when discussing sasuke's family, mainly fugaku, it's important to always keep in mind that their sociopolitical circumstances shaped the way they interacted. you can't talk about fugaku using itachi as a mole without mentioning the uchiha's oppression. it's not something a child should endure, it's definitely not something you should do to your own child, and while it does make him a worse father you cannot turn a blind eye to the circumstances that pushed him to do that. in the uchihas' case, the dysfunction is born from the oppression they face and the stances each took on it, so we can't simply say "fugaku/mikoto are bad parents for using their son for politics" when the politics in question is pushing against the oppression their clan faces as a whole. again, not parents of the year for sure, but it's reductive to not keep present the core reason of their actions
