AUGUST 12 2026, WEDNESDAY Entry: 5:27pm, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: 1 JOHN 1:7 But if we are living in the light, as God is in the light, then we have fellowship with each other, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, cleanses us from all sin.

WALKING IN THE LIGHT Have you ever walked during darkness?

Maybe your power went out during a storm, or you were stranded on the road with car trouble. Walking in darkness can be scary, and It can be dangerous. Having a light makes everything better, and the same is true in our spiritual journeys.

How we find that light in the midst of darkness is actually pretty straightforward: Psalm 119 says that God's Word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. In other worlds, the Bible itself is a light-that points to THE light. It's out guide. it helps us make decisions to follow Christ and to not walk in darkness.

Just as Jesus is the light of the world, we are called to reflect His light into the world. When we intentionally choose to walk in His light, we embrace truth, righteousness, and love.

Walking in the light means surrendering our old ways, seeking God's guidance, and allowing His Spirit to shape our thoughts, actions, and attitudes.

As we walk in the light, a beautiful transformation occurs: we find fellowship with one another. This light of Christ not only illuminates our individual paths but also creates a bond of unity among believers. It's how we discover the joy of shared faith, encouragement, and accountability. It is through this bond that we are reminded that we are not alone on our journey.

Today, reflect on your walk with Christ. Are you consciously choosing to walk in His light? Are you growing in community? And are you fully embracing the cleansing power of Jesus' blood, allowing His grace to purify your life?

As you reflect, think about ways you can grow closer to God, experiencing the abundant life He has promised, and become a beacon of His light in a world that so desperately needs it.

REFLECTION Walking in the light means surrendering our old ways, seeking God's guidance, and allowing His Spirit to shape our thoughts and actions.

SHARE YOUR FAITH Today, be a beacon of God's light to a world that desperately needs it.

God, You gave us Your Son, the light of the world. Give me the courage and strength of character to follow Jesus unconditionally. Regardless of the trials or temptations I face. I want to walk with Him, I want to walk experience a personal relationship with Him. I want to Jesus to be the one thing I pursue above all else. Help me to shien His light to an increasingly dark world! in Jesus' name, Amen.

AUGUST 2 2026, SUNDAY Entry: 10:10am, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: LUKE 12:15 Then he said, "Beware! Guard against every kind of greed. Life is not measured by how much you own"

THE EMPTY PURSUIT OF MORE Greed. It wears like an invisible cloak, blending seamlessly into the fabric of modern culture. It silently seeps into our desires, clouds our judgement and distorts our values. Greed always seeks more-more validation, more status, more comfort, more things.

But the irony of greed is this: the more earthly possessions, status, or validation we gain, the more we are left dissatisfied.

In Luke 12:15, Jesus warns how this illusion of fulfillment through relentlessly collecting more blinds us to true contentment and purpose and is an empty pursuit

True fulfillment doesn't happen when we store up possessions or pursue unending comfort. True fulfillment is found when we're anchored in contentment, gratitude, and a deep relationship with God that leads to seeking His kingdom nad righteousness. (LUKE 12:31)

Where do you have an endless craving for more-more validation, more comfort, more possessions? Are there areas of your life where the constant pursuit of more might be overshadowing the pursuit of God's kingdom and His righteousness.

AUGUST 3 2026, MONDAY Entry: 9:11am, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: PSALMS 34:19 The righteous person faces many troubles, but the LORD comes to the rescue each time.

ALWAYS DEPENDABLE Do you ever feel like life has knocked the breath out of you? If so, you're not alone. In fact, it's no secret that this world is full of both beauty and trouble- of good things and hard things.

King David, whose like was recorded in various parts of the Old Testament, was highly accustomed to trouble - constantly threatened by legitimate enemies and faced with the reality of impending death.

Yet inspired by the Holy spirit, he wrote: "The righteous person faces many troubles, but the Lord comes to the rescue each time."

If there's one thing you can depend on, it's that God is alive, active and ever-present in you life…even the hardest parts of your life.

But who is the "righteous person" David speaks of in this particular Psalm, when other parts of the Bible say things like, "no one is righteous-not even one?" (Romans 3:10, Psalm 14:3). There's a trick to understanding this at-first-glance contradiction:

Righteousness can't be achieved, but it can be given.

When we trust in God, as well as His Son, Jesus Christ (who sacrificed His life so that we could truly live), we're trusting that His righteousness will extend to us as well.

To put it simply, a righteous person is one who relied on God's righteousness.

Seems unfair and unmerited, doesn't it? But that's grace. It's by grace, through faith, that we, that you, can be counted as righteous. You can't work for it and can't buy it.

Because of that, when we're facing hard things, we can expect God to show up in million unique ways. Not because we're righteous on our own, but because He is righteous on His own. and His righteousness has no limits.

So how does God show up?

He guides, He comforts. He corrects. He reroutes. He reminds us of true things. He helps us persevere. He brings wisdom and discernment to our minds. He inspires others to help us. He compels us to help others. He gives us peace in the midst of trouble. He encourages us as we stand boldly in faith. He works and works and works in mysterious ways.

And just when you might wonder is your neediness is becoming a nuisance to God, remember: God's presence is inexhaustible and His resources are limitless.

It's good to need God every moment or everyday. To breathe. To survive. To flourish.

So yes, trouble will come. But God will never leave your side.

BE ENCOURAGED If there's one thing you can depend on, it's that God is alive, active and present-even the hardest parts of your life.

AUGUST 4, 2026, TUESDAY Entry: 7:40am, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: JAMES 3:13 If you are wise and understand God's ways, prove it by living an honorable life, doing good works with the humility that comes from wisdom.

WHAT LIVING WELL LOOKS LIKE If you're a good athlete, it shows every time you compete. If you're a fantastic cook, the truth comes out in the kitchen. If you have a brilliant mind, you can't help but solve problems. If you have a stunning voice, such talent can't stay hidden.

We might present ourselves a certain way, but who we are still eventually come out. This is why James encourages Christians to prove who they are through the way they live. To prove something simply means to show that it's true.

Do you say that you trust God? Prove it by starting your day with a genuine confidence in Him.

Do you say that you love your neighbor? Show it by going out of your way to notice, serve, and honor the people around you. Do you call yourself a follower of Jesus? Prove it by living your life in a way that reflects His heart.

This doesn't mean you''' be perfect, but it does mean that even when you mess up, you will still try to make things right. And not because you must work for God's favor or earn His love, but because your actions reveal what is happening inside of you. As Jesus said in Luke 6:45, "What you say flows from what is in your heart."

So, how can we live an honorable life? By doing good works with humility that comes from wisdom. Not worldly wisdom, but godly wisdom. When we stick close to God, who invented wisdom, He transforms us from the inside out.

So if you claim to be wise and understand God's ways, prove it my the way you live. And when questions arise-go to the One who has answers. Even on the most overwhelming of days, trust that God is by your side.

Today, ask yourself: "Do my thoughts match what people see on the outside?" Then Ask God: "Show me how to do what you've called me to do, and be who You've called me to be."

REFLECTION There is no real wisdom apart from God- your Creator, Sustainer, and Savior.

SHARE YOUR FAITH Ask yourself: "Do my actions match my intentions?" Then, do something- in Jesus' name.

God, please who me how to live an honorable life. Remind me how to love others like You have loved me. Teach me how to week Your wisdom, so that I might live for You. I want to worship You with my life. In Jesus' name. Amen.

ROMANS 5:5 And this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love.

What we place our hope in influences our ability to endure difficult times. If we cling to something that is taken from us, our lives will crumble. What does placing your hope in God mean to you? Share with God whatever comes to mind.

JOHN 14:27 I am leaving you with a gift- a peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid.

Imagine God hands you a gift His peace. In return, He asks you to give Him your worries and concerns. That may seem crazy, but that's exactly what God wants from you. Think about that as you talk to Him about what's on your mind today.

VERSE OF THE DAY: EPHESIANS3:20-21 Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

IMMEASURABLE MORE What's the boldest prayer you can think to pray? Or the most incredible thing you can dare to imagine?

Did you know that God can top it?

You know those quiet dreams in your heart? God put them there. You know the ache for something better than this broken world? God gave you that desire. You know the deepest longings of your soul? God knows how to fulfill them.

Like Paul said, God can do more than we ask or imagine, but we also must remember the second part of his words: "According to His power at work within us."

It's all God's power and His plan. But He has invited us into it.

So what's our part in this process?

We can give glory to Him-knowing that it's Him who gives us the desire and power to do what pleases Him (Philippians 2:13) He created us, loves us, and he entrusted us with sharing His message with the world.

We can submit ourselves to His plan-knowing that's all God, but He chooses to work in and through His people to accomplish His purposes. He doesn't need us to be perfect, He just wants us to be willing.

We can trust Him with the process-knowing that He is good, righteous, worthy, strong, and eternal/ We don't have to know all the answer because we already have Him, and He can do more than we can ask or imagine.

SHARE YOUR FAITH It's all God's power and plan, but He has invited us into it. Will follow His promptings today? Tell someone about the saving grace of Jesus, and trust that He can do more than you can dare to ask or think.

God, I believe that You are able to make all things new. You're able to mend division, restore brokenness, comfort the weary, heal the sick, and bring peace out of chaos. Nothing is too difficult for You. You are worthy of all honor and praise. No one compares to You! In Jesus' name, Amen.

JEREMIAH 32:17 "O Sovereign LORD! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!" Bring to God whatever awe and adoration comes to mind right now.

JOHN 14:28 But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representive-that is, the Holy Spirit-he will teach you everything I have told you. Whatever you're going through, you have someone advocating for you. Keep that in mind as you bring your concerns to God.

JULY 29, 2026, WEDNESDAY Entry: 11:06pm, Commonwealth QC

VERSE OF THE DAY:

ROMANS 12:1 And so, dear brothers and sisters, I plead with you to give your bodies to God because of all he has done for you. Let them be a living and holy sacrifice-the kind he will find acceptable. This is truly the way to worship him.

PURSUE WHAT MATTERS MOST In the book of Romans, Paul begs Christians to give their entire lives over to God because God sacrificed everything for them.

Jesus gave up His life so that we could experience His unending love and grace. We cheapen His gifts if we refuse to align our lives with the way Jesus lives. But we give our lives to God by making Him the one thing we pursue above anything else.

So here are 5 steps you can practice-right now- to help you put God first:

-GIVE THANKS "We give thanks to you, O God we give thanks, for your name is near. We recount your wondrous deeds" PSALMS 75:1

Right now, take a moment to thank God for what He's already done for you. Reflect on His faithfulness, and recount the stories you have seen and heard of His wonderful power.

-SPEND 5 MINUTES IN SILENCE "Abide in me, and I in you" JOHN 15:4

Abiding in Jesus starts with stillness. So right now, pause, take a deep breath and give anything concerning you over to God. Spend 5 minutes centering your heart on the One who matters most.

-REMEMBER WHOSE YOU ARE "You are not your own, for you were bought with a price" 1 Corinthians 6:19-20

God loves you. The price He paid for your cost Him everything. So remind yourself of whose you are, and reflect on some of the things God says about you.

-MEDITATE ON GOD'S WORD "Oh how I love your law! it is my meditation all the day" PSALMS 119:97

One of the best ways to find out how Jesus wants you to live is by spending time in Scripture. As you do, ask God to speak to you through His Word about His will for you.

-FOCUS ON WHAT IS EXCELLENT "..If there is any excellent…think about these things." PHILIPPIANS 4:8

You have been given the mind of Christ. If you're not sure what you should think about, try asking yourself: What is praiseworthy? What thoughts and actions would honor God? Make a list of whatever comes to mind, and pursue those things.

By practicing these steps every day, you can create habits that will help you pursue intimacy with God every day, and put Him first above everything else.

SHARE YOUR FAITH When you choose to honor God with your life, people notice. Today, live for an audience of One. As you do, others will be drawn to God's Spirit-moving in and through you.

JULY 30, 2026, THURSDAY Entry: 10:37am, Commonwealth QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: PROVERBS 18:21 The tongue can bring death or life; those who love to talk will reap the consequences.

THE POWER OF LIFE AND DEATH Think of a time you said something you regret, or were the target of undeserved gossip. Now, reflect on a situation where you encourages a friend who was hurting, or felt the life-giving effects of someone else's words.

Words matter, Your words matter. And God has given you the freedom to choose how you use them.

Are you using your words to tear down or build up? To provoke destruction or stimulate restoration? Do your words stir up drama or encourage peace?

"What you say flows from what is in your heart," Jesus explained in Luke 6:45.

Fruit reveals the health of a tree, just as a tongue reveals what is happening in the heart. Most of us want to use our words for good and not for harm. We don't want to be unkind or critical. But James 3 tells us that the tongue is unstable and cannot seem to be tamed.

So, what can we do? Is there a way to control it?

Self-control is a fruit the Holy Spirit produces in us, which means we can't manufacture controlling our tongues on our own. But, we do have a part to play in the process: we need to stick close to Jesus.

When we need His Word, seek His face, and walk in His ways (no matter how many times we mess up and have to begin again), love joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithful, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control begin to grow in our lives. The biblical term is abiding, staying, continuing or remaining in Jesus' presence.

As we abide with Jesus, the Holy Spirit begins to curb the way we speak and change the way we act. When that happened, our words start to bring life and hope to the people around us.

So this week, how will you use your words to bring healing and hope to people?? If this isn't something you're used to doing, it's never too early to speak words that spark life.

REFLECTION Words matter. Your words matter. And God has given you the freedom to choose how you use them.

SHARE YOUR FAITH Today, make a commitment to speak life. Use your words to bring healing and hope to everyone you encounter.

God, I submit my words to You. Please fill my mind with thoughts that honor You and other people, so that my words will bring life and encouragement to everyone I encounter. Transform me into a new person by changing the way I think -and the way I speak. In Jesus' name, Amen.

JOHN 1:1-3 In the beginning the Word already existed. The Word was with God, and the Word was God. He existed in the beginning with God. God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through him.

What does this passage show you about the relationship between God the Father and God the Son? Take a moment to meditate on this verse, and offer God any worship that comes to mind.

1 PETER 4:19 So if you are suffering in a manner that pleases God, keep on doing what is right, and trust your lives to the God who created you, for he will never fail you.

REVELATIONS 4:11 You are worthy, O Lord our God, to receive glory and honor and power. For you created all things, and they exist because you created what you pleased.

HE IS WORTHY We have a powerful Creator, but it's easy to forget how magnificent He is. We live in a world filled with His miracles, but it's common to become desensitized to the wonder of it all.

God created something from nothing-speaking life, meaning, and purpose into existence. He's the author of everything, He is worthy of our worship.

Whales roam the seas, bears scavenge the mountaintops, fireflies light up the countryside, People explore the world, build skyscrapers, cook meals, develop languages, and form complex relationships - with God and with each other.

"All things" as the verse says, includes everything we can see and even the things we can't-both the visible and invisible. "All things" also includes you.

You were intentionally and uniquely designed by God. You were put on this planet on purpose at this specific time in history. You have been empowered to shine and share His love, in distinct and special way that's completely unique to you.

So take a moment to recognize.. God made you and He loves you. He is worthy of your praise.

BE ENCOURAGED No matter where you are or what you're facing today, you are never alone.

SHARE YOUR FAITH When you interact with others, remember: they were made in God's image too. When you love His people, you are loving Him.

JULY 27 2026, MONDAY Entry: 9:04pm, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: JAMES 1:19 Understand this, my dear brothers and sisters: You must all be quick to listen, slow to speak. and slow to become angry.

PRACTICE MAKES PROGRESS When we're in difficult situations, it isn't easy to stay calm or hold our tongues for very long. But in James 1:19, we learn how we should respond. Br quick to listen, Be slow to speak, Be slow to anger, Be slow to anger.

The world is more like the opposite:

Be slow to hear what others have to say. Be quick to voice your own opinions. Be quick to accuse, argue, and fight.

Why is to important to James that Christ's followers don't behave like this? Because "human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires." James 1:20

So what does produce the right kind of living that God desires?

The Word of God.

James told his friends to "get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you." James 1:21

He said that if they have the Word of God in the, and if they are obeying it, they will be blessed.( James 1:25)

James is clear that if we are to be followers of God, we must know His Word and obey it. That means we need to take time to listen to others, pace ourselves when we speak and keep our anger at bay.

So next time you're faced with something that makes you angry, take James' words to heart. Take time to temper your emotions, think through your feelings and arguments and humbly pray for God to help you respond with kindness and grace.

SHARE YOUR FAITH Today, practice being quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to get angry-in Jesus' name, Amen. When our attitudes and actions reflect God's character, others will be drawn to His love.

JULY 28, 2026, TUESDAY Entry: 8:46am, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY" REVELATION 21:4 He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death or sorrow or crying or pain, all these things are gone forever.

PROMISES OF COMFORT One of the hardest truth to reconcile in the Christian life is the presence of evil in the world God created. Whether we've seen evil, or evil has been done to us, it is hard to make sense of why God would allow evil things to happen.

The truth is: the world we live in is broken. Because we have neglected God's path for living, the world is not as it should be. But even though evil exist, God's promise still remains: evil will not win. The brokenness of our world will not last forever.

The book of Revelation gives us an insight into the future of all things. While there are a lot of odd symbols and events in Revelation. There are also some very clear and hopeful pictures of what will happen.

One of the promises that we hold onto in dark times is in Revelation 21:4. God promises He will wipe away every tear-which means He will be our everlasting Comforter. He promises that in heaven there will be no death or mourning, no crying nor pain.

While our temporary time on earth might be filled with pain and grief, we look forward to the future when we will join God in heaven and be free of death and decay. This truth should fill is with hope and endurance in the midst of pain and sorrow.

If you're currently going through a difficult time, take some time to pray to God, and ask Him for help and courage. Keep in mind His promises to make all things right in the end, and let that hope carry you forward as you follow after Him.

SHARE YOUR FAITH Someone you know is enduring a season of grief and mourning. Take a moment to pray for them. Be intentional to reach out to those who are grieving and to share God's comfort and hope.

Father God, thank You for deeply caring about who I am, I'm so grateful that, one day, You will take away all the pain and hardship I've experienced. But until that day comes, I will trust You and cling to You. I will place my hope in You. I will bring You my pain, and allow You to comfort me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

JOHN 3:16 For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

Take a moment and think about what this verse says about God's heart. Don't rush. Simply express whatever comes to mind to Him

1 CORINTHIANS 6:12 You say, "I am allowed to do anything" - but not everything Is good for you. And even though, "I am allowed to do anything," I must not become a slave to anything.

Is there anything keeping you from drawing closer to God? Be honest with Him about how you're doing, and voice your concerns.

JULY 24 2026, FRIDAY Entry: 7:51am, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: 1 CORINTHIANS 10:13 The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience, and God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way our so that you can endure.

A WAY OUT Life is full of difficulties and challenges. Especially as Christians, our desire to follow God's paths for our lives can sometimes go directly against what out culture tells us to do. Living according to God's way can be particularly difficult because of various temptations that might cause us to get distracted.

1 Corinthians 10:13 casually acknowledges that we all will experience temptation. It also does not promise that all of our temptations will be easy to overcome.

But it also says that God promises to be faithful to help is through whatever temptations we face. God will provide a way for us to escape temptation. it also does not promise that all of our temptations will be easy to overcome.

But it also says that God promises to be faithful to help us through whatever temptations we face. God will provide a way for us to escape every temptation. God will strengthen us so we can endure through trials.

God has given us instructions and a pathway for right-living in His Word. Everything that we need in order to live a healthy, godly life is included in Scripture.

Paul, the author of the letters to the church in Corinth, cautious his readers not be prideful in their spiritual life. When we are prideful, we can falsely believe that we're immune to temptations. But when we're prideful, we are actually most susceptible to fall into temptation.

So rather than being arrogant, we should be humble. We ought to depend on God's power rather than our own. It is only through a growing relationship with Jesus that we truly find the strength to endure trials and temptations.

If you find yourself caught in temptations, draw near to God. Ask Him to give you His strength so that you can endure. Make it a priority to strengthen your relationship in Him through reading God's Word and praying to Him.

Never forget that God always provides a way for you to escape temptations. He is always faithful and always with you.

BE ENCOURAGED When you know the character of God, you can more easily resist the temptations of the world.

VERSE OF THE DAY: PROVERBS 17:17 A friend is always loyal and a brother is born to help in time of need.

NOW IS THE TIME TO REPRIORITIZE As much as the world around us tries to lure us into self-dependency, God-created us for each other. For community. For a life that's not lived alone.

We'll all face hard times - sometimes when we least expect it. But a friend's genuine care mean the world, a sibling's unconditional love can't be replaced, and a neighbor's practical help is priceless.

We need each other more than we realize: emotionally, practically, spiritually.

If you've found yourself in a busy season where you've unintentionally neglected your true friends or been too busy for your real family, now is the time to reprioritize.

If there's unresolved conflict with a friend or family member, and it's slowly deteriorating the relationship, now is the time to set aside your pride and choose to make things right.

If you're silently struggling on your own, now is the moment to let someone in. Give them a call, send them a text, or show up on their doorstep. If you can't be honest and vulnerable, it will be difficult to get help.

Not only do you need people, but those same people need you.

You have strengths, gifts, talents and a personality that's unique to you and beneficial to them, and vice versa. Why bury them in the ground, in the name of autonomy, when they can benefit others?

Sometimes we need to ask for help, and sometimes we need to be the help. Do you need help or can you offer it? Could you use a hand, or do you have some extra time, money, advice, or expertise to give?

If you're tempted to self-isolate, don't forget: we were meant to live life together.

SHARE YOUR FAITH We need each other more than we realize: physically, emotionally and spiritually. Who in your life is struggling? Check on them. Think of ways to serve and encourage them, in Jesus' name.

God, thank You that I don't have to go through life alone. You are always with me, and You've put people in my life to help me. I'm grateful You created us to depend on each other and share our life experiences. Community is Your design, and I don't want to take it for granted. Help me to love and serve my friends well, In Jesus' name, Amen.

HONOR GOD MALACHI 3:6 I am the LORD, and I do not change. That is why you descendants of Jacob are not already destroyed. Reflect on God's steadfastness and give Him whatever praise and honor come to mind.

PSALMS 23:1-2 The LORD is my shepherd; I have all that I need. He lets me rest in green meadows; he leads me beside peaceful streams. You belong to the God who wants you to rest. Take couple of deep breaths, and then talk to God about what's on your mind.

VERSE OF THE DAY: PROVERBS 19:21 You can make many plans, but the LORD's purpose will prevail

PLANNING AHEAD Think about your upcoming plans for the day, week, year, and beyond Maybe you want to start a business, raise a family, write a book. travel the world, start a ministry, volunteer in your city, plant a garden, pay off debt.

Making plans isn't a bad thing. In fact, the Bible tells us that we will harvest what we plant (Galatians 6:7) so we should be diligent-not lazy-to wisely prepare for the future. But we must simultaneously hold those plans loosely, because God knows the full picture of our lives.

God is always working in and through His people, giving them the desire and power to do what pleases Him (Philippians 2:13) But sometimes, we require rerouting. Sometimes what we want isn't in His plan.

But even when we don't get what we've hoped for, He always has our good and His glory in mind.

Jesus modeled how to surrender His own plans by literally giving His life up for us-for our freedom. And, even though it wasn't easy, our lives and our futures look different because God's purpose prevailed.

So today, make a list of some your plans and dreams. Then hold your hands out in front of you, and visualize giving all of you dreams and plans over to God. Picture all of those plans evaporating from your hands. Then, ask God to show you which plans He wants to give back to you and if there are any new dreams He's longing for you to receive.

JULY 20 2026, MONDAY Entry: 11:25pm, Baguio City

VERSE OF THE DAY: MATTHEW 7:14 But the gateway to life is very narrow and the road is difficult, and only a few find it.

THE NARROW GATE What’s easier? Lounging on your couch or hiking up a mountain? Scarfing down a candy bar or cooking a healthy meal? Complaining about a problem or working diligently to solve it? Saving your hard-earned money or spending it all in one night?

Just because something is easy doesn’t mean it's what's best.

Jesus knew this. In fact, He often chose the harder road with purpose over an easy one with no meaning. He said:

“Enter by the narrow gate. For the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many. For the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few.” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭7‬:‭13‬-‭14‬ ‭ESV‬‬

Though Jesus beckons the entire world, His invitation is also exclusive. Because all paths, all religions, and all good intentions do not lead to God.

Jesus isn’t implying that we can earn our own salvation by searching the hardest or climbing the highest or praying the longest to find some elusive gate. Instead, Jesus makes it clear in John 10:7, saying, “I am the gate…”

The way to the one true God, the Creator of this world and the Sustainer of your life, is through Jesus Christ—who loves you, gave His life for you, and was raised from the dead so that you could live.

You can’t earn His love or salvation, but you can accept His gift of grace and enter through the narrow gate.

Yes, it’s easier to scroll social media than to think about the deeper meaning of life. It’s easier to stay busy and distracted than to confess and repent of your sins. It’s easier to dismiss God altogether than to trust Him with your soul.

But the harder road is worth it. The narrow gate leads to life, and there is no other way than our Savior, Jesus Christ.

SHARE YOUR FAITH The way to the one true God, the creator of this world and the sustainer of your life is through Jesus Christ.

JULY 21, 2026, TUESDAY Entry: 11:17pm, Baguio City

VERSE OF THE DAY: JEREMIAH 31:25 For I have given rest to the weary and joy to the sorrowing.

FINDING MARGIN IN GOD'S PRESENCE I passed a wall of magazines at an airport—one headline stopping me in my tracks. It said, “Why We Are More Exhausted Than Ever.”

That day I was so fatigued I could feel it in my soul. Like many, I had embraced a lifestyle of long hours, chronic stress, constant travel, endless screen time, and a pace with minimal margin.

In trying to serve others, as well as feed poor and suffering people around the world, I had slowly neglected my own needs and the remedies God had provided to keep me whole.

That strategy works—until it doesn’t.

This life is an incredible adventure, but our minds, bodies, and souls require attention—not neglect.

The world offers promises of happiness and contentment that inevitably fall short and lead to disillusionment and disappointment. God, on the other hand, offers care for our deepest needs and everyday challenges.

"I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint." Jeremiah 31:25 NIV

Many of the professions with the highest rates of burnout are service-oriented: doctors, nurses, teachers, police officers, ministers, social workers, military personnel, and parents of young children.

While the priorities and practices propagated by this world ultimately lead to weariness, the ways of God lead to lasting renewal.

After reading that magazine article and studying Scripture, I was reminded of a simple truth: The most significant step we can take to remain refreshed is to spend time in God’s presence. That unlocks the door to wisdom, perspective, respite, refreshment, and restores our mind, body and soul.

In other words, our hope soars when we spend time in the presence of God. Prayer, worship, Scripture reading, church participation, and service to others invites God’s presence and provides the antidote to a weary world.

The world offers distractions and temporary relief that ultimately leave us empty. Conversely, God offers renewal that provides focus, contentment, energy, and vision.

Receive those gifts, then use them to serve others and introduce them to Jesus.

JULY 22, 2026, WEDNESDAY Entry: 11:07pm, Baguio City

VERSE OF THE DAY: MATTHEW 6:25 That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life-whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn't life more than food, and your body more than clothing?

DON'T OVERTHINK IT

How much time do you spend thinking about what to eat, or worrying about what to wear? Do you obsess over having—or being—enough?

While there’s nothing wrong with meal planning for the weeks ahead or creating a monthly budget, Jesus explains that worrying doesn’t help:

“Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes?” ‭‭Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭25‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Jesus never said not to think about your basic needs—He said not to worry about them.

God knows what you need before you do. God knows your prayers before you pray them.

Recognizing your physical needs can remind you of your spiritual needs—an invitation to trust your ultimate Provider.

Later in the same chapter, Jesus reminds His disciples that if God provides for the birds and the flowers, He will provide for His people that much more. Then He adds, “But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.” (Matthew‬ ‭6‬:‭33‬)‬‬

Life is more than the food we eat, the drinks we consume, and the clothes we wear. In fact, Jesus is life. He is “the way, the truth, and the life,” to be exact. (John 14:6)

So, let’s seek Him first. Let’s do the work entrusted to us while trusting in Him for provision. And let’s not waste another second overthinking it.

LOVE IN ACTION Scripture has a lot to say about the way we treat people. If we have been saved by God, and have been shown the mercy and goodness of God, then we ought to show mercy and goodness to other people. Essentially…

What we believe should determine how we act.

All of us who have received grace freely from God ought to also give grace freely to others. In Paul’s letter to the church in Ephesus, he encourages them to be kind and compassionate to others. This idea is spread across all of God’s Word…

“Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.” 1 John 4:11 NIV

“…All of you, be like-minded, be sympathetic, love one another, be compassionate and humble.” 1 Peter 3:8 NIV.

“You must be compassionate, just as your Father is compassionate.” Luke 6:36 NLT

Showing other people compassion is one of the primary ways that we can communicate God’s love to other people. If we fail to love others, we also fail to show them God’s love.

Paul also says we should forgive other people in our life, just as we have already been forgiven by Jesus. Forgiveness and compassion go together. When we do not forgive others, we fail to show them the same compassionate love that Jesus has shown us. A love that, as it suffered for us and because of us, still allowed Jesus to say, "Father forgive them—they don't know what they are doing." We ought to be careful that we do not deny others the same love we’ve been freely given.

But right now, take some time to think about the people in your own life who you may have the opportunity to show compassion to. Is there someone in need who you can help? Is there a person you can forgive? Is there someone who you can encourage?

Today is a great day to show people the same love, compassion, and forgiveness that you have received.

REFLECTION Take a moment to consider the many ways that God has forgiven you.

SHARE YOUR FAITH Today, choose to extend the same love, compassion, and forgiveness that you have received.

God, thank You for choosing to forgive me. I don't deserve Your forgiveness, but I'm so thankful for it. I want to be like You and, because You have forgiven me, I want to forgive others. Help me to remember Your generous gift of forgiveness, and release my anger towards those who have wronged me. In Jesus' name, Amen.

MATTHEW 6:9 Pray like this: Our FAther in heaven, may your name be kept holy.

Right now, spend some time thinking about God's holiness. Inhale deeply and focus on these words: "Our Father in heaven" As you slowly exhale, say: "Holy is Your name." Repeat this exercise as often as you need.

PSALMS 28:7 The LORD is my strength and shield. I trust him with all my heart. He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy. I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
