JULY 3 2026, SATURDAY Entry: 2:53PM, BGC

VERSE OF THE DAY: HEBREWS 12:14 Work at living in peace with everyone, and word at living a holy life, for those who are not holy will not see the Lord.

PEACE WHEREVER POSSIBLE What does holy living look like?

According to the teachings in the New Testament, it's living in accordance with God's Word. Holiness means saying "no" to wrong actions, and seeking forgiveness when we do make mistakes. It looks like putting aside any selfish interests in order to pursue the good plans God has for the world.

The writer of the letter to the Hebrews understood that this wasn't easy do he encouraged his readers to "run with perseverance" while stripping off anything that might slow them down or trip them up (Hebrews 12:1-2)

The author of Hebrews then encourages his readers to be holy, to live according to God's commands and ways. Holiness gives others a window to see God in our lives. It also gives us the opportunity to love others the way Jesus would love them. As we pursue a relationship with God, the way we interact with people should change.

The author of Hebrews describes God as the God of peace (Hebrews 13:20). If our desire is to obey God and be like Him, then we should make every effort to live in peace with everyone.

When we live with anger or bitterness toward others. We're unable to show the, the love of Jesus. A love that sets us apart and shows off God's glory.

Living at peace with people does not mean that we have to love everyone the same way or blindly accept misconduct. But, it does not mean that we make an effort wherever possible to generously seek wholeness, reconciliation, and forgiveness-actions that lead to peace.

Take a moment today to consider your relationships with others. Are your relationships marked by anger or bitterness, or are you living at peace with others? If there is someone in your life you have not forgotten, make an effort to begin to make things right. Consider how you can live a life that aligns with God's Word, so that others can see God working within you.

REFELCTION When you read the following verse, who comes to mind? Consider what next step God is asking you to take.

SHARE YOUR FAITH When we seek forgiveness, reconciliation, and peace, we are a living reflection of our Father's heart.

God, You invite me into a peaceful relationship with You-where I can be fully known and loved. You also invite me to pursue peace with others. Please help me to approach my relationships with grace and wisdom. Grant me the knowledge to recognize when I should speak and when I should listen. In Jesus' name, Amen.

1 CHRONICLES 16:11 Search for the LORD and for His strength; continually seek him.

God is able to support us when we're weak, and strengthen us when we feel weary. Spend a few moments focusing on how strong and powerful He is. and give Him whatever praise comes to mind.

2 TIMOTHY 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.

God is with you at all times and equips you for every situation. Take some time to talk to Him about any anxieties or insecurities that might be holding you back from embracing His love and power.

DAILY BIBLE READING: JOB 25-27 ACTS 12 BILDAD'S 3RD RESPONSE TO JOB “God is powerful and dreadful. He enforces peace in the heavens. JOB'S NINTH SPEECH: A RESPONSE TO BILDAD These are just the beginning of all that he does, merely a whisper of his power. Who, then, can comprehend the thunder of his power?” JOB'S FINAL SPEECH 2“I vow by the living God, who has taken away my rights, by the Almighty who has embittered my soul— 3As long as I live, while I have breath from God, 4my lips will speak no evil, and my tongue will speak no lies. 5I will never concede that you are right; I will defend my integrity until I die. 6I will maintain my innocence without wavering. My conscience is clear for as long as I live. JAMES IS KILLED AND PETER IS IMPRISONED while Peter was in prison, the church prayed very earnestly for him. PETER'S MIRACULOUS ESCAPE FROM PRISON 7Suddenly, there was a bright light in the cell, and an angel of the Lord stood before Peter. The angel struck him on the side to awaken him and said, “Quick! Get up!” And the chains fell off his wrists. 8Then the angel told him, “Get dressed and put on your sandals.” And he did. “Now put on your coat and follow me,” the angel ordered.

WHEN TO STOP PRAYING

You've done every step right. You sought the Lord in prayer. Trusted in Jesus' name for reconciliation. You sincerely believed that God hears every word whispered-or at times-shouted in prayer. You continued to raise up passionate pleas of rescue to the Almighty God. You worshipped at His feet daily, in every season, you acknowledge God's goodness.

So what's the REAL reason why you do not see your prayers answered or come into fruition?

1.) YOU ASK FOR THE WRONG THINGS JAMES 4:3 1What is causing the quarrels and fights among you? Don’t they come from the evil desires at war within you? 2You want what you don’t have, so you scheme and kill to get it. You are jealous of what others have, but you can’t get it, so you fight and wage war to take it away from them. Yet you don’t have what you want because you don’t ask God for it. 3And even when you ask, you don’t get it because your motives are all wrong—you want only what will give you pleasure.

The same author who wrote this, also ended this passage with the solution. JAMES 4:7 7So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. 8Come close to God, and God will come close to you. Wash your hands, you sinners; purify your hearts, for your loyalty is divided between God and the world.

2.)YOU DENY THE POWER OF GOD 2 TIMOTHY 3:5 5They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

Timothy wrote this verse in the context of an unbelieving "believers". This group of people knows God but does not obey Him. They have prayers, but do not have faith. Outwardly, our schedules may be filled with countless hours of prayer and church worship/service.. but inwardly, our hearts lack that God-confidence and assurance that whatever is lifted up in prayers, in God's time and purpose, shall come to pass.

How can "believers" not believe?

In Acts 12, James was killed and Peter was imprisoned. He was placed under the guard of 4 squads of 4 soldiers each. While he was imprisoned, the church gathered in the home of Mary to pray. God sent an angel to rescue Peter and he was delivered to the front door where people are praying. Rhoda, a servant girl, recognized Peter's voice and she was so overjoyed that, instead of opening the door, she ran back inside and told everyone.

"PETER IS STANDING AT THE DOOR!"

You may think that the people immediately rejoiced, surprisingly, they DID NOT BELIEVE. This is where the our real faith is tested.

ACTS 12:15 "You're out of your mind!" they said. When she insisted, they decided, "it must be his angel"

Are you more likely to believe in "spiritual" or a "more dramatic" answers to your prayers? How is it more believable to expect an angel knocking on the door than Peter being freed?

Peter continued knocking, When they opened the door and saw him, they were amazed.

HEBREWS 11:1 Faith shows the reality of what we hope for; it is the evidence of things we cannot see.

These "believers" were unbelieving because of lack of faith. How can you pray for something you won't believe until you see it?

Your breakthrough knocks at the door of your heart, and yet, you deny the Power of God to deliver it to you. There's a time to stop praying, and start thanking God for the answered prayers that your eyes have yet to see.

HEBREWS 11:5-6 5It was by faith that Enoch was taken up to heaven without dying—“he disappeared, because God took him.” For before he was taken up, he was known as a person who pleased God. 6And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek him.

Father, by the power of the Holy Spirit, let my eyes see what my heart already believes. Let my life show my faith in Your power and that You reward those who earnestly seeks You. I acknowledge that You are on the move, as I thank You for Your grace and mercy in my life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

JULY 1 2026, WEDNESDAY Entry: 8:50am, Commonwealth QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: ROMANS 12:12 Rejoice in our confident hope. Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.

HOW TO BUILD STRONG CHARACTER Paul, the author of the letter to the Church in Rome, frequently encouraged the believers in Rome amidst the persecution and adversity they were experiencing. The first half of Paul's letter corrects some of their thinking while the second half focuses on their character and actions.

In Romans 12, Paul is encouraging the believers to let love be the primary motivation for everything they do. When love is the foundation of who they are, then God can renew and transform every area of life. When they allow God to transform their character, that's when they're able to be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.

Christians have a unique hope in Jesus-we know that Jesus is victorious over evil and will one day return to make everything right. This means we can have hope in the midst of suffering or difficult times.

Paul knew that affliction produces steadfast character within us. When we choose to endure through suffering, Jesus forms strength and confidence within us that we couldn't attain otherwise.

But perseverance through affliction also requires constant communication with the One who transforms us through His love. Prayer is a vital part of this. It is the primary way we communicate with God, and it's also part of how the Holy Spirit strengthens us for following Jesus.

These three things create within us a stronger character in life. They mold us into the image of Jesus who was joyful in hope, patient in suffering, and faithful in prayer. So today, take some time to think of a few ways that you can become more like Jesus in these areas.

BE ENCOURAGED Today, surrender your struggles to God. Then, ask Him to help you choose joy, stay faithful, and keep trusting that He is at work.

SHARE YOUR FAITH When faith is genuine, others notice. Simple cling to Jesus and invite others to join you!

God, I am grateful for all the plans You've made for my life. Because You are in control, and constantly working, I can place my hope in You- even when I face trouble. Help me to have honest conversations with You when my future feels unclear. I know that You are trustworthy. In Jesus' name, Amen.

God, You reign above all! You are above all things and You hold all things and You hold all things together. Your name is holy, and Your words bring life and healing. You make known to me the paths that lead to life! All glory, honor, power, and praise belong to You alone! In Jesus' name, Amen.

COLOSSIANS 3:15 And let the peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as members of one body you are called to live in peace. And always be thankful.

Are there any parts of this verse that you have a hard time believing? Talk to God honestly about what you need, and how you feel. Make your requests known to Him.

HEBREWS 11:6 And it is impossible to please God without faith. Anyone who wants to come to him must believe that God exists and that he rewards those who sincerely seek Him.

JUNE 28, 2026, SUNDAY Entry: 11:34am, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: EPHESIANS 2:10 For we are God's masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

PART OF THE PLAN In the beginning, God created everything. Galaxies and volcanoes, fireflies and diamonds, oak trees and great white sharks. Finally, saving the best for last, He created humans in His image—to fill the earth, reign over its creatures, and cultivate a world that magnifies Him. But even before the beginning, God was already there. He spoke time and space into existence, while existing outside of time and space. And long before you were born, He already knew all about you—your strengths and weaknesses, your successes and failures. He knew all about you and still chose to make you… because He loves you! “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Ephesians 2:10 NIV You are God’s handiwork—sometimes translated as masterpiece, workmanship, or work of art. You are also God’s masterpiece because of the unique spirit, personality, and gifts that have been uniquely wired in you. Because we know that God is more brilliant than we could ever imagine, and because He loves us more than we could dare to hope, and because we know He writes great stories, we can trust what He has planned from beginning to end. And His plan includes you. Yes, you! He has prepared good things for you to step into—meaningful relationships and impactful work. He is continually putting people and opportunities in your path, as well as working inside of you, giving you the desire and power to do what pleases Him (Philippians 2:13). He has empowered you to partner with Him as we experience the greatest story on earth. So as you consider how God has intentionally designed you and placed you at this specific point in history, what passions and callings has He placed on your heart? This could be one big thing, or several small things. As you think about that, what step do you need to take to pursue your calling with God-given confidence?

JUNE 25, 2026, THURSDAY Entry: 9:25am, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: PSALMS 34:18 The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed.

CLOSER THAN YOU THINK in one unsuspecting moment, everything can change.

A relationship can shatter, a dream can suddenly end. Your heart can break for a million different reason: grief, rejection, loneliness, uncertainty, tragedy, betrayal.

When something terrible happens and the world makes zero sense.. The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; he rescues those whose spirits are crushed. PSALM 34:18

David, The writer of Psalm 34, preached what he lived. He experienced some intense highs and fierce lows, but he recognized God's presence in the midst of his circumstances. He knew that God was near, and God could change any situation in an instant.

Is your heart broken? Is your Spirit crushed?

God is near. He hasn't left you to fight for yourself. He sees you in your heartbreaks. He meets you where you are. He has not forgotten you. He has not abandoned you.

This doesn't mean you won't face hard things. But even when your mind races and your heart doubts, God offers a peace and an intimacy that cannot be fully explained.

Because of Jesus' death and resurrection, We now have constant access to God's presence through His Holy Spirit. There are many places in the Bible where the Holy Spirit is described as the Comforter, ready to soothe, guide, counsel, and encourage.

The comfort we receive from God is a gift from His Spirit who is always with us. So if your heart is breaking and your spirit is crushed, know that you are in good hands. God is near, and He will not abandon you.

Trials and hardships are a part of life, but God has the final say.

Right now, take a few moments to name anything that has crushed your spirit. Then, give yourself permission to just sit in God's presence for a few moments. When you're ready, consider memorizing today's verse and meditating on it throughout your day.

BE ENCOURAGED Is your heart broken? Is your spirit crushed? God is near. He has not forgotten you. He has not abandoned you.

JUNE 30 2026, TUESDAY Entry: 8:08am

VERSE OF THE DAY: LUKE 6:28 Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.

PRAY FOR WHO?

All throughout Jesus’ ministry, He constantly turned things upside down for those listening. The religious leaders at the time had grown distant from following the laws of God. Jesus’ teaching helped bring them back to the heart of the law, but He often did so through surprising ways. Most of us probably think we do a great job at loving other people. But if we’re being honest, most of us probably spend our time loving those who also love us back. It’s a lot easier to love the people who we’re friends with. When there’s trust built over time and common ground, it’s easy to love. Jesus says that loving those who love you is not enough. In Luke 6:28, He challenges us even further. He says we’re to bless those who speak negatively about us, and we are to pray for those who mistreat us. If you’ve ever been mistreated by someone, or had someone speak negatively about you, then you know how hard it can be to love that person. It is hard to love unloving people. And yet, Jesus did exactly that. When we were at our worst, He still loved us. If you find it hard to bless those who mistreat you, begin with prayer. Between you and God in prayer, ask Him to help soften your heart. Ask Him for justice in a specific situation, but also for there to be restoration. Every person who exists is a person Jesus wants to love. And when we make steps to love those who are unloving, we’re showing the love of Jesus to someone who needs it. As we take steps to pray for those who mistreat us, we become more like Jesus. Take a few minutes right now to pray. Ask God to help you grow in love towards those around you. If there's someone who has hurt you, ask God to begin healing your heart. Say a prayer for that person as well. Ask God to be with them, to help them, and to make a way for their heart to be softened as well. Thank Jesus that He loved us even when we were unloving.

REFLECTION When we are at our worst, God still loves us. Take a moment to thank Him for His amazing grace.

SHARE YOUR FAITH Is there someone who has hurt, mistreated, or even betrayed you? Bring that person before God in prayer. Ask Him to help you forgive them.

VERSE OF THE DAY: PSALMS 4:8 In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, O LORD, will keep me safe.

THE PEACE OF GOD FOR ANXIOUS HEARTS There is a lot of anxiety and worry in the world around us. Many people are worried about the quality of their future, the security of their investments, or the threat of sickness or war.

Anxiety and worry aren't just things that happens around us, but something that can also happen within us. A lot of people struggle with anxiety over their future, their family, their finances, their career, or their personal health.

Scripture tells us that while there are some things that are within our control, most things in life are outside of our control. So more often than not, we spend time worrying about things we have no control over.

Scripture tells us that trust in God should fill the gap between reality and what we desire. We should not be anxious about the things we cannot control, but rather we should submit everything to God in prayer. He alone has control over the unknown.

That is why the writer of Psalm 4 says that he will lay down at night in peace, free from anxiety and worry. Even though the writer is surrounded by danger, he places his trust in God. That leads him to sleep peacefully in safely.

The quality of our sleep is often a symptom of our trust in God. If we are anxious and restless at night, it could mean that there are things we’re not trusting God with.

Spend some time considering your own heart. Are you anxious or filled with worry? Meditate on God’s power and sovereignty. Ask Him to fill you with His peace and assurance that He is in control of your future. Continually remind yourself of the promises that God has given you in Scripture.

BE ENCOURAGED Allow yourself to be held by the God who never lets go.

JUNE 26 2026, FRIDAY Entry: 9:53am, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: COLOSSIANS 3:2 Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth.

SHARE YOUR FAITH Be intentional to invest in the things of heaven as you're living here on earth Ask Yourself: How can I honor God and inspire others today?

God, thank You for all of the wonderful things You've done in my life. Sometimes, when my circumstances are hard, I can forget about Your goodness. In those moments, help me to trust Your faithfulness and love for me. Help me to keep my focus on You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

THE NON VIOLENT DESTROYER What do we consider most glorious in our world? Power? Victory? Maybe beauty or wealth? Our answers will vary, but rarely would suffering and death make the list. Yet when Jesus enters Jerusalem knowing he will be crucified, he says, "The time has come for the Son of Man to be glorified." JOHN 12:23. What does that mean?

Just before this moment, massive crowds welcome Jesus as a king, cheering his triumphant entry into Jerusalem on a donkey on what we traditionally refer to as "Palm Sunday" Many has already called him a prophet; now they wondered, is he the Messiah?

The manner in which Jesus makes his way into the Holy City during Passover is a sign act that not so subtly implies that he is the glorious king God promised would rescue and rule over all creation-that he is the Messiah foretold by Zechariah 9:9-10 and the many other prophets of the Old testament. So, of course people were freaking out thinking, "Jesus is the One!"

But later, everything turns when Jesus doesn't match the people's expectations. They imagined a Messiah who would defeat evil with force, crushing enemies to establish peace. Instead, Jesus beings peace through humility, love, and forgiveness-even for his enemies.

Jesus knows his "hour" has come-not to escape his enemies or fight back, but to face evil and conquer it non-violently. He's driver by the power of love, healing, patience, and forgiveness. Later, even as Roman soldiers are in the act of killing him, Jesus prays for their forgiveness (Luke 23:34) And through it all he opens up a new path for humanity, a new way for us to live with one another in love.

Jesus breaks the cycle of violence and reframes everything people assume about glory. To him, humility and love are supremely glorious. And his resurrection confirms the power of such a posture: the way of humble love truly defeats Death. And now? Jesus invites us into that same way-a life of love, humility, and forgiveness. Because that's what real glory looks like.

JUNE 27 2026, SATURDAY Entry: 7:04am, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: JAMES 4:7 So humble yourselves before God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.

DAILY SURRENDER What does it mean to be humble in our relationship with God? There are three things that apostle James mentions that can help us: submit to God, resist the devil, and draw near to God.

SUBMIT TO GOD Submitting to God means coming under His authority. Rather than living according to our own desires and ways, we should submit those things to God and live according to His desires and standards In order to truly submit to God, we must first recognize that His ways are better than ours, and He knows better than we do. We must also believe that He has our best intentions in mind. He cares for us.

RESIST THE DEVIL The devil desires to keep us from our relationship with God and cause us to stay from Him. When we resist him with God's strength, he will flee from us.

DRAW NEAR TO GOD The best way to submit to God and resist the devil is to draw close to God in our relationship with Him. Not only does He promise to stay close to us, but He will also give us the strength and grace to endure every trial.

Take a moment to think about your own life. Are there parts of your life or plans that you haven't yet surrendered to God? Everyday is a new opportunity to submit ourselves to God and to draw near to Him.

BE ENCOURAGED Are your currently fighting a battle? Submit your situation to God and stand firm-in the mighty name of Jesus.

SHARE YOUR FAITH Invite someone to pray, worship, and read God's Word with you. This is how we fight out battles!

God, help me, You know the details of every good and hard thing in my life. I submit them all to You. Help me to stand firm in Your promises, and give me the strength to resist the enemy's schemes. In Jesus' name, Amen.

God, I want to honor You with every thought, idea, intention, and action. So today, I give You permission to change me. Let my whole life be one that honors You and brings You glory. You are holy and worthy of all my praise and adoration. My life is Yours! In Jesus' name, Amen.

ISAIAH 26:3 You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in you, all whose thoughts are fixed on you!

When worries start to overwhelm you, Imagine lifting up your eyes and seeing Jesus standing over you. Nothing is too hard for Him to handle. Give Him whatever concerns come to mind right now.

PHILIPPIANS 2:1-3 Is there are encouragement from belonging to Christ? Any comfort from his love? Any fellowship together in the Spirit? Are your hearts tender and compassionate? Then make me truly happy by agreeing wholeheartedly with each other, loving one another, and working together with one mind and purpose. Don't be selfish; don't try to impress others. Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.

MAY 3 2026, SUNDAY Entry: 8pm, Tandang Sora QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: ROMANS 1:16 For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes- the Jew first and also the Gentile.

SHARING GOOD NEWS What if no one had told you about Jesus?

Most people would like to make a good impact on this world. Some work towards leaving a long public legacy, while others focus on friends and family, with nothing really documenting how far their influence flows. IF we folloe one of God's greatest commandments: go and tell the world the good news of Jesus, we can have the greatest impact we could aim for in our lifetime. So why do we find it extremely hard sometimes to share this news that's been shared with us?

It's easy to donate to causes for people in need. Who would scoff at that impact? It's honorable to pour resources into medical research to benefit large populations. That impact might positively affect your loved ones or yourself. We vote for governments with policies to improve our cities and country. Those impacts are set in law. But sharing the good news of Jesus? That impact might bring division; someone close might reject His message. They might bring reject us. The apostle Paul lived a divisive life because he both rejected and accepted God's message. A self-proclaimed 'worst of sinners', he persecuted Christians before God revealed Himself, then experienced a life of hardship afterwards, spreading the Gospel throughout the hostile Roman Empire. But he wasn't ashamed of sharing God's good (but divisive) news because he knew it's impact would reach into eternity. (Romans 1:16)

You can't choose who will accept or reject the good news; we're just called to share it. What if someone has not shared Jesus with you?

SHARE YOUR FAITH God's story of redemption s for everyone, but not everyone has heard it. How can you share the Gospel today? Whether it's face to face, over text, or through social media, be bold to share His message of hope!

MAY 1 2026, FRIDAY Entry: 2:57am, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: GALATIANS 5:25 Since we are living by the Spirit, let us follow the Spirit's leading in every part of our lives.

BE ENCOURAGED We can't keep in step with the Holy Spirit by our own strength. But we can trust to lead us, help us, and sustain us.

YOU ARE NOT ALONE Have you ever felt like living the Christian life mostly meant trying harder? Praying more consistently. Making better decisions. Being stronger than you feel. The Bible describes something different. Life with the Spirit. Not a distant God you consult occasionally. A daily walk with the One who leads, helps, and forms Christ in you. Someone who is active and present with you as you go about your days. This isn't frantic spirituality, hustling to somehow match a supernatural pace. It's relationship, awareness, attentiveness. God actively leads-through Scripture, through conviction, through reshaped desires, and wisdom confirmed in community. Not every impulse is His voice. But He always glorifies Christ, never contradicts His Word, and remains true to His good character. And He still speaks. You can surge ahead, trying to force outcomes. You can drag behind in resistance. Or you can align with Him. Daily, quietly, step by step.

Maybe you've been carrying more than you've let on. Stress that follows you into sleep. Anxiety that meets you in the morning. God's spirit meets you there too, bringing fresh mercy and grace.

God's invitation to us today isn't to perform better. It's to walk closer.

Picture moving in step with God as you go about your day today. What do you imagine about His pace, and His presence as you journey with Him? Growth that lasts doesn't come form trying harder. It comes from somewhere else entirely, and that's what we're exploring tomorrow.

VERSE OF THE DAY: ROMANS 8:18 Yet what we suffer now is nothing compared to the glory he will reveal to us later.

SUFFERING REDEEMED Look around and you’ll quickly identify suffering, grief, and injustice. Maybe you’ve experienced some of these things yourself—a difficult season, a profound injustice, or a deep grief. Suffering rarely makes sense. And the hard truth is: most of our questions regarding suffering will go unanswered at this time. However, Romans 8:18 provides us with a perspective that can help us in seasons of suffering: "I consider that our present sufferings are not worth comparing with the glory that will be revealed in us." In this verse, Paul, the author of Romans, points us to the future. All throughout Scripture, God has been working within His people to bring redemption and make things new. We live in one reality, which includes suffering and grief. But one day, God will return and complete the work He has begun in Jesus. When He returns, Scripture says that all suffering will cease. There will be no more tears, pain, or sickness (Revelation 21:4). At that time, when we join God in heaven, we will be perfected and made whole. Paul’s encouragement to us is this: persevere through your current season of suffering because what awaits you will be worth waiting for. When God returns and brings us into His presence, we won’t think of the past suffering that we’ve endured. This is why Paul says that our present suffering cannot compare to what will be revealed in us in the future. How often do you think about heaven? How often do you praise God for His continued work of redeeming us and making us new? Take some time to think about these things. The more we consider the future and our union with God, the more this perspective will encourage us to endure difficult seasons of life.

SHARE YOUR FAITH Trials are invitations to come close to God and become more like Him. Remind yourself and others: The struggle you're in today is producing the strength you need for tomorrow. God can be trusted, and it will be worth it!

VERSE OF THE DAY: Matthew 9:37-38 He said to his disciples, "The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into the fields."

THE URGENT CALL Have you ever shared the Good News of Jesus with someone in your life?

When Jesus was teaching and training the twelve disciples, he often used imagery and metaphors that were part of their culture to communicate important truths to them. In Matthew 9:37-38, Jesus relates the work that He is doing to a farmer’s work in the field.

Jesus says that the people who do not know Jesus are like a field of grain that's ready to be harvested. But, there are not enough workers to go and harvest among the fields. Jesus says to pray that God would send more workers to gather the harvest.

Essentially, there are people who are ready and willing to hear and respond to the Gospel message—the hope that Jesus brings for every person. But when Jesus says "the workers are few" (Matthew 9:38), what He really means is: there are not enough people sharing the Good News with others.

As Christians, we are entrusted with the free gift of eternal life, and we’re tasked with sharing that message with others. However, many Christians keep their faith to themselves.

We are to be bold in sharing the message of the cross with other people so that they can experience new life in Jesus, too.

Take a few minutes today to consider what small step you can take to begin sharing Jesus with other people. Pray for God to give you courage, and then step out and begin sharing with others.

VERSE OF THE DAY: JOHN 8:12 Jesus spoke to the people once more and said," I am the light of the world. If you follow me, you won't have to walk in darkness, because you will have the light that leads to life."

LEAVE THE DARKNESS BEHIND Think back to Genesis 1 when God created the world. One of the first things God said was, “Let there be light” (Genesis 1:3). Just like God created light to shine upon the earth, Jesus came as a light to all mankind.

In John 8:12, Jesus says, "I am the light of the world…" He also points out that light is necessary for finding our way in this world.

Jesus is the light that guides men and women into true life. He's the light that illuminates our path, as well as the one who illuminates the rest of the world. It is by Jesus’ light that we can clearly discern what is right and good.

The picture of light in the darkness is significant. It means vision instead of blindness, confidence instead of confusion, hope instead of despair.

If you're feeling lost, disoriented, or stuck in the dark, start by saying His name: Jesus. Then, take a step—asking Him to light up the darkness. And as you continue to follow Him, one step at a time, He will show you the way.

Take a moment to thank God for shining His light in your life. Because of Jesus, you can leave the darkness behind and experience the light that leads to life.

SHARE YOUR FAITH As the world around us grows darker, the light of Christ will shine brighter. Jesus has commissioned us to be beacons of light-illuminating truth pushing back the darkness, and shining God's love for all to see.

MAY 6 2026, WEDNESDAY Entry: 6:44pm, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: ACTS 2:38 Peter replied, "Each of you must repent of your sins and turn to God, adn be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. Then you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

TRANSFORMED PERSON Have you ever felt like you needed to have a do-over? If so, you’re in good company. Peter knew this feeling well.

Peter was one of Jesus’ twelve disciples, invited by Jesus Himself to leave his life as a fisherman to join Him during His ministry on earth. On the night that Jesus was betrayed, Peter followed Him to the sham trial. The people in the area were openly and aggressively hostile to Jesus. Imagine what that must have felt like—to be surrounded by people who may choose to treat Peter the way they were treating Jesus at that very moment.

In Matthew 26 and Luke 22, we see that Peter chose to keep a low profile. He wanted to go unnoticed by the angry mob. That didn’t work for long though—three different people recognized him as a follower of Jesus and asked him about it. Each of the three times, Peter denied ever knowing Jesus.

If we skip ahead in Scripture, though, we find Peter doing the exact opposite. In Acts 2, Peter is standing in front of a big crowd, filled with people who may persecute him. Rather than denying knowing Jesus, he proclaims the secret to life: repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and receive the Holy Spirit.

This is risky. What will people think? What if they turn on him the way that they did Jesus? Yet, he was bold anyway. He was a transformed person compared to who he had been earlier in the story.

How did Peter transform? He was restored by Jesus. He also received the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Two major things happened between these passages of scripture: Jesus visited Peter, and with grace, restored him. Secondly, the Holy Spirit came down from heaven for the followers of Jesus. With the Holy Spirit came power, empowering the believers to live bold, transformed lives (Acts 2).

Many of us face moments like this: moments where the right answer is boldness for Jesus, but the easy answer is to keep our heads down. What will people think? What will they do?

Here’s some great news: we’re never alone. We don’t have to be bold on our own. The Holy Spirit is with us every day, giving us the power to be bold and transformed. We can walk out our newness each day with His help.

You can start today. Boldness is now. The Holy Spirit is ready to walk with you.

SHARE YOUR FAITH No one is out of God's reach. If His mercy was offered to the crowd who murdered Jesus, it's available to everyone. What are you waiting for? Turn from your sins, plan to get baptized, and commit to telling others about God's redemptive love!

VERSE OF THE DAY: ROMANS 10:13 For Everyone who calls on the name of the LORD will be saved.

CALLING OUT FOR RESCUE Do you remember a moment—maybe dramatic, maybe quiet—when you realized you needed help? Not just a little assistance, but rescue?

Romans 10:13 gives us this promise: “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

These words were written by the apostle Paul to the people in Rome, explaining how anyone can begin a relationship with God. Just before this verse, Paul describes trusting in Jesus—believing in Him and calling out to Him. There are no prerequisites, no religious background, no good behavior, nothing else required. It is about turning to God and asking Him to save.

At its heart, this verse is about calling out for help—admitting a deep need, a need you cannot solve yourself. And it’s about trusting that God hears and responds.

This promise is for every person.

In God’s eyes, there are no insiders or outsiders, and no one is too far gone. There is a Rescuer available to all—and His name is Jesus.

Maybe you can look back and see a time in your life when you called out to God, and He answered. But so often, there is more to the story. God loves to use people to accomplish His will. Did someone share God’s hope with you, or encourage you? Did someone show you kindness or point the way forward?

There are so many who don’t yet know about this wonderful promise of God. They don’t know that there is a Rescuer, offering salvation and new life.

This message of hope is meant to be shared. You can be the one to share it. And it can be as simple as saying: There is someone who cares and is able to save you. This promise is real. And it is for you.

Who in your life might be one step away from calling out for help? Will you take a step of faith today and share the hope you’ve found in Jesus?

REFLECT How is God inviting you to be a part of someone else's story today?

SHARE YOUR FAITH Anyone and everyone who calls on Jesus can be saved. Take a moment to thank Him for the undeserved gift of eternal life! Time is short, life is fleeting, and the most important things you can do today is tell someone about Jesus.

VERSE OF THE DAY: 1 CORINTHIANS 3:7 It's not important who does the planting, or who does the watering. What's important is that God makes the seed grow.

THE CALL OF EVERY CHRISTIAN

In the book of 1 Corinthians, the apostle Paul uses metaphors that were a part of their culture to communicate essential truths. Paul relates the work of evangelism to a farmer's work in the field:

"So neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow." 1 Corinthians 3:7

Paul's message is clear: while every Christian is empowered with the task of evangelism, it is ultimately God—the Holy Spirit, who grows the seed of faith in an unbeliever's heart. This means others' response to the gospel is not on us as believers; our responsibility is to faithfully share the good news of eternal life.

But, if we're honest, many of us Christians keep our faith to ourselves. There are people who are ready and willing to hear and respond to the gospel message of Jesus Christ—the hope of eternal life. And God wants to use us. He wants to use you!

Today, right where you are—in your job, in your neighborhood, in your family, and in your friend group—everywhere you walk with others, God wants to bring the good news of Jesus Christ. And you're never alone in this call. God promises that His Spirit will be with you and will lead you, giving you the right words to say as you step out in faith (Matthew 28:20).

Consider what next step you can take to begin sharing Jesus with others. Prepare yourself to have conversations about Christ with your neighbors, coworkers, or friends. Ask God to give you courage, so that the good work He has started in you might also take root in others.

SHARE YOUR FAITH Your job is obedience. God's job is everything else. Today, right where you are-in your job, your family, your friend group, your neighborhood- God wants you to share His good news with others.

MAY 9 2026, SATURDAY Entry: 2:37pm, Fairview QC

VERSE OF THE DAY: JOHN 20:21 Again he said, "Peace be with you. As the Father has sent me, so I am sending you."

PEACE IN THE MIDST OF HARDSHIP Not long after Jesus’ resurrection, His disciples hid in a locked room, fearing that the same people who crucified Jesus would come and arrest them. It’s in the midst of their fearful circumstances that Jesus appears to them collectively, speaking words of peace over them.

But He doesn’t stop there.

He then tells His disciples that He is sending them out into the world. This means they are going to have to leave the safety of their locked room. But although their future is unknown, they are known by the One who holds the future. So wherever they go, and whatever they face, Jesus’ words will remain true: peace will be with them.

And Jesus continues to offer us this same peace.

We will all face hardship and difficulties. We all will go through seasons where we endure intense pain caused by struggling relationships, struggling economies, and struggling health crises.

But God’s peace isn’t based on our feelings or circumstances, which is why it’s something we can consistently experience.

God’s peace sometimes feels like a calmness in the midst of an anxious situation, or hope despite a discouraging diagnosis. It might look like unexplainable joy, or an unshakeable feeling that, regardless of what happens, God is still in control.

When our world rages, or the doctor shares something alarming, or the news reports are terrifying, God’s peace enables us to walk forward with confident assurance that the One who gives us peace goes with us. Jesus might not remove us from difficult situations, but He will always help us walk through them.

Outside pressures don’t have the power to take away God’s perfect peace that’s given to us through Jesus our Savior.

So take a few minutes today and thank Jesus for His peace that passes all understanding. Talk to Him about any concerns or worries you’re currently experiencing, and as you give them over to Him, envision Him saying to you, “peace be with you.”

BE ENCOURAGED Jesus might not remove you from difficult situations, but He will always help you walk through them.
