A Getaway || Quick
She shot him a glare when he suggested they see the bedroom first, because it was an incredibly crude comment that she hadn’t been expecting from him. Quinn pouted when he said he was joking, feeling a little foolish for believing him in the first place. Clapping her hands together, she grinned and thought for a second about where she’d show him first. “Wonderful!” She exclaimed, watching as he locked the door. She understood that it was just to be certain he was safe, but she still hoped that he felt at least a little safer being at her home than he did being in the city. “Follow me.” She instructed, motioning with her head to the kitchen. The tour went on like that for a few minutes, Quinn excitedly showing him every inch of the large house and giggling when he feigned excitement.
Once they reached her bedroom, she let out a shaky breath. It’d been a long time since she’d actually seen it, a few years or so, and she couldn’t help but feel a little nervous. She knew it hadn’t been touched since then, but it didn’t matter. It was the one piece of home she still had left, and she always feared something would happen to it. “And this..” Quinn started, clearing her throat as she delicately pushed the door open. “Is my room.” She smiled, backing up into it and keeping her eyes on him. She could see him trying to sneak a peak before he got in, and she grinned as she finally turned around, the uneasiness in her stomach fading when it was still the same. Making her way to her bed, she sat down at the edge, bringing her leg up to cross over her knee. “Would you like to have a seat?”
Puck smiled over at Quinn when he caught her glare before he started shaking his head only to straighten himself out when she started the 'tour' around the house. It really was kind of interesting, he was able to see pictures of her and her family - not that he mentioned it to her, he didn't want to make her upset - and was even able to see some of the furnishings straight out of what was probably some old novel or something. He noted the dust on some of the tables and stuff, but he could totally clean that off for her or something. It'd probably make her smile and Puck was pretty much all about that because her smile could light up a room. He was glad that being in her old house made her as happy as she was in itself though.
As they made their way up the stairs he noticed the change in her posture and he immediately turned his head to look at her, his eyebrow knotting up in confusion. It took a few seconds before it all connected up in his head that they were standing outside of what used to be her room. His face softened slightly and he stood back, letting her usher their way in and letting out a relieved sigh when she started smiling again. He was worried for a second there that it'd be just as bad as when Frannie passed on, he couldn't handler her so upset like that again. He moved in slowly, his eyes taking in every inch of the room before moving over to her bed and nodding as he slowly sat himself down beside her. "You really had it made, huh?" He asked with a soft grin before shaking his head, "Is this your first time back here?"
A Getaway || Quick
Lately, Quinn had been spending the majority of her time with Puck. It wasn’t often that she went a day without talking to him, and when she did, she always got irrationally worried that something terrible had happened. Which was ultimately why when she got a bad feeling about him not being around, she made her way to his apartment, frowning at what she saw. While she wanted to tell him that he should’ve listened to her all along, she couldn’t bring herself to do that. She knew he was probably going through some kind of inner turmoil because of the situation, and she didn’t want to make it any worse. Instead, she just vowed to be there for him, and make sure he stayed safe with her.
They easily made the trek to her family’s beach house, and it didn’t seem as though anyone had been following them or anything of the sort. Once they reached the house, she watched as he took his bags out of the trunk, waiting to gauge his reaction about the house. It really shouldn’t have mattered as much to her as it did, but she couldn’t help it. She wanted him to feel safe there, and like he could go there anytime he needed it. Sighing, she looked up at the house as he did, smiling softly. “Of course it’s nice on the inside.” Quinn said, tucking a loose piece of hair behind her ear. “I can give you a tour, if you’d like.” She grinned, motioning for him to follow her inside.
Puck continued to stare up at the house before turning his face to look at her, his grin fading to a soft smile when he noticed that she wore one similar to his. He shifted the bag he had on his shoulder before nodding his head slowly at her. Why not get a tour from someone who knew the house super well? "That'd be great," he said with a small nod before stepping back and motioning for her to step in front of him, even though he wouldn't really need to do that - she could just walk right through him if she really needed to. It wasn't like she was completely tangible at that moment and time, or so he thought. He didn't ask questions, just so long as he got to touch her every once in awhile.
"Lead the way, missy," he said as she smiled faded back into that similar grin as he allowed her to lead the way up the structure. He continued to scan his surroundings as they finally made their way up the steps and slid inside of the home. As they passed through the threshold he dropped his bags down at the front door, shrugging his shoulders as he shook the feeling off. "So, your room first?" He asked with a waggling of his eyebrow before chuckling slightly, signifying that being a joke. "Playin', babe. Show me around. Do your thing," he said with another nodding of his head as he closed the door behind them both and locked it. Couldn't really be too safe, especially after that last situation he'd found himself in.
A Getaway || Quick
After spending both Christmas and New Years Eve with Quinn, Puck thought he was in the clear. He hadn't been sent any mysterious packages or had his life threatened at his menial job and he'd even been able to start taking classes at a nearby community college. He thought he was going to be able to move on without being bogged down by his old life and by his old friends but he was very, very wrong. After a few weeks of peace and quiet he had someone come by and key the crap out of the hunk of junk car he'd bought only days before. They also managed to put the hunk of metal on blocks and jack his tires too. After having returned back to his apartment after filing a police report he found the place ransacked and the money he had stashed under his mattress was taken. He didn't trust banks... or cops really and it kind of aided in his slight demise.
So he had taken Quinn's advice from before. He was going to stay in her family's old home, beach home or something, he wasn't really sure. And she was going to stay there with him too. That was pretty much all he could've asked her for. Company. Anything where he got to hear her voice. After, what seemed like forever, they had eventually arrived on the front steps of her family's old home. He adjusted his bag on his shoulder and pulled along his other suitcase as he looked down at her, grinning as he did so. "So, you used to spend a lot of time here?" He looked up at the building quickly before turning his eyes to hers again. "It seems nice on the outside. Bet it's nice on the inside too."

It's totally cool, Quinn. I dig it.

I don’t know, S. Maybe we should ask them? It’s only around him, though. He’s still the only human that can see me.

Christmas Parade || Quick
Quinn shook her head ‘no,’ her bottom lip securely between her teeth as she watched him intently. “I hope so.” She said, shrugging her shoulder. “I’ve been able to feel more and more the longer time we spend together.” She told him, hoping he was at least a little flattered that by some stroke of luck made by the universe, they were supposed to meet like this. “At first it was little things.. like butterflies in my stomach. And then it was literal, like when you touched my hand.” She realized that what she was saying might not have been making sense to him, given the fact that his eyebrows were furrowed in confusion, but it might have just been the fact that the entire thing wasn’t normal. “I think it’ll continue that way until I can feel everything. Every inch of my body, you know?” She asked.
He opened his apartment door for her, and she smiled as she brushed past him, resisting the urge to curtsy in response. “I was hoping that maybe you and I could watch the parade from indoors.” Quinn suggested, her hand brushing up against his as they walked. Tucking a piece of hair behind her ear, she smiled as he looked at her. “That way it’ll be easier for us to actually talk. You know.. without other people thinking you’re insane..” Raking her teeth over her bottom lip, she shrugged. “I know a place we can go. You can see every bit of the parade. And.. we can be alone.” She trailed off, looking down at her feet.
Puck couldn't help but grin at the fact that he alone was the one to make Quinn feel things again, that he made her more human. Not that she'd lost any aspect of that other than the not being able to feel things thing. You'd think that a ghost wouldn't care for humanity, that they wouldn't bother to even try to interact with someone who was down on their luck like Puck had been. But Quinn was different. And Puck really liked that about her. "Butterflies...?" He asked before reaching up to scratch his head. That meant she definitely liked him. He bit back another grin before nodding his head at her. "I'm hoping it gets to that point, too. You deserve to have that life, y'know, the one that you missed out on."
"Oh, that makes sense," he said with a grin in response to her idea of them watching the parade inside. He wasn't one to really care about what others thought but he was sure that talking to himself in public would've been reason for him to be put in a looney bin or something. He walked with her over to the elevator and slipped inside, still holding her hand as he reached with his other hand to press for the ground floor. "So, you normally go to the parade, then? Like every year?" He asked with genuine curiosity as they touched down and walked out and into the apartment building's empty lobby.
