Allow me to be charitable for a second and give a genuine and kind and sympathetic outlook on this as a fic writer. If you want to see more of a certain kind of fic in fandom, the most important thing you can do is engage with fic authors and tell us that you like our works and want to see more. Leave kudos, yes, and comment, yes, but have those comments be specific about what you liked, about things you can see the author is a little insecure about, about things you think the author would be good at writing. Comment on our fics, publicly bookmark them, put them on rec lists, subscribe to us on AO3, send links to our fics in your fandom group chats, filter out fics you don't like and shut up about them in public. Complain in private if you want (I certainly do), but fic authors can see your bitterness and it demotivates them.

It's not uncommon for people's comfortable vocal range to get higher as they age/with lifestyle changes (like for example Bert McCracken also seems to tend towards a higher range in recent music compared to the early aughts) but it's SO apparent with Gerard that it's like whiplash

Upon further reflection Bert McCracken was not the best example to make this point. I do think someone might need to have a gentle yet meaningful conversation with her.
