stay grateful for the sun

this doesn’t automatically fix the issues with progress wrestling . and i do just mean progress currently because i don’t go to defy shows irl and don’t have personal experience to speak of where the issues are concerned. but i am hopeful that passing the company into the hands of wrestlers is going to bring improvements to the promotion over time, whereas the disconnect of having The Other Guys in charge meant that often progress was making decisions and behaving in ways that were very out of touch. i know personally ppl in industry both wrestlers and peripheral who have told me their experiences working at progress recently were awful, the audiences have been getting smaller and smaller and the prices have been going up. i have personally only been going to progress because it’s a reliable place to see cara noir - the stories have been inconsistent lacklustre dogshit for a year or more. i really hope that nikki & damo have the stuff required to evolve progress beyond its roots and make it thrive again. that said, progress also has debt issues, so who knows what growth can happen. i’m hopeful anyway!
