It is that season again. I see the leaves changing colors. The air is wet and cold in the early mornings. The crows have gathered into their nations– they flock together in huge numbers. We can see, in various ways, that we are entering into the next phase of the year. We are entering the rainy season here. Buuut, the rainy season here is reeeaaally long. This year, I will make the most of it.…

When the “two sticks” (tranquility and insight) are “rubbed together” (perfected) they bring forth a fire that burns both away. That fire can not be called purely conceptual, nor can it be called purely nonconceptual– it is not both, not neither. The truth is beyond beyond. Beyond words. Beyond thoughts. There is no truth [it won’t be captured in words or thoughts]. So we Gno Truth.

Sustained bliss of compassionate clarity.

At first, it’s like a flickering little candle flame. Over time, as the mindfulness and vigilance muscles are strengthened, the flame becomes more sustainable. As we are able to see more and more of the yummy fruits of this practice, we gain more and more confidence in it.

Every so often, I’ll be reading some sacred text and I’ll come across some description of some totally impossible vision. As a child, I accepted these as fact. As a teenager, I wrote these weird stories off as either lies or delusional hallucinations.
