I certainly don’t think of Jimbert the same way I do McLennon (where, whether or not there was a physically sexual relationship, there was clearly a psychosexual dynamic that shaped them in ways we’re still figuring out how to talk about). No disrespect to the shippers, but to me, Jimbert is more like a manifestation of the telepathy I think they shared between 1973 and 1977. (You know why it broke after that, so no need to revisit it here.) I think that this supernatural connection between them was real and deserves a name, and Jimbert’s as good as I’ve got.
