I really like the idea of the date of birth being reverse for nyo America. Rather being born in 1607 as the first colony as Alfred is; Amelia is born in 1732 as the last colony. Being born as the last colony gives Amelia only 50 years before the revolution and I think her knowledge on early colonial America would be just as skewed and prone to romanticism as Americans knowledge is. Along with that, the time Ameliaās growing up wouldnāt really be 1700s (I think that was her childhood) but the 1800s; with manifest destiny, the civil war, the wars with the British, Spanish, and Mexicans. I think that would make Amelia see violence and being involved in world affairs as far more natural and integral to America than she would have seen it had she not been born only 50 years before the revolution
England disapproving of every relationship America gets into because heās a whore and theyāre all his exs
I feel like I havenāt made a moodboard in so long
Anyways this one is a little far out there but itās for a moodboard for this idea I had that England is a vampire who turns America to a vampire to preserve her innocence, but in reality misery loves company and as the story goes on; England feels so connected to America that he think they should share each otherās misery regardless of what America thinks.
As I was thinking of the story I realized it could be a really good metaphor for Americaās and Englandās relationship before and during the revolution and now that Iāve given it more thought; I think Iām going to write this in substitution for that American revolution fic Iāve been demanding myself to actually write but havenāt because I suck at focusing on the politics and all I cared about was their relationship

Now that the era is over; can I say I kinda always hated that captain America was Americaās superhero, and I think it shouldāve been Superman? Because I think that
Thinking of child actor turned manufactured pop star America needing to make this super deep, tell all, magnum opus, album (because her company wants her to be more famous) but she isnāt actually permitted to write about her life because itāll damage some reputations so her company hires a washed up rockstar, England, to be the ghost writer and England thinks the integrity of music is dead while America is trying to find a way to rip up her contact and they fall in love, maybeā¦one day I will write thisā¦
Snippet/wip (around 2k words) of that since I got the inspiration to write it but I wonāt post it to ao3 until Iām fnish with the first chapter of something which Iām nearly done with
Arthur leisurely blew smoke out of his mouth. The smoke curled around him before floating up and away to where the other smoke from theĀ previousĀ three cigarettes were.Ā Ā
In plain black sweats and aĀ graphic shirt bleached of its original design; ArthurĀ reclined in his wanning leather chair thatĀ costĀ more than the seventies styled record playerĀ spinning aĀ vinyl of one of his older tracks.Ā December hazeĀ fromĀ his fourth studio album,Ā Tell the Queen.Ā TheĀ curtainsĀ were drawn shut; no light filtered in the record room except for the lamp in the corner spewing soft amber light.
ArthurĀ hadĀ been in the room for hours and did not know if it was day or night.Ā NotĀ that itĀ mattered to him.Ā Ā
It was a partyĀ in the record room, oneĀ where Arthur was the only livingĀ guestĀ and he got to set the music, the best kinds ofĀ parties in hisĀ opinion,Ā andĀ heĀ attendedĀ aĀ plethoraĀ of parties.Ā Ā
Arthur took another drag of his cigarette, debating if he should snub it out now before blowing out another puff;Ā he would light another oneĀ anyways.Ā Ā
His attention was drawn back to the song. It was reaching one of its climaxes now, Arthur had thought for his title track it should be akinĀ a rollercoaster. The song would dip up then down;Ā when you thought it wasĀ ending,Ā it would goĀ on,Ā and when you thought it would still goĀ on,Ā it came toĀ an unsatisfying end; no fade away or goodbye.Ā ArthurĀ hadĀ thought that would entice the listener, sunkĀ costĀ fallacyĀ and all. One of his former bandmates told himĀ thatĀ his type ofĀ talk was better for a board meeting, not the studio. ThoughĀ Arthur was the face, and he got his song. His fourth album did well.Ā Ā
Was his former bandmateĀ alsoĀ doing well? Arthur did not know and neither did he care. He could hardly remember if the manĀ wasĀ named Robert or Willaim;Ā He did have fifteen matesĀ comeĀ in and outĀ of hisĀ bandĀ across hisĀ eighteen-yearĀ run.Ā A factĀ heāsĀ very famousĀ for andĀ wasĀ veryĀ humiliated about when he was in thatĀ celebrityĀ rehabilitation campĀ that got shut down a few years ago for being tied to a cult.Ā Ā
Arthur is notĀ humiliatedĀ anymore. Not in his record room, listening to his legacy.Ā Some of his former mates saw hisĀ visions,Ā andĀ some did not;Ā some heĀ remembered the names ofĀ and some heĀ could not beĀ paidĀ to;Ā some areĀ dead,Ā and some just hate him;Ā and those who hate him are those Arthur hate right back. Robert or William is one of those heĀ hates.
The man was a certified cunt who swore his bass prowess could replace the integrity and artistry of Arthur.Ā Luckily,Ā he returned to being an average wanker of London before he could do that. The man wasĀ probablyĀ tryingĀ to write aĀ memoir of hisĀ two years stay with ArthurĀ right nowĀ or back to performing at thoseĀ grimyĀ pubs for fiftyĀ bucksĀ and a cheerĀ where Arthur had first found him.Ā
Arthur wasĀ just gladĀ the cunt was not in the room with him, so he could comfortably admitĀ that Robert or Willaimās bass prowess was killer and the record would not haveĀ comeĀ together the way it had if heĀ wasĀ not a member.Ā Ā
Still, it was Arthur legacy he was relistening to andĀ he is confident that if it hadĀ comeĀ down to itĀ forĀ recording theĀ record, heĀ couldĀ have playedĀ the bass just as good, if not better, than thatĀ man.Ā Ā
Arthurās house was a small thingĀ on topĀ a hill; he thought he had no need for a vast mansion anymore.Ā So,Ā when the house phone in hisĀ kitchenĀ began toĀ ring,Ā he heard it all the way from his record room.Ā The song was reaching itsĀ abruptĀ end when Arthur sighed and rose to turn the record player off.Ā Ā
The cigarette dangled out of his mouth as he shuffledĀ out ofĀ the room,Ā releasingĀ the trapped smokeĀ toĀ roam freeĀ aroundĀ theĀ houseĀ asĀ heĀ went. The blinds in the rest of his houseĀ wereĀ sheer,Ā and the bright orange sun shone through. Arthur thought the house was an imitation of homeliness.Ā Ā
He squinted at a wooden clock next to a plaque for one of his songs going diamond; It was tenĀ nearingĀ eleven.Ā
The phoneĀ continuedĀ to ring. Arthur furrowed his eyebrows; whoĀ wanted toĀ callĀ himĀ in theĀ late ten am?Ā Ā
He wondered if it was hisĀ son,Ā Matthew. TheyĀ have a good schedule of talking twice a month,Ā thoughĀ the conversation is alwaysĀ sparse and withĀ his mother hovering over his back. He hoped the boy was calling him to tell Arthur he was old enough to have a phone on his own, talk to Arthur on his own; that he wants to be Arthurās son.Ā Ā
As he made way to the kitchen, he also wondered if it was Matthewās mother, Francia.Ā He married her when he was twenty-one,Ā and she was twenty, a childhood friend that turned groupieĀ forĀ hisĀ thenĀ one-year-old band. Not exactly a fairytale to tell your children but on par for his music. Twelve yearsĀ later sheĀ filed for divorce and fled toĀ ParisĀ where her grandfather,Ā who she always complainedĀ to himĀ about, lived and tookĀ his onlyĀ son withĀ her.Ā Arthurās forty-two now. Neither the spanking twenty-one-year-old she married or the spiraling thirty-three-year-old she left.Ā ArthurĀ snubbedĀ theĀ cigaretteĀ outĀ on the kitchen counterĀ beforeĀ pickingĀ up the phone.Ā He knew his ex-wife would not call him, unless their son was dead, and evenĀ then,Ā she might tell theĀ morticianĀ to call before she does.Ā
Francia was a bitch, Arthur could admit to anyone with ease. She was an absoluteĀ whiner who fittedĀ the cut ofĀ being aĀ businessmanāsĀ trophy wifeĀ thanĀ his. Though Francia had been his muse, when they met and when they married.Ā When she left,Ā ArthurĀ struggled to writeĀ new musicĀ without her,Ā hisĀ depression andĀ theĀ drugsĀ wereĀ aiders.Ā A handful of critics say his career went downhill afterĀ theĀ divorce;Ā where he went downhill is debated about often.Ā Arthur tries to stay off internet forums because of it.Ā Ā
āThis is Arthur Kirkland, who am I speaking to?ā He croaked out, days of not speaking whileĀ catering toĀ drinking and smoking clear in his voice.Ā
āArt! My brother!āĀ
Arthurās emerald eyes widened slightly. HeĀ recognizedĀ thatĀ ScottishĀ accent. It was ArthurāsĀ stepbrotherĀ as well as his manager, Agnus. ArthurĀ often gets strange looks when he says he still has a manager, and he would not deny he is past his gloryĀ days,Ā but that does not mean he wants to draw the curtains closeĀ on hisĀ careerĀ entirety.Ā Ā Once he gets the inspiration, Arthur is pumping out something great and his manager knows it. Besides, Arthur was still a respected enough name,Ā a good wayĀ forĀ AgnusĀ to convince a new talent to join his agency;Ā andĀ heĀ would be more than an ass to drop Arthur after so many years just becauseĀ heāsĀ no longer aĀ cash cow.Ā ItāsĀ not as if Arthur is milking his stepbrother dry either.Ā Ā
āYouāreĀ calling me at what is it? Eleven? Early morning Agnus, I hope this is good.ā Arthur huffed withĀ amusement.Ā
āMore than good. More than good, brother.ā Arthur could practically see the way his manger-brother hand is moving, flailing around jovially, āI just gotĀ aĀ miracleĀ offer. For you.āĀ
Arthur hummed.Ā āIs it finally my time to get aĀ VegasĀ residency?Ā Yet...ifĀ itāsĀ one of those rockstars comeĀ togetherĀ for forty and older pricksĀ thing thenĀ I'mĀ not doing it. IāmĀ not getting anotherĀ aggravatedĀ assaultĀ charge.āĀ ItĀ was fun for Arthur to relive theĀ brightsĀ day of his career with his nameĀ backĀ on the front page of the sun,Ā for those three monthsĀ whenĀ EnglandĀ cared. ThoughĀ the legal process was a headache andĀ ArthurĀ does not have the energy for it anymore.Ā
āBetter.āĀ AgnusĀ insisted, āYou know the label,Ā World Star?āĀ
āHow could I not?āĀ Ā
A big label company in hot-shot city of LA. They prided their label onĀ having aĀ diverse arrange of talents all marketingĀ toĀ hormonalĀ teensĀ andĀ parents who would not mind spendingĀ someĀ moneyĀ on a carboard cutout or a lunchbox or a custom doll. Arthur does not know how many names World StarsĀ haveĀ under their belt.Ā However, from his memory;Ā there was that German, Italian, and Japanese band, that ArthurĀ thought was a missedĀ opportunityĀ toĀ not beĀ namedĀ Axis Powers, which fell apart after the rumorsĀ that theĀ German and ItalianĀ wereĀ dating got too loud; andĀ there was a Belgian singer who had a few disco tracksĀ ArthurĀ kept in his catalog,Ā he thinks he slept with her onceĀ during a binge.Ā
Though,Ā most importantly, World Star had Amelia Jones; blonde, bug-eyed, hot new thing Arthur heardĀ on speakersĀ and sawĀ on postersĀ every time he stepped out of his house; he isĀ beginningĀ to think sheĀ wasĀ AmericanĀ propagandaĀ seeping into the British psyche.Ā Amelia Jones is bubblegum blue andĀ theĀ World StarĀ RecordĀ labelāsĀ flagship.Ā Ā
āYou know Amelia Jones?āĀ
Arthur breath caught in his throat; he noĀ longerĀ cared for the questions.Ā āGet to theĀ point Agnus.āĀ
āAlright, no need to yank. I just got a call fromĀ WorldĀ Star.Ā TheyāreĀ giving you anĀ offer to be a writer for her impending album.āĀ
The breath he held came out of him as if Arthur had been punched in the gut.Ā Ā
āAre you fucking with me, Agnus?āĀ
āIs it April? No,Ā completelyĀ I'mĀ serious.āĀ
āWhy me? Out of all men in this world, why is it thatĀ I'mĀ the one they want, huh?āĀ
The line on Arthurās end was silent for a moment; Arthur felt his thrill at being chosenĀ turnĀ to skepticism.Ā Ā
āThat is a good question.āĀ His manager-brother said, āThough the label was the real one.āĀ
Arthur lookedĀ atĀ the window, narrowing his eyes at theĀ sun whichĀ createdĀ sharp shadows in his kitchen and across his house.Ā WhatĀ reasonĀ wasĀ there for him to be chosen?Ā Arthur mind racked for one. He is no popstar, never even leaned thatĀ side,Ā and he hasĀ mockedĀ theĀ professionĀ a multitude of times so why him?Ā Arthur knows he is not the freshest of talent, certainly not for the burning star that is Amelia Jones. They have no reason to want Arthur to leave his hillside house in England and fly to America to write for their star Amelia Jones. Unless theĀ writing credit was notĀ allĀ it was.Ā Things were rarely all heĀ thought itĀ wasĀ in the industry.Ā Ā
āWhat is the catch?ā Arthur asked with forcedĀ steadiness.Ā Arthur knew catches, bad contracts, low pay,Ā obligationalĀ endorsements; he would have to sell somethingĀ of his time and selfĀ forĀ anything goodĀ in return.
āCatch...āĀ Arthur counts six heartbeats passing as he held the phoneĀ dearĀ before hisĀ manger-brother said, āThey decide theĀ terms.āĀ Ā
A another thing that reminds me of rusame. Partly inspired by Artemis II launching

I canāt picture America having sex, and not in sense of: thatās my child! Heās so innocent! But I find the idea of him being completely smooth down there like a Ken doll weirdly fitting. Unzip his pants and itās nothing!!

Slayyyter, thank you for giving me the greatest song for America

Oh he Gilbert Beilschmidt downnn
Did the 13 colonies die when they became states? Each state still has their own government and laws even if theyāre under the jurisdiction of the federal government
I never had the colonies exist in the first place because it was central to America and Englandās story that England no other colony but America though I am starting to go back on that idea because it leans too heavily on the concepts of predetermined fates. However, to answer your question, yes the colonies did die when the United States was formed except for the colony that hosted the capital before DC which was New York and is part of the reason why I made America be born as New Netherlands/New York instead of Virginia.
Okay so Iāve been thinking a bit more about non-nation representatives, children of nations, and pregnancies and I got some loose ideas. Itāll go in order from what Iām more thorough about to vague/no good answers
Starting with non nation representatives. I never liked the idea of states/provinces all existing because thatās just too many damn people! Especially if theyāre meant to be children as theyāre often portrayed to be.
Now the originals way I had it was that regions took the place of states but I decided if states/provinces donāt exist at all however, territories will and the catch with territories is that they can only exist as territories or countries, if they become a state or province; they will die.
All territories are the children original country/kingdom, not the county/kingdom that makes them a territory, sometimes theyāre born as a replacement to the original country/kingdom if the country/kingdom is taken over by another country/kingdom and other times theyāre just the children of a country/kingdom when a territory is made.
Iām using Alaska and Hawaii as examples for this and Iāll talk a bit about them more later, but for example; Alaska is the child of America and Russia, born as the territory of Alaska. However Hawaii is the replacement for the kingdom of Hawaii, born when the US colonized the kingdom and turned it into a territory, but theyāre both territories.
I donāt have any real reason for this; itās vibe based.
A bit more about territories and America specifically; she has one child, previously two, and that child is DC. America has other territories but they were all born the way Hawaii was and has no real relations to America.
DC is technically not a territory but I donāt see any reason why it canāt work in the same realm, so long as itās not a state really.
I had to think about DC because DC wasnāt born between two nations or came from any other, itās a place in America only so I decided for DC to be born in that asexual, replacement birth, that female nations have when a new country/kingdom/whatever is going to replace them, and this would signal that America is about to die but sometimes female nations can have replacements then live for decades.
Britannia/Albion (as I like to call her) is an example to this; she had four children, England being one of them, and England ended up replacing her only decades after she had him. though England is a little special because heās a replacement baby born between two countries, Rome and Albion, which rarely happens but it can.
Anyways, DC will eventually replace America so long as DC does not become a state. And I think if DC becomes a state then America will just have another replacement baby because the way replacement work is that it canāt actually be stopped. Iām using England as an example again but England had a daughter named Wessex, Wessex was meant to to replace him but he killed Wessex and became Wessex instead of being replaced but that does not mean he is safe from being replaced or another representative being born to take his spot again.
I do want to write about that a bit as DC was born in 1790, during the early years of the US so i image it was very disparaging for America to have a son that would replace her just as she starting out as her own nation especially with how rare female nations are and how often they would die. I suppose she grows away from the fear and hatred to accept that one day DC will replace and copes with it all by using the idea that itās better for her son, who only she had, to replace her than anything else.
This is longer than I thought, but whatever. Onto Alaska and Hawaii.
He was born in 1867 and died in 1959 and as I said, Alaska was the child of Russia and America. I like the idea of Alaska being the āI donāt want a divorce, letās have a babyā territory for rusame even though historically it may not work the best however Alaska and his death was 100% the beginning of the end for rusame. As I see their relationship not turning bitter and antagonistic until the early 60s when they gave up on trying to keep the politics out of their relationship and I believe the bitterness started once Alaska died because how are you going to be with someone youāre not actually supposed to be with after your son died for political reasons centered around the two of you? I think they both blame each other for Alaska.
And for Hawaii; she died around the same time as Alaska but America does not care, figures. America did not consider Hawaii a child of hers, not even after ww2, and Hawaii was kept in care by a nanny and the White House while America ran around with DC and Alaska. America did feel some guilt about how little she cared for Hawaii and she knew she would not mourn her the same way she will mourn Alaska and she abandoned the territory and all her other territories the same way she was abandoned as a colony but the guilt went away pretty fast, she was in the midst of a Cold War.
I donāt have that much to say on pregnancies for nations; I think I said something before about the length of pregnancy for representatives being different, longer or shorter, I canāt remember but Iām not here to refute whatever I said before. However I will add. Female nations have periods and they have menopause too though it works differently.
Females nations can have two types of children and Iāll call the first type pre-menopausal; itās when theyāre in the age range that human women are when theyāre pre-menopausal, from ages 12 - 52, female nations get their periods and can have children. The children they have that come out around this age will be normal human babies and female nations can have them with human and other representatives, the pregnancy is standard as is the childbirth and the aging for the child. Once a female representative is past 52 they stop getting their periods and while they can still have children with humans and representatives; the children that will be born during this time will be strange. They will need blood to survive instead of milk because representative babies drink blood instead of milk yet these half babies donāt have the teeth same to bite with that representative babies are born with, and often the half representative babies are left in the care of their non representative parent who obviously wonāt think to give them blood. So these children more often than not donāt make it past infancy and if they do then theyāll just die at the typical age that humans do.
When a female representative passes the age that they are considered alive (100 and beyond) then the only children they can have will be representatives and this not speaking of replacements, all nations can have replacements no matter the time, but specifically about independent states/countries that share a land. I feel like this is a bit difficult to explain but hereās what Iām thinking.
States that are under a unified government: donāt exist because the unified government exists
States that are susceptible to a unified government but are not under its complete jurisdiction (territories and others): do exist but will die if they become fully unified.
States that are under its own jurisdiction yet share a land with other states: do exist and are the only kind of children female nations can have post-menopausal as one of those states will eventually become the unified government to replace them.
This is how I think Albion works, before the Roman; the British isle was ruled by separate kingdoms yet they all shared the land of Albion and shared the name, like a continent and so Albion was able to have children which represented those kingdoms and countries independently until the Romans came and she had her replacement who would eventually unify the land.
This idea came to because I was thinking a lot about the British isles and how that works especially with the U.K. because that was a headache to work out as I wanted all of the U.K. countries to be alive and related to each other but I also wanted England to become the U.K. which I felt didnāt work with each other as; if the U.K. countries lost their sovereignty to become apart of the kingdom then they shouldnāt exist. But here what I got.
This is another vibes based thing
Some countries/kingdoms/whatever can exist in a limbo state between a territory and a country when they merge under a kingdom but donāt exactly change. They have both the threat of death of becoming a state and being fully merged into another nation and the promise of becoming a country once more.
As the kingdoms slowly got incorporated into England and then became Great Britain then the U.K. ; Wales, Scotland and Ireland all lost the invincibility and invulnerability that nations have as they lost their sovereignty; so theyāre only semi-immortal rather than fully immortal and England, as the representative of the U.K., has the ability to kill them. Though he is the only one who has that ability. They heal slower, need food and water more often, and age faster than nations do while theyāre in this limbo of a nation and a territory. Ireland escaped this mess in 1921.
A representative losing their immortality as their nation loses power is something I always thought of as it was how I image Rome died; stabbed to death by a human. If a nation looses enough power they will be weak enough to be killed by anyone or anything a human could be killed by.
I went off the rails with this and forgot to mention that post-menopausal babies, the representative babies, have razor infant teeth which slowly dull out as they age and pregnancy post-menopausal is still pretty typical except they crave blood and raw meat more often, for their blood drinking babies.
This isnāt all too gender neutral or inclusive because I just can not come up with a way to give male nations all of this in a satisfying way; Iām really just about to say fuck it and mpreg or that for certain things, like in the case of the British isles, a representative is alway born female or maybe a male representative can do this all to a human female or female representative like if America needed DC to be born then he would impregnate a woman out of this pure need to, and the baby be born but as replacement baby which is kinda how I wrote Wessex and England to be. Wessex was the replacement for England but she was born from England and Gewisse with Gewisse dying after giving birth and I suppose England was meant to die too but he killed Wessex. And I like that story but I donāt know how well itāll translate into a general way. I donāt know. Iāll come up with something soon enough.
Kinda Mediocre end to this essay I wrote
