Some people spend their school days trying to stay out of detention. I apparently spent mine trying to earn a permanent seat.

It all started when I made the completely reasonable decision to drizzle myself in chocolate and announce that Mother Superior should eat me. Looking back... maybe that wasn't my finest moment.

Or maybe it was.

Next thing I knew I was standing in front of the chalkboard, trying my hardest to look innocent while Sister Tiffany stood there with that ruler and the kind of smile that tells you she's already decided your punishment.

The funny part?

I don't think I minded detention nearly as much as I was supposed to. By the end of the day, chocolate was everywhere, the classroom was a disaster, and somehow I managed to discover that even the strictest lessons can come with a little admiration... and maybe even a little love. Of course, Sister Tiffany insists the official lesson was about discipline.

I'm still convinced it was about devotion.

Either way... I have a strange feeling I'll be finding another excuse to misbehave before long.

Apparently, I have a new hobby.

It started innocently enough. Somebody gave me a box of popsicle sticks and suggested I make something creative. You know, maybe a little house. A picture frame. Something cute.

So naturally, I made a coffin.

Once you've built your first tiny wooden coffin, though, it's difficult to stop. Suddenly I'm buying glue by the bottle, finding popsicle sticks in places I definitely don't remember putting them, and wondering whether a handcrafted spirit board technically counts as home décor. For the record, Tiffany says it does not.

Then came the haunted house. I may have gotten slightly carried away with that one. But if you're going to spend hours gluing tiny pieces of wood together, you might as well build somewhere you'd actually want to live. Give me Gothic windows, creepy towers and something mysterious glowing upstairs. That's curb appeal.

I've learned something important from all of this: crafting is incredibly relaxing right up until you glue yourself to the furniture. And yes, before anyone asks, I still have plenty of popsicle sticks left.

That should probably concern everyone.

There are two kinds of people in this world: people who own cats, and people who understand that the cats actually own them. Tiffany and I learned this a long time ago.

You start innocently enough. You buy them a little bed. Then a scratching post. Then a cat tree. Then another cat tree because apparently the first one doesn't have the correct view of the living room. Before you know it, you're sitting on the floor because every comfortable piece of furniture in your house has been claimed by something weighing eleven pounds.

And somewhere along the way, you start picking up their habits.

Tiffany has developed an alarming appreciation for sunny windows. I've caught myself staring at absolutely nothing in the corner of a room. We've both discovered that knocking something off a table can be surprisingly satisfying.

I'm still refusing to eat dinner out of a little ceramic bowl with my name painted on it. Tiffany says I'm being difficult.

As for hairballs? I have one piece of professional advice: Keep your kitty trimmed. I'll let you decide exactly how you'd like to interpret that.

Now you'll have to excuse me. Tiffany found the catnip again, and judging by the noises coming from the living room, I should probably go supervise.

Most people beat the summer heat with a standard fan or a cold drink.

But if you know me at all, you know I’ve never been particularly fond of doing things the "standard" way. When the temperature spikes, I look for ways to turn the weather into a complete, full-body sensory experience.

My latest magazine feature, COLD FEET, is a personal peek into exactly how I like to play when the kitchen gets a little too warm.

It always starts with a tease. For the cover, I decided to swap out my usual style for a white crop top and denim shorts, kicking my black combat boots completely off to the side. Then came the real fun: letting rich, thick soft-serve ice cream melt right down my skin. Feeling that heavy, cold sweetness slowly lose its shape, sliding past my ankles, and squishing heavily under my bare feet? Absolute heaven. Leaning into a massive, melting floor mess like that is a tactile rush I think everyone should try at least once.

But the true climax of the shoot happened when we transitioned from sticky to sub-zero.

I filled a heavy glass bowl with crushed ice and freezing water, sitting on the counter peninsula while my bare feet sank into the deep freeze. The immediate, breathless shock of stepping out of sticky ice cream and straight into a sub-zero soak is intoxicating. I loved watching the ice cubes splay naturally between my bare toes, feeling the temperature change take over my entire body until I was shivering in the best way possible.

And then, my gorgeous blonde wife, Tiffany, stepped into the frame.

We talk a lot about luxury in the fashion world, but to me, true luxury isn't something you buy—it’s how someone makes you feel. Tiffany walked over, looked me dead in the eyes, and picked up that glass bowl. Right there on the kitchen floor, she slowly drank the very water I had just finished soaking my bare feet in. Watching her willingly surrender to that cold, used water as an act of absolute, unadulterated adoration? It drove me completely wild. That is the taste of true devotion.

I look forward to laundry day.

But I wanted to get completely honest with you about what was actually happening on the lawn that afternoon, because the physical reality of that moment was ten times more intense than what fits onto a printed page.

It was one of those thick, suffocating summer afternoons where the air feels heavy enough to wear. I had been out in my tall black leather combat boots for hours, completely locked inside that tight, suffocating dark leather. By the time I finally collapsed onto the grass and pulled the laces free, the heat had transformed into something entirely different.

Peeling those heavy boots off was instant relief, but sliding my socks off revealed a whole new level of sensory luxury. They were completely damp, fully saturated with the warm, heavy, concentrated musk of a long day’s work. Sitting there cross-legged, lifting that heavy, damp cotton sock up against the sun, I could feel the elastic bunching up in my hand, heavy with moisture.

When you bunch up a worn sock like that, the anticipation is a physical rush. I tilted my head back, looking straight up as that single, massive droplet began to slow-cook at the edge of the ribbed cotton. Watching it gather, capturing the bright summer light until it got too heavy to hold on, felt like slow motion.

And then it broke free. The taste is something most people are simply too timid to ever experience. It is this incredibly complex, exquisite explosion of pure, concentrated saltiness cutting right through the heat. The deep, heavy warmth of the musk hits your lips first, followed by that sharp, intense savory rush as you squeeze the fabric dry.
