Does anyone have any tips on how to get out of an art funk? I don’t like anything I make and everything I animate is just wonky and the movements look so bad, it’s like all the skills that I’ve learned don’t exist. I need to get out of this funk it’s been like 5 days and while I have drawn I don’t get as much happiness from it. This also keeps happening and it happened last month and the month before that.

Help, please if you guys have any tips put them in the tags or comments

So caffeine, advice, pure spite, and drawing birds helped. Good to know. I can animate again. Don’t know if the motivation is fully back tho. But it’s a step in the right direction :]

The idea of rebooted Eclipse not being able to be self-aware of his own reflection or depictions of him as Sun and Moon is so funny to me. Like he will scowl and frown at the mirrow for minutes if you don't assure him it's fine and drag him away from so that he won't try to pick a fight with it.

All will Eclipse in his mind be like: "That guy looks like a meanie, will keep Y/N safe from him."

i'm curious, just from looking at him, what vibes does TFPrime Starscream give to you? (asking mostly because he's the most outrageously different Starscream design-wise amongst the most popular gens)

the heels. the legs. the most pathetic wet dog expression known to men. the claws. what are the vibes he evokes in your heart? 👀

I enjoy this design a lotttt!! My friend calls TFPrime “the one where they all look cunty” and I think that is very accurate (looks at a Knockout shaped creature as more evidence for the TFP cuntatrons). I see the vibe of tfprime Starscream more like a mad scientist but still pathetic, and I do love a pathetic guy who pretends that he’s the shit. Even though he’s very different from most designs, and I didn’t even know that was him at first, I do love him too. I mean just look at him how could you not?? He’s got that weirdo charm. The only design/interpretation that I don’t like is the Bayverse design. I know that he’s meant to be cowardly but not that cowardly, also why is bro such a fly in those movies. They also took his gorgeous heels and whimsy away from him.

I wasn’t very happy with how Starscream’s face was looking in my first few drawings so I did an art study

1 was done with no reference, 2-4 had g1 reference, and 5 was a redraw of 1 with no reference, just experience from the other ones.

What do you mean he looks like I want him to? And I learned in just like 30 minutes??
