The Official âLog Offâ Protest F.A.Q!Â
The âLog Offâ protest is in response to the recent NSFW ban announced by Tumblr. The ban flags all content the filtering system detects as NSFW, reducing visibility to the community. The system has proven time and time again that is inefficient, oftentimes flagging SFW material as NSFW.Â
This SFW material includes art, memes and so on. This ban directly hurts the community and will not solve the actual problems at hand due to the poor flagging system. Because of this, the entire community will suffer. Â
So to respond, I propose that every user on Tumblr logs off of Tumblr for 24 hours on December 17th at 12 am EST.Â

FYI, this applies to talc & talc-based powders / body products in generalâ J&J knew about this for decades because talc & asbestos occur together naturally (the minerals literally grow together in nature, have similar compositions, and are / were mined together), and theyâre difficult to cleanly filter out from each other.
Itâs old knowledge that, unless youâre involved in mining, mineralogy, or occupational health & safety, has been deliberately buried from both the publicâs and regulatorsâ knowledge.

âŚBut I cannot overstate that peopleâs best option right now is to look for products in general that do not contain talc at all, regardless of the manufacturer, and to be vigilant in seeking appropriate healthcare (and/or legal action if required) if symptoms arise.
This goes for body use (diaper powder, chafing powderâ this is where the cases of ovarian cancer are coming from), for any use where powder may be inhaled (hair, face), or will have prolonged exposure to mucus membranes (eye makeup, bath bombs, etc.).
J&J are not the only ones who have covered this data up, and companies that arenât sued will absolutely continue to do so. Be safe & be vigilant.

I remember when I first started refusing to donate to those red buckets it was in front of a Hobby Lobby I was going to with my mom and eldest sister. They knew I had cash on me and they donated but I simply walked past without looking at the santas. They asked me why I didnât donate and I told them basically that theyâre anti LGBT+ and refused to give my money to them (also I didnât want to be in that hobby lobby for obvious reasons too but didnât tell them that), my family gave me the meanest looks because âbut they do good things, you canât let your prejudice get in the way of that!â
