見ての通り超大作である。

和歌山県岩出市「そうへぃちゃん」と、橋本市「はしぼう」のツーショット。

本日は岡山県里庄町まこもたけキャラクター「まこりん」について。

里庄中学校２年生が技術家庭科の授業でまこもたけ栽培体験を行い、考えてくれたデザインをもとに生まれた。 里庄町の特産品「まこもたけ」の妖精。 里庄町の木「つばき」の葉っぱを食べすぎて、手と足がつばきの葉っぱと花になった。

本日は東京都ケーブルテレビ品川公式マスコットキャラクター「シナガワン」について。

品川生まれ品川育ちの犬の男の子。 いろんなテレビ番組があることを、もっともっと知ってもらうために、日々活動中。 とってもやさしい性格で癒し系といわれる。

SMALL BUILDINGS AND OTHER INFORMAL STRUCTURES UNDERNEATH TOKYO RAILWAY VIADUCTS.

Unfinished building in Slavutych, Oblast Kiev, Ukraine. A new built city for the workers of the nuclear power plant Chernobyl. The entire town was built between 1986 and 1988 as an equivalent for the evacuated workers town Pripyat.

The Funassyi Train, a special livery train or “wrapping train” that part of the 5th Anniversary Project, began its limited period run on July 1st. It will run all summer until September 30th. It is operated by Shin Keisei, a private line that operates in Chiba. The Funassyi Train will be running daily between Matsudo and Chiba Central stations. The schedule varies by day, so be sure to check it beforehand if you are on a tight schedule. The schedule for the upcoming day is announced by the official Twitter account every day.  

Honorary Driver (or…Conductor? Station Master?) Funassyi is not part of the regular staff rotation, but hey, you never know when he might show up…

Be sure to follow basic train photography safety and etiquette rules when taking pictures. They are detailed here, but they are pretty obvious things like stay within the yellow safety strips, don’t use selfie sticks if they get in the way of other people, don’t use flash when taking a photo of any train in operation, follow any instructions by station or train staff, and so on. Don’t give Funassyi fans a bad reputation!

There is also a stamp rally; collect 1, 2 or 3 stamps and you can enter for a prize drawing.
