it was sooo so good but definitely not for everyone the supernatural horror was the least horrifying thing about the story ☹️ the things women have had to go through since the beginning of time and still do are genuinely incomprehensible and i can't believe it's a middle aged man making me aware of another aspect of it in such an emotional, haunting way 😭😭😭

that friend was also a fan of dteam and i had hints but only truly found out when one night we were drinking and somehow got talking about fanfic and i told her i wrote fanfic and she said “wattpad or ao3?” and it genuinely shocked me to my core 😭 turns out she saw me checking my email one time and saw an email from ao3 and didn’t say anything 😭😭😭 she kept that one up her sleeve for that moment. we watched squid craft together 😔❤️ had 2 povs going LOL

i watched the first season of aot in like 2015 and then when i went to university one of my roommates and i got talking about it and she loves the show so we started watching it together. i moved home before we could finish it, but a couple weeks ago i visited that city and hung out with her and she gave me her crunchyroll login to finally finish it 😭😭 it’s been like 3 years now since we started it together so i restarted it and binged it all in a few days LOL

afterwards i watched the first ep of a few different anime and i just can’t get into them 💔 maybe it’s because aot was the first one i watched and also having watched it so long ago it was kinda nostalgic, but i feel like it’s just peak idk. like specifically the style. or maybe i didn’t let it digest enough before starting a new one LOL

yeah that felt very silly to me too, like believe it or not my interest was in dteam, not inner-fandom drama and snark 😭 comparing very different things in order to imply that you shouldn’t and don’t have a right to be interested in this specific thing if you weren’t interested in her everyday posts or interpersonal drama, and for what? i’m not trying to convince anyone to take what i say as gospel, you are free to question what you hear and i actually think it’s super important not to take everything you see online at face value
