Please remember that almost everyone around you is traumatized. I didn’t understand this when I was younger. I wondered why people acted so strangely and irrationally. Maybe all children wonder this. post metoo post amber heard and there are posts going around on this site by “feminist” bloggers about how “believe survivors” is a dumb phrase that oversimplifies the Complex issues about how false allegations happen all the time… no they don’t. they literally do not we have countless statistics to back this. and you know why they don’t? bc if you tell someone you have been sexually assaulted they view you as a Victim forever. the people whose lives are most ruined by SA allegations as a rule are the people who come forward

the thing is i think tumblr just likes to squash the nuance out of difficult topics bc yes it is a common abuse tactic to use DARVO to obscure who is the victim and who is the perpetrator. cis men love to do this, esp bc cis men who claim to be abuse victims generally get more sympathy than women or gender minorities who do. but i don’t think that translates into “take any abuse or SA allegation with a grain of salt”

why do so many freaks go right to “there should be exams or tests before you have kids” when the real solution is better social services, robust infant and child development education that is accessible both financially and schedule/distance accommodating, and resources throughout any stage of a child’s life. genuine question like did you think about any social development before going straight to eugenics
