i've got a packet of smokes with a warning text about sudden heart attacks on it and the corresponding pic is of a young-ish guy who's supposed to look like he died in his sleep. considering that's an objectively desirable way to go it's prob hard to find a suitably off putting image to go with the warning, sure, but it didnt have to be a handsome model guy lying supine in his bed, covers slipping down his naked chest, eyes closed with a serene expression on his face. like you really don't have to be suicidal to look at that and go 'hm, ok. jealous'. whatever happened to close ups of necrotic tissue and decaying teeth? depressed teens will be holding these smokes, let's be a little more responsible and bring back gaping tracheotomy hole
