collecting spy bugs for sandrone and like. this might be the worst collectible actually. worse then collei's mushrooms or cyno's scarabs, bc fontaine only has LIMITED 5 STARS with passive for marking them on mimi map and sumeru has 4 star i'm pretty sure. and the 5 stars with that passive are not the 5 stars who want the bug!! and its a spy bug so they are often hidden in nooks and crannies where its really fucking hard to spot them!!! WHO DESIGNED THIS, I JUST WANT TO TALK
not officially ofc, its just a joke i make bc events' writing lately noticeably dips in quality, there is basically no plot, and characters are reduced to flanderized shallow versions of themselves
on one hand, it can be a plus bc it means no major plot or character moments will happen in temp events, so ppl who miss events then have no idea wtf is going on, like if u didn't play at version 1 and missed scara event and then at inazuma you're like who the fuck is this purple goblin??? (me, it happened to me)
but also too much of bad cliche writing can hurt characters portrayal long term, like kaveh and alhaitham start with really strong characterization and conflict referencing pride and prejudice, but then for like 2 years we only got shallow caricatures of them in the events, being actually missis and mister bennett instead of lizzy and darcy, with a lazy aloof husband and a shrill emotional wife. now in the latest sumeru AQ the good writing for kavetham came back from the war and really expanded on their relationship, but for me personally it was really tainted by all the annoying bullshit writing before that

one thing i will say about citlali, is that i understand that the events now are written by interns or whatever, so everyone's characterization is whack, but citlali didn't have a lot of characterization to begin with due to Natlan Problems, and now her being reduced to annoying jealous tsundere is just absolute cringe
and like, i dont even hold it against citlali characrter wise, bc again, i understand that events now are written by interns who just look at wiki bullet points. but why would u make citlali a jealous wife of a traveler??? who is she? she wasn't there for 6 years, traveler didn't read her romantic poetry, didn't hold her hand while sending off lanterns, they didn't save each other several times. like my point is not just that traveler is married to xiao, is that if a character didn't earn the connection, its cringe to make them so unreasonably jealous?
she was kinda cringily into traveler in natlan AQ, it was shameful, but kinda whatever for me, like i'm always pro whatever ppl like, if some ppl loved it, then i don't care, natlan was bad, i'm clicking thru it anyway. but no one else before was jealous of traveler, not even a petty bitch like scara, and citlali being pissy when sandrone literally says "i told traveler not to come, but they were concerned about my health", and citlali goes "Ugh, so they don't care about my mental health?" and then acts all pissy, like bitch who do u think u are. i get that the joke is that its misunderstanding bc it will be revealed that sandrone is actually married to bina, but it doesn't matter anyway. citlali is nobody to me. i don't mind hoyo making traveler's waifus if they are meaningfully connected, but jealous for no reason is too much, its not funny actually, its just annoying

actually about latest hsr, i think blade's story could have been really good, but the problem is that is relies on me caring about blade, which i don't bc i don't know him, and me caring about his relationship to other stellaron hunters, specifically silver wolf, bc she's the one present. and when that story played out, i was like mmm, it would hit so hard if i gave a fuck about them
and like it would be sooo easy to fix, there were several archon quests in this region already where both blade and silver wolf were present, they could have shown us them interacting in any number of ways. but they didn't do that, and then they were like you need to care about silver wolf being sad that blade dies, and its like ok why tho??
take nod krai for example, we didn't meet bina or sandrone before, which is a disadvantage, bc we met silver wolf and blade way before in hsr, but during first acts of nod krai we see their interactions, their chemistry, come to understand their relationship, how much they care about each other even if they can't articulate it out loud. now imagine if we had none of it, all we knew is that both of them are harbingers, and right before the final battle columbina just proclaimed out loud that she cares about sandrone and doesn't want her to die. it'd be so much worse! its completely unearned.

I would go with lauma to any of these, to a museum, party, wedding, my own wedding with her, etc, but if I have to choose, i'd say museum, esp like nod krai museum, she was shown to deeply care about history and knowledge, and i'd love to listen to her on nod krai exhibitions. but basically any meseum would do
i don't mind going with both of nefer and jahoda to wedding or a party, like tbh i'd prefer to go to a party with nefer bc rawr, but jahoda has such an anxiety disorder, she would somehow find a way to stress herself out in a wedding. idk how, but i don't want that. so i'd take her to a party
and nefer is a great plus one to bring to a wedding, classy, smart, hot, manipulative so she can play any yikes relatives, and we can have fun gossiping with a glass of wine
