“See, my wife is free being my wife because she knows she can’t break my heart. She’s not under pressure. Everyday she wakes up to be loved by me. She’s not under pressure; I don’t have one expectation on my wife. And a psychologist, they want to crucify you for thinking that way. ‘Well, marriage is a lot of work, a marriage is fifty, fifty.’ You be careful with what you believe about a marriage. A marriage is, ‘I love you.’ That means you’ll lay down your life for them, period. Yeah? And take no record of the wrongs done. You won’t go to bed with unresolved conflict and failed expectation because you didn’t wake up with any. Yeah? So, you always make peace and blessed are the peacemakers because they’re the sons of God—not those that sing they are sons; those that live sons. That’s just so freeing to me.”
