"I... I will save... Rose!"
A bright, warm light bloomed from behind Eveline, blinding Ethan and casting a searing heat over his skin - or what was pretending to be his skin, anyway. He staggered forward into it, into the burn, shielding his eyes with one arm but reaching out with the other - grabbing hold of reality in order to drag himself back and save his baby girl-
But a roiling black Fog suddenly rushed up to meet him, and the world left his grasp as he was enveloped in darkness.
Ethan awoke with a gasp, then a hacking cough, and he turned over onto his stomach to push himself onto his elbows as he coughed up thick, black bile into the dirt. He wiped the back of his hand over his lips and looked up.
He was on the floor of a forest - but not like the woods around the village. This was different.
Sitting up and looking down at himself, he saw the last of the blackness over his (apparently mold) flesh be absorbed back into him, the veins in his hands darkening before he looked normal colored again.
Ethan dropped his hands and staggered to his feet.
He felt frighteningly light, and a quick glance at himself confirmed his worries. All of the dozen weapons he'd had strapped haphazardly to his person were gone, leaving him with nothing but the clothes on his back.
Being unarmed... it was a horrible, vulnerable feeling. He'd need to fix that as soon as possible. He couldn't exactly fistfight Miranda to death.
But...
"What the fuck..?" He hissed bitterly to himself, because not only was all of his stuff gone, he had no idea where he even was! Was he still at the village? Had his body been dumped somewhere else after Mother Miranda literally ripped his heart right out of his chest?
... He shivered at the memory of how that had felt. And the fact that he'd survived that... or at the very least come back from the dead...
Again.
... No. He could have a crisis about not being human later - right now he needed to focus on if he was going to get to the ceremony site in time.
With a huff, Ethan trudged through the trees, hoping to whatever God might still exist that he wasn't far. He had to save Rose before that evil bitch stole her.
But after a bit of walking, he suddenly broke out of the trees and into a small clearing with a campfire, with three people - normal people, at that - sitting around it. There were more survivors from the village?
Ethan is now a survivor in the Fog! He's so done with all of this. Taken before he could save his baby...
He still has only eight fingers - The Entity didn't give him them back, whoops.
The upper half of his face is permanently obscured in shadow no matter how much light you shine on him or what angle you look at him at. The only feature visible through the shadow is that sometimes his eyes glow.
Due to his regenerative capabilities, he usually doesn't actually die when sacrificed or mori'd (unless he loses his head in said mori). Instead, The Entity puts him in a dormant state he cannot wake from until the end of the trial, where it can then consume his emotion along with the other survivors'.

Persistence
-> "No matter what happens to you, you press on. You have things to do, and nothing can stop you." || You do not need to Mend. However, once put in the Mending State and this perk activates, it goes on cooldown for 60 seconds. If put in the Mending State during this cooldown, you will still have to Mend.

Default - RE8 outfit
Prestige - bloodier, more torn up version of the RE8 outfit (with accurate rips and tears to the injuries he gets)
"Where's My Wife?" - RE7 outfit
"You Have Me" - Shadows of Rose outfit
"2nd Best Memory" - wedding suit from when he married Mia
Charms: The Entity allowed him four charm slots, so he can have all four of the Rosemary Flask charms on his belt.
