It's his birthday, he'll sleep if he wants to || Amos & Open
June 24, 1978 Location - âThe Bachelor Padâ
Warm smiles, good moods all around, and the promise of cake and ice cream kept Amos from feeling overwhelmed by the amount of people in his home. He was using the birthday party as a goodbye to the flat (having placed an offer on a small cottage) and an apology to everyone he had cut out of his life over the last year or so.
He had invitations sent out to members of the Order of the Phoenix and several close friends and family members, knowing that everyone could use a bit of a distraction while the attack on Diagon Alley was still on everyoneâs minds.
âHey, Iâm glad you could make it,â Amos beamed. âI figured the little tykeâs birthday was the best time for showing him off. Itâs just too bad he decided to take a nap about twenty minutes before it started.â
Arthur had been delighted when he'd gotten the invitation from Amos. It had been nice to speak with the younger man again, despite the circumstances, and he was eager to get back in touch with the young man. He'd been upset neither Molly not the boys could attend but he was certain his motley crew would have been a tad much for the little bachelor pad he now laid eyes on as the door opened.
The red haired wizard smiled brightly and ruffled his hair with the hand not currently wrapped around an enormous present, smartly wrapped and decorated with a bow. Molly's handiwork; Arthur was rubbish at gift wrapping, even after all this time and all the children he'd shopped for. "That's how it always works, in'it? At any rate I'm glad to be here. Molly and the boys wish him, and you, well. This is from us all." With that said he gestured with the gift and stepped inside, juggling it so he could slither first one arm and then the other out of his long coat. "Where'd you like this, hm?"
