They come into their dark room and they both see a dark figure standing with his back to them against the window. Just like Mary Winchester saw through the door of the nursery. It’s practically an identical image.
Dean calls out, “HEY” and Sam struggles to turn on a light, and slowly the figure moves from out of the shadow at the window, into an even deeper shadow, where he disappears completely, before emerging into a beam of light, and he’s smiling, and very full emotionally (one of Jeffrey Dean Morgan’s signatures as an actor), and it’s John Winchester. Everyone just stands there staring at each other for a while. It feels like it goes on forever. Dad is smiling, with tears in his eyes.

When I'm feeling generous, I like to think that John is emotional seeing Dean here because just a few eps before, Sam told him Dean was dying. But then he, you know, opens his mouth.
I've (unwillingly) read a few posts about how Jensen didn't deserve to win the People's Sexiest TV Star poll (or more accurately, how a certain someone else should've won instead :/) because he isn't on a TV show that's currently airing. Look, I get that 'sexy' is subjective, and we all have different tastes, and we all have our favourites. This, however? Is a bullshit excuse. Not currently being on TV doesn't make you not a TV star any more than being between gigs as an accountant makes you not an accountant. Is Stephen King not an author because he's between publishing novels? Jensen is a star, and his most prevalent medium is television, ergo....
If you need to tell yourself that's the reason why *your* favourite didn't win, then I can only feel second-hand cringe for you.
Jensen Ackles is one sexy mo-fo, inside and out and deserves the main title, not just one category. Supporting evidence:

I don’t think that Jensen should have even been in this category because he wasn’t on a TV show in 2021, but I don’t make the rules. Congrats to Jensen, but this should have been Jared’s win.
And if Jensen had been disqualified for not being onscreen in 2021 - Jared still wouldn’t have won. Now what?

You know what I want? What I really want? I want the entire world to see him. I want every person in Hollywood to stand up and go “holy shit this guy!”.
