025 the Princess of Wales carried out 67 engagements, about 5 times more engagements than last year!!!
Princess Alexandra of Kent
Princess Alexandra is more than likely unofficially retired from her royal duties now due to her age, health and ailing mobility.
We saw Her Royal Highness four times this year at official events, including at her sister in laws (Katherine) funeral, a reception held did her brothers 90th birthday and a service of thanksgiving.
I hope she is doing well and is taking things slowly. She began her royal duties in the 1950s, so at least 70 years of representing the monarchy. She has truly deserved her retirement and we will miss seeing her at engagements. I hope we will see her occasionally, health permitting of course.
This year the British Royal Family completed a grand total of 2474 engagements in the UK and 25 different countries across the world (almost 500 more than last year!!!)
See below for engagements from the past decade and the types of engagements carried out in 2025
(Thank you all for your kindness through me doing this for the past three years. Youโre all the best! Work and life is too much right now and I just feel so burnt out right now. Doing this every single day isnโt helping and I need my beauty sleep ๐คฃ. A lot of work goes into doing this and itโs not benefiting me or anyone else so itโs easier to stop. I might even get back to doing regular posts because I have had no motivation to post on here for a while! HAPPY NEW YEAR ONE AND ALL!!!)
