I rarely wore the first two and I had had them for years. The last coat I got on super sale during Black Friday last year and ended up really wishing I had a longer coat to cover my butt. I probably could’ve gotten more for that one considering it was in near perfect condition but I was motivated to get rid of it to make room in my closet. Also, many people look to buy second hand coats to fit their budget and with winter well upon us I was happy to see such a warm coat get a second life so quickly.

The biggest pain about listing for me is pulling out my light set. I purchased something similar to this from Amazon and while it gave off great lighting for photos, its a pain in the ass to set up and tear down for just a piece here and there. Hence the death pile.

I had heard several people raving about ring lights and how easy they were to set up and with the help of a good photo editing app you could also get great shots. So I went and purchased this one. I’ll probably resell the other set once I figure out how to use the ring light properly.

Anyway, back to this weekend. My ring light has a bunch of dials and settings that I need to learn so I decided to set up all my lights and tried playing around with different set ups to see which I liked best. I use my dining room table for flat lays because the wood looks really nice in photos. This is a peek at what my dining room looked like for about 3 days.

If I am able to locate a stock photo of my item I will just stick with a flat lay and add the professional pictures to my listing bc it’s much easier than dressing my mannequin/dress form.

This new with tags (NWT) Lulus dress retails for about $90 and I got it for $2. I listed it at $60 to start off. I like to have room to drop the price a bit and negotiate so I always list higher than what I’d like to get for an item. Its a pretty basic navy dress and I think it might be from their bridesmaids collection. I’ll probably have to wait a bit to get any interest in it but it’s my first Lulus piece and I am told it’s a brand that moves well. So we will see.
