Teaser for Season 3 (Part 2)
Superficial analysis
The image below seems to carry the most weight in my opinion.Various names and different groups.
Tyler in the center, Capri and Fester on the wings, and Santiago at the base.
Once again, desserts, but these three specifically have deadly surprises. I found it interesting that Santigado is among them; perhaps it has to do with all three having problems with the law? Because they committed crimes or are fugitives? The two jellies on opposite sides could indicate a scale that determines who is innocent or guilty.
Tyler's initials intrigued everyone, what do they really mean? Some guessed it might stand for "Outcast," others that it's the initial of "Ouroboros," the snake biting its own tail, which could be an analogy to being trapped in a cycle. However, a post on Reddit opened my eyes.
When the trailer came out, the actor Moosa posted this exact image on his Instagram story with an emoji and the letter O.
(Link to the post in the photo.)
At the time I thought it was actually number 0, and that it was some kind of countdown, and that other actors would continue, since Moosa is hardly active, I imagined that was the case.
However, the idea that not only the acronym, but spiders themselves, have some connection to Eugene makes everything much more interesting. Throughout the series, spiders are referenced: the iconic spiderweb in Enid and Wednesday's bedroom window, the piñata surprise at Wednesday's birthday party, Eugene's pet tarantula that was revived by Pugsley, and many others.
Besides the spiders being inside the gelatin, which could reference the inner creature of each individual, it could also be another clue about how they will be used by the only one who can manipulate them. It seems that each season will bring the spotlight to some insect, or in this case arachnid, that will have an important role: In the first season, the bees defend Wednesday; in the second, the bees provide support to win the game, and the moths function as perfect stalkers to locate the antagonist. Now, in the new season, they may continue to do this spy work. Is Eugene's tarantula now immortal because it was revived by a spark like Thing or Isaac?
I can only think of various possibilities; I hope they make good use of Eugene's powers. This boy could become dangerous and very useful to Weds' plans.
Now, Capri and Festar being the bases that separate Tyler from Santiago and O, which could mean Ouroboros, must actually have to do with an internal conflict, new influences, and breaking cycles.
Now, these three new names and once again the letter B. That fancy lobster indicates an expensive dish, and that scorpion decoration might suggest that these characters are venomous or of dubious character. Apparently, the younger actors will play the dynamic of older brother and younger sister, both Hydes. I haven't seen anyone mention this older actor; perhaps he's the master of the two? Which would be interesting. I wondered when I saw this younger actress; she'll probably be in the same age range as the younger characters and has already had her Hyde unlocked?
Regarding the letter B and my suspicion about the glass behind the name of Tabitha's dessert, it gives that cult-like feeling, if we're talking about a camp. In the second Addams Family movie, the children are taken to a privileged camp that had this toxic positivity vibe; will we follow the same path?
Now, these bottles of liquor, a perfect accompaniment to digest the food! I really like the theory that this Balthazar is connected to Tyler, that he's his grandfather: Balthazar Night.
However, I'm a bit skeptical about this possibility because of the casting of two other actors who are supposedly going to play younger Hester and Balthazar, so it might actually be Wednesday's grandfather, whom we haven't seen yet. We don't know if they divorced or if he died.
This surprise character/actor is an enigma, but being next to Balthazar could indicate that they are related. I hope it's one of the actors from the old movies; that would be iconic!
Ophelia! Our beloved missing girl who, in reality, didn't disappear. Her name being on a cake that strongly resembles a wedding is very interesting. I saw some people commenting on some Charles Addams comic strips where Ophelia was proposed to and didn't seem happy about it. The bleeding cake symbolizes her pain, and an open wound, right next to it we can see dragon fruit, which has several meanings such as: transformation, protection, strength, or about the inside and outside of the fruit, like "don't judge a book by its cover".
This final feast concludes with yet another reference to the comic strips; there must be many bold analyses of the symbolism, but this was my small contribution.
I hope it's as good as they're promising! What are your guesses?
