A little chip off the ol’ block
I’ll start by saying this; I am a controversial person. I like controversy; I like challenging opinions; I aim to ignite a plethora of thoughts between every crevice in your brain with my words.
I am Seth; You may know me differently, but I am here to give you a deeper understanding of my character.
For what it’s worth, I hate seafood; but I adore smoked oysters and crab. It’s kind of a confusing situation to be in; I enjoy playing in water and swimming, but if I’m dry and don’t plan on being wet I absolutely resent the idea of being “partially wet”.
If I’m washing dishes or filling up a glass of water, if my one or two hands are wet, and the rest of my arms are dry, and I don’t see any visible way of drying off my hands, I go absolutely batshit crazy!
I’m vulgar. I try to keep my writing and short interactions on a more professional, say “appropriate” level, but if I can be honest here for a second; Everyone swears and it’s not as big of a deal as it’s brought out to be.
People that have met me quickly understand that I cannot have a conversation with them without me cursing multiple times in that sentence.
I have a passion for literature. I love wordplay, quotes and speeches, and this is my big reason for wanting to become a writer. I come up with my own ideas and I stick to them. Unfortunately for me, I have this bad habit of when I start to write an article or illustrate something, I completely drown out the world around me, only focusing on my primary objective.
I am glass; I am through and through, what I say is what I mean. You will never have to try and see through me because I am wholesome. I strive for my complete honesty in my writing and when I am asked a question.
When I wake up I usually don’t eat. It probably takes an hour or two till my stomach starts shouting at me for skipping breakfast; I make it up to myself by enjoying a bowl of what I call afternoon-cereal. It’s probably a valid reason why I get so grumpy after I wake up.
One thing I take a lot of pride in is my ability to manipulate my own time to fit in the time of other people. I am flexible with my time and I’ve learned, not a lot of people know how to do that.
That is me. In its purity, and simplicity.
Don’t judge someone for what they have, Instead encourage them to get what they want.
I appreciate your time reading this, just know, reader; You reading this has made my day, you don’t have to acknowledge the fact you read it. I just thank you for your time to get to know me.
Thank you.
What is America nowadays?
Americans are the first people to verbally attack another country, lots think that America is a greater country than most but let’s be real, here in Canada we’ve only had 7 and a half (1 mass stabbing) recorded mass shootings in the last 20 years. I can name close too 12 shootings in America that have happened since January 2018...
Many are trying to defend gun laws and say it’s the persons fault and that people kill people. that is only true to such an extent. What need is there to defend gun laws and say it’s not the persons fault, mental heath, etc. If any of you guys have actually held a gun you should understand the feeling of power you get just having one. Holding and shooting guns makes you feel unstoppable, and powerful.I’ve only shot a semi automatic pistol (in a range, legalities in place) and I still felt powerful and in full control.
The fact teenagers in the states can get fully automatic assault rifles should just be obvious that the problem is the laws of gun control. I will say it a million times over. Teenagers should not be allowed the right to purchase and equip firearms of any sort unless they have had the proper training to use it and they keep it in their house for a home invasion. Sorry for all the affected families too poor gun control that took your siblings, children, parents or role models thus far into 2018.
5 quick lifestyle tips to make ever day easier.
Are you tired of looking around for your other matching sock? Do you lose everything and you literally just can’t find your wallet or car keys anywhere? Maybe these short and simple solutions can help your day go a bit easier.
1. Stuff your second sock in your first one after you take them off. You now have a ball of 2 socks with the space of one sock, and they will always be together!
2. Got an empty ice cream bucket? Or any bucket really. Just put one of these guys on your table by the door (If you have something like that in your household) and drop your keys and anything else you take out the door with you in there. It now has a place, it will always be in that place, as long as you use the bucket that is.
3. When getting a coffee from a public cafe or fast-food joint, ask them to put the sugar in before they pour the coffee, this will cause the sugar to dissolve faster from the heat being over top of the sugar and it will mix better rather than you drinking half a bitter coffee and half a cavity creator.
4. I’m fairly sure everybody knows this by now but it’s an honorable mention. Having the roll of paper towel or toilet paper fold under instead of over will prevent the chances of you trying to get one square and the whole tube unrolls.
5. Lastly, but not surely not least, when you are grocery shopping and unsure where to find a certain item, there are usually laminated sheets of paper listing almost every item in the store, their aisle, and the side of the aisle it is on. I honestly didn’t know about this till I worked at a big-chain grocery store like Superstore/Walmart. They are usually found on the pillars near the aisles or hanging off the side of the shelf on the side of the walkway.
Anways that concludes everything for my life tips. I hope this can help someone :)
Is Monster Hunter: World the game for YOU!?
The biggest difference I’ve seen in this instalment compared to older games in the franchise is it’s better appeal for new players.
I’m going to try and assist your decision to buy this game without spoiling too much.
Do you imagine a world without loot-crates, game breaking RGN, and balanced progression?
Monster Hunter: World leaves behind the overdone gimmick of loot-crates and random-number-generators so everyone gets a fair chance to progress through the game at a steady and rewarding pace. I’m honestly really happy that these over-done boxes have been left behind and i’m tired of seeing so many new games include these small forms of gambling.
I’m going to start talking about the gameplay without spoiling to much. You run around with the choice between 14 different style of weapons with different mechanics and many different sets of armour all with different skills to help boost certain abilities, damage, defends, and many other things to make quality of life, or make things less time consuming easier. You can mix and match any armour you want to create the ideal hunting style for you. Are you a gatherer? Do you like being in the thick of things? Maybe you want to stay back and buff your teammates resistances? For the more dedicated hunter you can also hunt the same monster multiple times for a full set of gear with special bonuses from that monster!
I gotta say that there is something.... relieving about slaying big, ferocious carnivorous beasts that are disturbing the small peaceful herbivores. Walking up to a big dinosaur looking thing and hitting it over the head with a large, heavy swinging hammer or, slicing it up with a sharp, tail-severing longsword just gives me a surge of adrenaline where I feel like a real monster hunter! More than just the hunting though is the gathering and the grinding. There is such a great feeling about gathering a bunch of materials and finding out you can craft a bunch of new items to use on your current/next hunt.
Moving on to how the game feels in your hands, it can sometimes be hard to land the perfect hit every time but usually if you take your time to line up your swings you won’t have a problem. In older iterations, movement and combat could be less than cooperative at times with poor camera control, but alas! that has been addressed. BowGuns and the Bow and Arrow are now viable picks and it’s actually pretty easy to solo with them now given you have experience with the weapon you are using. The game can sometimes feel unresponsive in the sense the game forces you to commit to almost any action you make, and it can get annoying if you like to second guess yourself. Don’t take me wrong for the combat though, it’s satisfying, fluid, fun and challenging. There is a decent learning curve in monster hunter but I believe that makes the game all the more fun to learn.
If you’re someone who likes to nod-off while enjoying scenery then this game will put you to sleep! THE SCENERY IS BEAUTIFUL!! I have got to give CAPCOM a pat on the back for how visually stunning the graphics are. honestly the way the leaves on trees look, the flow of water, far drawn out textures in distant view keep their resolution and the animation. The movements you see in this game feel real, although the voice acting may seem a bit off at first, It’s important to know that it was originally in japanese before translated and sold in the west so if you like to read lips you might catch yourself confused. They way characters run and move around seems very fluid and consistent. I gotta personally say the graphics draw me in a lot, they’re pretty, i’m guilty.
There’s always ambience on your hunt so you never really feel alone with the crickets chirping or the gentle breeze brushing leaves together, but the second you hit a monster, say goodbye to all that because it gets replaced with blood pumping battle music, and after the dinoboi roars at you, this feeling of intimidation creeps over you and then you know, I gotta plan carefully if I want to succeed on this hunt. I know I said the voice acting is not the greatest but when I said that I was trying to focus on how sometimes the movements of some characters lips don’t match up with what they are saying. The quality of the voices are great though, Every NPC sounds like they should. Big guy with a heavy great sword- gruff, forceful, voice. Small little girl with a map- high pitched, naive, voice. All the sounds seem very realistic, the patting on the ground as you run on dirt, the sound of the rustling of blades of grass while you trample on through and the graceful noises of water flowing down stream or being pushed around you as you walk through it.
There is honestly so much to do in this game, so much content and it’s hard to get bored cause if you’re getting tired of a weapon, you can switch to whatever you think is more fun. No single character is locked to a certain play-style and that’s what makes this game so great. Tired of tanking all those fireballs for your friends and you wanna sit back and shoot the arrows, don’t sweat it, you can change your weapon at almost ANYTIME in a mission or while you are back in hub contemplating re-doing that quest you’ve failed 3 times in a row. I’m only hunter rank 13, it’s took me 60 hours or so to get there and i’m not even close to finished the game.
In conclusion, the $70-80 price tag is definitely worth it for a game with this much content. You don’t need PSPlus to enjoy the game, it’s fully available to buy and play through yourself but it’s a more enjoyable experience with friends and makes it a little more difficult (which is good!). I’ve spent many hours on this game and failed many times but I still come back, it’s not that frustrating when you fail a quest and have to re do it because you can switch it up and do an optional mission or depart on an expedition and just gather some materials and capture some bugs.
TL;DR:
This game is packed with content, good graphics and fun, rewarding combat is just the tip of the iceberg. I really recommend you pick up Monster Hunter: World. It’s worth every penny and it’s a must have in my personal opinion.

5 Things the Games you Play say about you.
If you play video games, chances are the kind of games you play might have a little to do with your personality, without delay, let’s jump into it.
1. If you’re a fan of Role-Playing Games (RPG’s), then I bet your friends dread your party planning, cause for you, It’s time to bring out the board games and get your sweatpants on! You’re the box of pizza around your friends; You like to be around them and in return they like your company! You probably procrastinate everything you do because you’re already doing something that’s more important, obviously, like grinding for that new weapon. Just let me finish one more quest!
2. So you would much rather enjoy be head-to-head in fast paced combat playing First-Person Shooters (FPS) instead of dancing at the inn with the same character you’ve invested your sick days in, makes sense. If you play games like Call of Duty, Battlefield or Overwatch, there’s a high chance you enjoy cooperation. Nothing irritates you more than when you are trying to help someone and they don’t listen to you! You like to live on the edge a little, maybe you drive a little faster, or you cook toast on the highest setting and try to pop it before it burns, either way you’re a real risk taker and you enjoy adrenaline.
3. Maybe you’re the tactical friend and you enjoy thoughtful plannings and enjoy a long night out with some close friends, people like this are more inclined to your strategic games like League of Legends or Starcraft. Those of you rare strategy gamers tend to keep to yourself, or maintain a small circle of friends you can trust with your life. You aren’t the kind to betray a friend but you may stop talking to someone who goes against your personal interest for your own protection.
4. Always want to get out? Tired of living the same daily routine? Do you get irritable when you have a lack of freedom? You’re probably an Adventurer! Those who grew up to Adventure based games like Zelda and Metroid should understand what it’s like to get out and explore. These are your gamers who don’t mind spending a weekend in the bush, their imaginations run the wildest. You can expect these people to be talkative, almost to the point you can’t get a word in. You always have a story to tell and it’s just as important to you for people to listen as it is to talk, for you don’t want to waste your energy.
5. Last, but not least, Indie Gamers. If you’re an indie gamer, than you probably enjoy foreign coffees and trying new things. Those of you who play indie games are a fun bunch, always having crazy ideas on what to do next or how to have fun. Despite how much fun you are, you like to keep off the map. You don’t want to spend every saturday out clubbing or meeting new people, you need a break, like, forever. Eating is your full time job and food has always been a priority over air. Do you like croissants? I bet you do, I bet you like anything that you can eat, cause your an indie gamer.
