I love it when a boot plan comes together! Soles are stitched and heels are on. I pounded all the pointy stuff in the boots down and did a quick test fit. THEY WERE PERFECT! Just some sanding/shaping, finishing, and sock liners left to go. Looks like I’ll make the October deadline for the Stitchdown Patina Thunderdome.

Uppers cut, skived, and old school stamped! I handed my boot pieces off to the talented folks in sewing and they made quick work of the uppers for me. I REALLY want to learn this part of the process but it would take so much practice to get good and stay good. One day maybe. 🤞🤞

Back in 2019 I treated myself to these #nicksboots Falcons for running this race ➡️➡️. I had no idea who they were a few just months earlier. The second to last leather item I purchased before I started making my own stuff( @maedleathergoodsco ). I really wanted a knife with a stacked leather handle so my wife had Chase, over at @wilderforge make me one for me. It’s one of the most cherished items I own.

The wallet and boots from the previous posts led me to this gorgeous Money Maker camera harness from @holdfastgear . I was doing a lot of wedding and family photography at the time and this camera system pretty much saved my neck and back. What I loved about it was that it was made in America, let me carry two cameras(one digital, one film, two film, or two digital), was made from leather, and just looked really freaking cool! I still have this and hope to use it again one day if I start doing more two camera, type photography again.
