…Suicune? Through the last bit of terrible storm she could just pick up the familiar voice and the almost mythical vibe sensed through her reaching psychic field. 

“ɨ ƈǟռ ռօᏆ!” L U G I A called out. The dragoness struggled even in her winds. The battles worn from others exhausted her. The willpower to stop her own typhoon was at least present after the rage that beckoned to herald the continent’s doom in a great hurricane. 

     Could the Northern Wind himself not survive in her storm? 

“ɨᏆ ƈǟʍɛ ʄʀօʍ Ꮖɦɛ ɛƈʟɨքֆɛ ǟռɖ ռօա ɨᏆ ɖɨɛֆ ǟֆ ɨ’ʍ աɛǟʀɨռɢ օʊᏆ! քʟɛǟֆɛ! ɦɛʟք օᏆɦɛʀֆ աɨᏆɦɨռ ʀɛǟƈɦ օʄ ʍʏ քօաɛʀ!”

Have you regained your senses, Great Guardian?! 

But now there was a bigger problem, for it appeared that Lugia lost most if not all control of her power. Was there no way to tame the sea now that the heavens and waters were spiraling out of control? 

〈 But I cannot leave you to fight this alone . . .  〉

A brave declaration on the North Wind’s part, but there was no way that even a Child of Ho-Oh could stand up to a true deity’s power. The winds were against him, and he had to pull back or he too would be sucked into the vortex.

〈 I--- am sorry. I cannot----! I WILL SUMMON MY BROTHER! 〉

He leapt away from the scene, just in time as the very edge of the cliff gave way as soon as he left. Landing on safer ground, the North Wind wasted no time to call on his Brother, competing with the screams of the winds with his own powerful howl.

Now he must go rescue the victims. That was all he can do.

It all happened in a single moment. The Pokemon in the area stopped in their tracks to gaze into the sky, sensing something would happen. Suicune felt it too - the subtle shift in the air currents, the vibrations of a disturbance coming from down below. Nature was out of balance, but why? Was a human responsible? Could it be an angered deity? 

While reflecting on the possible source, the downpour came out of nowhere, threatening to drown the forest Pokemon that could not escape in time. The North Wind swept in to recover as many victims as he could carry and take them to higher ground to ensure their safety. After surveying the surrounding area to check for any more helpless Pokemon, Suicune howled, calling on the help of his Brothers to rescue Pokemon that may have been caught up in the storm. For now he would need to find its source, which probably lied in the center of the Whirl Islands.

If not for stranded Pokemon that needed rescuing along the journey, Suicune would have arrived at his destination much quicker. But such things couldn’t be helped. It was one of his missions to protect Mother’s children after all. Maneuvering along the rocky shores and turbulent waves, the North Wind finally found a cliff that he could make use of to address the Guardian of the Seas.

Hearing himself raise his voice somewhat surprised Suicune, for he rarely communicated with others above a calm tone. But it was imperative that he could reach Lugia, and the loud winds would surely make their exchange difficult. Besides, Suicune was also in danger of being blown off the cliff as well, so he needed to hurry.
