can we all agree that handwash onlys are attention seeking? you're using the same dish soap as the rest of us but you need a sponge bath because you're too good for a shower

op some people will die if they're washed with soap at all. unlike certain plastic divas dishes that claim to be "top row only" like that makes a fucking difference.

i think it would serve the entire movement to just keep in mind that transfeminism is an application of intersectional feminism. we will get nowhere unless racism, anti-Blackness, ableism, etc. are dealt with within the movement and recognized in transfeminist thought. you cannot abandon intersectionality without abandoning transfeminism.
I finished Wizard,that was fun
the thing about (mostly cishet) men insisting that women are never interested in cars (and i suspect this is true for many male dominated hobbies) is that if you hang around in car nerd circles enough you will quickly discover that that's completely untrue and what is actually happening is that women who are interested in cars are not telling men that they like cars unless they know the guy is normal because like 75% of the time these guys respond by either acting super condescending or sexually harassing them

Also on the topic of short men, I’m anti elective limb lengthening surgery to make you look taller. I believe in bodily autonomy, I believe the surgery is necessary to treat a range of conditions, the end result for an elective height procedure on a man who is naturally short LOOKS TERRIBLE. It is AWFUL. With the growth of looksmaxxing, I’m seeing more dysphoric and deeply unhappy cis men opting for the procedure and the result is never better than the original. It is not like other purely aesthetic procedures like nose jobs and buccal fat removal, they break your legs and stretch them and this causes months and months of pain and physical therapy for maybe 3 inches of additional height. Risking chronic pain and permanent mobility issues and the final product looks terrible anyway. Eughhhh. Again, pro bodily autonomy, not against cosmetic procedures, this is one that needs to fade into obscurity.

Even though this won’t work out, these moments matter
New Commission Price Sheet. I'm still taking donations to help me financially recover after surgery and make it to my next pay check if people want to help that way as well. I'm also gonna try to update my portfolio this weekend. https://gofundme.com/f/support-robins-gender-affirmation-surgery
I'll also be opening up design sheet commissions. Size A, the largest size will be $50, the middle size will be $40, and the smallest will be $30.
tired of cannibalism as a metaphor for love or sex. can we get into cannibalism as a metaphor for colonization.
1. Europeans using Egyptian mummies as medicine
2. The Delectable Negro: Human Consumption and Homoeroticism Within US Slave Culture by Vincent Woodard
3. "Abolitionists turned the tables on Europeans by accusing them of being cannibals when they ate sugar tainted with the flesh and blood of slaves."
4. Zombies (which I would class as cannibals, since they were human and need to eat humans to live) have a root in Haitian folklore and represented enslavement.
adding that, if you can find it, cannibal culture by deborah root is about exactly this. the way the white western world is a hungry, destructive force that cannibalizes non-white cultures and creates wealth and status through the cannibal colonization of those cultures.
here's the intro
i almost think there's an essay in bell hooks' black looks about this too? yes! just checked, there's an essay called "eating the other"

have u watched obsession? if so, what are ur thoughts?:oo
i have! i thought it was a great entry in the small canon of narratives that dissect the enduring misogynistic concept of the "ideal woman" who is essentially an uncompensated 24/7 on-demand sex doll; a corpse given the illusion of life to mask the abject horror of her rapist's necrophilic perversion; an optimally attractive and perfectly submissive accessory to her (usually male) owner with no concept of resistance or any meaningful interiority (if she ever had any to begin with, it's been lobotomised out of her) that would require considering her personhood at all to speak of (other works in this "genre" being the likes of companion, and arguably pluribus, although it isn't the sole focus upon which the entire narrative hinges + is a somewhat more nuanced take on the idea). it's been refreshing to see these stories being written from a perspective that reflects the social anxieties of these (typically) female victims rather than their (typically) male perpetrators and acknowledges the severity of the damage that this kind of entitled dehumanisation does. there have been more than enough depictions of women like this who are simply "too good to be true" - sirens and succubi and vampires with blood-red painted lips - where she's a sinister, conniving monster scheming to steal our poor hero's life and material wealth with weaponised seduction tactics, who must be executed with extreme prejudice for her crimes, or else tamed and brought to heel by her master. to quote one of my favourite video essays, man bad horror (which manages to be both a blisteringly well written critique and an extremely entertaining dramatic presentation without ever feeling tone deaf), "to survive, misogyny, like any social illness, sheds its skin and takes new forms to adapt to modern sensibilities" - so it's a relief to see that horror creators are adapting alongside it.
