Well, inspired by being in the hospital about to get 8 x-rays (my bones must be very photogenic), thinking about Callie as a caregiver. I love her so much, she deserves to have a baby to call her own.

Thinking a lot about this image and how these two dummies probably invented new rules for Uno because the conventional ones are definitely too mature and difficult for them.
Me: I made a pact with the devil.
What really happened: My friend and her girlfriend agreed to let me show them Star Trek DS9. On the condition that I watch the romantic comedy films with my friend's girlfriend that my friend doesn't have the patience to watch. In other words, a pact with the devil.
Pros of rereading your own fics: Holy shit this is amazing
Cons of rereading your own fics: How is there always a typo I missed every single time I read this

I just watched Sheep Detectives and it made me cry a lot. That being said, what kind of movie do you think would make Jackson cry?
Not a very complex question because my eyes are too watery for me to write anything refined 😂😭
This is such a good question!
When regressed, Finding Nemo makes Jackson cry. It's one of his favorite movies, but multiple parts have him afraid or very sad. Still, he insists on finishing it every single time. Same with all the Toy Story movies. He's crying when Jessie is left behind on the side of the road, but will pitch a fit if Mark tries to turn it off.
When big, he ends up crying over sports films. Stuff like Brian's Song, Remember the Titans, Cinderella Man, things of that nature. He's not bawling or anything, but a tear runs down his cheek, he's rubbing at his eyes, discreetly wiping his nose.
He's not one to usually cry over romcoms, but the one exception is the time Callie and Addison watch Stepmom. At first, he thinks it's just some lame, boring movie, and then he's sobbing at the end, threatening to emancipate himself because why did they let him watch that?! Callie and Addison just give him lots of cuddles, lightly teasing him but also proud of him for emrbacing his feelings. (Meanwhile, Mark wasn't there because they already tricked him into watching it once and it had the same effect) Alex somehow finds out and thinks he's just being a big baby. So Jackson makes him watch it, and it's even enough to melt stone-cold Alex, same later with Jo. (They cannot watch it with April, though, because they know she would flood the house with tears)
The movies that grab us the most are the ones we least expect.
I think a lot about what affects each person. So I wanted to leave my two cents.
I'm almost certain that Babe and Charlotte's Web are two movies that April loves but Owen avoids letting her watch because she'll cry uncontrollably.
The same goes for Jo when the subject is Matilda or Scooby Doo (2002). When Jo is overwhelmed with feelings but doesn't want to talk about them, Amelia puts on movies so Jo can release her feelings and blame the films. It usually works to get her to open up afterward.
As for our dear Alex, I'm going to bet on Zathura and Jumanji because the factors of siblings and unfair situations, plus his control, really resonate with him. Remember that two of the protagonists of Jumanji are Shepherd siblings.
Honorable mention to Meet the Robinsons which is a film that is absolutely forbidden for all of them. Not only does it make you cry, but it gives nightmares thanks to "bowler hat". And of course, Monster House, because it's a scary movie but also very sad.
Owen: "Peace and quiet, I'll finally be able to relax on my day off."
April who is angry with him for some reason but doesn't know how to talk about her feelings:

caterina is one of us for real 🤧
It's the most wonderful time of the year🎶
Why? Because it's Christmas? Oh no, no, it's just because I'm back.
And I come back with a thought.
New York City, babe.
That place had been Mark and Addison's home for over a decade, so it was only fair that they showed Jackson and Callie around the city in their own way. Mark had to filter a lot of things to make sure his part of the tour was kid-friendly. Addison had to filter a lot of things so Mark wouldn't fall asleep during her part. But I know for sure that Jackson would love museums and would be happy to go to plays with her. Mark would show the most unexpected places to get food or go skiing, after all it's winter (Yes, I lied, the idea takes place near Christmas). Callie is happy to do anything that makes her family happy. Jackson is happy to learn everything his parents introduce him to.Without a doubt, the thing that fascinated him the most was two rats fighting over a pizza on the subway. Addison is slightly indignant, after all the city is more than that, but she's grateful that at least they didn't experience a day of flooding on the subway.
Sorry this took me so long to get to. Life has been lifeing extra hard as of late. Father's Day is not an easy time of year for me, but I want to try to make some headcanons and whatnot by tomorrow for the kids. And I wanted to answer this!
I love, love, loveee thinking about the family heading out East to visit family. They absolutely all have different ideas of "fun" while they're there. I will say, I absolutely believe while they visit Carolyn and the other Shepherds that live in the area, they stay in a hotel. Carolyn offers to host them (she likes Callie more than Addison in my head), but they know for their sanity they need a hotel. So, they get a suite with two rooms (even though Jackson ends up in their bed more often than not).
This family strikes me as the type to be okay with splitting off. Addison takes Jackson to her favorite spots that would make her spouses sleep and they head to do things that Jackson nor Addison would do. Later, Mark takes Callie and Jackson to a Yankess game while Addison hits up a spa. But they mostly do things together, eating at fun, local places.
Jackson's very excited about the subway and seeing the rats, but he then hates the noises so they go on it a total of 1 time, from there on either walking, cabbing or taking the bus (which Addison never did in her years there, but every day's an adventure). Jackson thought he could handle it because Boston has the T trains that are very similar and feels bad that he goes into sensory overload, but his parents don't mind. In fact, they don't like the subway very much either.
Mark brings them to places he went as a kid. And he carries Jackson almost everywhere when he's dropped because he's paranoid about him going missing. (And let's be real, probably carries him sometimes when Jackson is big but sleepy)
They'd all see The Lion King on Broadway because it's fun and colorful and it won't put Mark or Callie to sleep. Addison just likes the costumes.
And of course, they take a day trip to Greenwich to visit the Forbes Montgomery compound, but that's mostly so Jackson can visit Grand Central, take the train, and see Addison's childhood bedroom. Plus visit his Uncle Archer.
Their trip is very productive and fun, but Addison and Mark also wonder how the hell they ever lived there. Seattle is the best because it's a city but it's not as city, city as NYC. Callie thinks it's more fun than visiting Florida, where she's from, because at least there's no hurricanes. It's also safer for her to openly hold her wife's hand, at the very least.
That's the thing, anything can happen in New York🎶
Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, you always create such a great worldview and characterization.
Dynasty is like: "What if the Montgomerys had separated and the Captain was a father who cared about his children?"
Honestly this is such a good way of putting it. Blake Carrington is an asshole...but you can tell deep down he actually loves them, in his own weird way.
I really feel that Blake is Archer, if we got more of him on Private Practice, or even now in the Grey's universe. Which would be fun given how stale some of the characters are.
Definitely. Because Archer shouldn't be allowed to have children, but if he did, this would be the result.
The day Grey's Anatomy remembers it needs to give depth to its characters will be the final season. It will only have two episodes and three characters because there won't be enough money to develop them all.
Making a confession because I found it hilarious that this happened.
Guess who dreamed they were Teddy and Owen's child? Exactly, me. I love Teddy so much that I found it really funny when I woke up. The dream wasn't anything too complex, other than me asking Owen where Teddy was, and then when I found her I hugged her and asked her something about Amelia (of course it's about Amelia) that I don't remember what it was.
That makes sense since I was thinking a lot about Teddy because I love Teddy. And also because I, being the polyamorous aroace that I am, was thinking about how Teddy/Owen/Amelia work very well as a queerplatonic relationship.
I'm biased because I love the dynamic between these three. Teddy and Amelia balance Owen well. And Owen's rigidity prevents them from going too wildly.
I'm almost certain I've said this before but...
Aunt Teddy! Aunt Teddy!
Having Teddy around is great because it means they at least have one adult female figure who knows how to cook.

I hope you all enjoy this as much as I do. It wasn't very fair to Addison, but I couldn't resist the joke.
