💜 What are Gender Buddies?
Gender Buddies are critters based on different genders! They come in all sorts of shapes and sizes, and have many different abilities. All of them have some kind of elemental alignment and can range from very common to very rare. Please see the Info page to get all the details!
💜 Are they friendly?
These critters are known to seek out friends and allies depending on their friendship level (FRND) but all of them are considered pacifistic and their "abilities", even the elemental ones, don't do any damage. Their power level (PWR) is higher depending on how rare they are, but let's consider "power" to actually mean "strength of heart" more than physical strength.
💜 Can I request a Buddy?
Yes! I am now taking requests for new Buddies or even different versions of Buddies to be made (such as a critter in the colors of an alternative flag design or a redesign of something I already drew.) These will all be level 5 Buddies, which are never posted in the main batch.
💜 Is this a Pokemon knockoff?
Not at all! I made sure to keep this as far from that franchise as possible. The abilities are all non-offensive and not considered "attacks", the elements are unique to this project (at least as much as possible), and the names of the critters are not based on anything but the exact name of the gender they represent. Also, you can't catch or evolve them! (Yet...)
💜 What else should I know?
Please refer to all Buddies with it/its pronouns and remember that they only represent genders, so they aren't necessarily the genders they represent!
