Depends on many factors such as cost, industry, functionality in some variables that have to be consider...but there's one that is the only important user oriented.

Internet is a big ocean where you can select many options for your career or business, that´s why is so difficult. I´m not talking to create social network profiles, I´m saying for those who want to create a profitable business. 

One of the main obstacles is the options. You can do so many things for your project that when you start you don't even know why and the tools are great but also extensive. 

For instance to make it simple if you want to sell shoes from your brand using ecommerce which tool is better? Shopify? Magento? WordPress woocommerce? That´s a core decision and depends in many variables. I am a WordPress fan for many reasons I can share in this link so you can check why this CMS is a good decision
