a little karnorla snippet
Orla was getting ready to go to bed for the night when she noticed her phone was ringing.
It was Karna.
Her face instantly lit up and she picked up the phone.
"Hello, Karna!" She answered with the excitement of a Pokémon who had been waiting for it's trainer to come home.
"Hey, Oreo..." Karna responded, sounding... nervous? It was hard to tell.
"Karna, is everything okay?" Orla asked.
"Well... I got myself.. a little stuck... if only there were a gorgeous, strong mechanic around who could help me." Karna answered, in her pitiful attempt at flirting, which she clearly wasn't good at.
"..."
Somehow, it worked.
The next morning
Friede walked into the furnace room, "Orla, do you think you coul- Huh, she's not here."
He left to go check her room, only to find her not there either.
"Mollie, have you seen Orla at all?"
"Is she not on the airship?"
"I've been searching around all morning and I can't find her anywhere."
"That's.. odd and a little concerning."
"Agreed, I'm gonna give her a call."
Friede stepped back into the hallway, dialing Orla's number.
Orla stirred awake at the sound of her phone ringing.
Karna grumbled, "Who's calling you..?"
Orla picked up her phone, "Ah, it's just Friede. Gimme a second."
Orla got up and walked into the hallway to take the phone call.
"Hello?"
"Where are you?"
"I'm at Karna's place."
"...Isn't she all the way in Galar?"
"She sure is."
"Then how on Earth did you get there?"
"Metagross."
"Of course." Friede chuckled. "Nothings stopping you from getting to that woman, huh?"
"Oh, absolutely not." Orla laughed.
"I hate to ask but... you gonna be long? We kinda.. need you to fix something." Friede asked sheepishly.
"Oh, of course you do." Orla chuckled.
"Sorry..." Friede apologised.
"If I minded, I would have left the airship a long time ago. I take pride in my work, Friede." Orla reminded him.
"Ah, so it's a case of 'if I don't take care of the Brave Asagi, no one else will'".
"Absolutely not, especially not to my standards."
Karna walked out of her bedroom, wearing a baggy sweater and sweatpants, she hugged Orla from behind. "Gonna make some pancakes, I would really love it if you could stay for breakfast." She kissed her cheek before moving to the kitchen.
Orla blushed before speaking into her phone again, "I'll be back after breakfast."
Friede chuckled, "I figured as much."
Orla glanced in the direction Karna went, "Or maybe a little after..." She smirked, hanging up.
Friede shook his head, "Can't be helped." Then he smiled, "Happy for her."
