Summary:

Catra’s years with the Grayskulls feel like fate trying to make up for her first few years of trauma until she’s sent back to her mom and loses everything. She does what she always does to survive: finds someone who might be able to care about her and latches on. Catra might not be the love of Glimmer’s life, but Glimmer isn’t hers either and Catra is a surprisingly good girlfriend. Glimmer has a reunion waiting for her when they go to college, but depending the direction it goes in, the fact she has a girlfriend might not even matter. What none of them know is that a reunion is waiting for Catra there, too, and while Adora is still ready to hunt down Catra’s social worker to give her a piece of her mind, she can open her arms to hold Catra now instead of only being able to express her love for her by throwing a punch.(Or, how the phrase “let’s piss off our moms” leads Catra back to the love of her life – if only she would tell her that part)

Set Post-Canon

Glimmer, having extremely painful cramps at dinner, realises that she's started her period. Bow does what he can to help her feel better.

Some hurt/comfort, some fluff, and a lot of Glimbow.

My way of coping with SPoP being taken off of Netflix because for the last 5 years, it's been my Pride Month tradition to rewatch the show, and now I can't.

By the time Adora's next to her, the surge has passed. It leaves Glimmer panting, and she wants Bow's arms around her again, even as she wants to ride all this out alone. She's strong and brave, and she hates seeing the worry on her friend's faces.

Even Adora is worried, but it's more than that. Guilt twists her face.

It's not Adora's fault Glimmer got kidnapped, tortured, and cursed. Glimmer had dropped her surveillance of Scorpia, too focused on personal matters. Adora had come to her rescue.

Glimmer can't think of what to say to ease her friend's mind because those same thoughts echo in Glimmer's brain – that she got Bow kidnapped, Adora tortured, and Entrapta killed. She knows it's wrong. It's still a thought she has.

If you don’t say something, you’ll both be in this holding pattern forever.” Glimmer rolled her eyes. “This feels tremendously hypocritical. How long did it take for you and Catra to get your shit together?” “That was when I was young and foolish.” “And now, a mere month later, you’re older and wiser?” “Exactly.” Adora hip-checked her. “Bow is so ready to love you as soon as you give him the go-ahead. And I know you want that too and are just being a dumbass about it.” “Wow, so I’m a ‘fucking idiot’ and a ‘dumbass’ and all before 9 am. Screw you.” Glimmer gave Adora the finger, though she wasn’t actually mad about it.
