Why do we hate ourselves?
I like to watch the YouTube show Maybe I'm crazy and this particular episode had Cuttino Mobley on. He made a point about LeBron James and his investment in himself. LeBron James invests over $1.75 million dollars into his health and conditioning. Let me repeat that, he spends over $1.75 MILLION PER YEAR ON HIS BODY!!!
This got me to thinking about myself. I said, "self, when was the last time you invested money into yourself?" I couldn't think of a time that I took *my money* and put it towards anything other than books. Maybe a class... nope, just books and tools. But then I began to ask my closes friends about their personal investment. I found that we suck at investing in ourselves. No classes, no coaches, no tools, nothing.
Now we can give ourselves a phantom pat on the back for splurging $10-75 on gym memberships that we won't use or hitting the barber/beauty shop for a nice hairdo or the mall for some cool threads, but is that investing in ourselves? I want to define investing: the act of expending capital for the growth and development of the object at hand. A.K.A input = greater output. So this is a challenge to you: take 10 minutes to research a conference that you will pay money for out of your OWN pocket. Then go! Tell me the results when you get back.
6 Steps to Creating a Killer Offer
There are tons of offers to promote, but few will ever have the power and uniqueness needed to put a lot of money in your pocket. Creating your own killer offer is the way countless people have managed to build lists, generate revenue, and grow their business. It may seem like a daunting task at first. It was a big step for me too but I’ve created a number of successful offers myself.
This is how I do it:
Know the Target Market
Your target market is the first thing you need to consider. A killer offer is designed to appeal directly to a specific group of people. You’ll need to offer something useful—something they’ll want to use or learn from. The key to a successful offer is simply creating something your target market is hungry for.
You can discover what this is by doing a bit of research. Try to find a relevant message board and look at the questions being asked. Investigate offers from other people, keeping an eye on what they’re offering and the way their offer is presented. This research phase will often give you all the answers you need….continue reading
“Some people live in cages with bars built from their own fears and doubts. Some people live in cages with bars built from other people’s fears and doubts; their parents, their friends, their brothers and sisters, their families. Some people live in cages with bars built from the choices others made for them, the circumstances other people imposed upon them. And some people break free.”

Stay afraid but do it anyway. What’s important is the action. You don’t have to wait to be confident. Just do it and eventually the confidence will follow.
