The Cosmic Cube can do anything! That is, provided you have a warrior with the strength to wield it properly. Cosmic Cube is useless on its own, but whenever you attack, you get to cast a spell for free from the top cards of your library if you're attacking with a creature that has power equal to or greater than its mana value. There's a lot of commanders that have 4 or 5 power and a keyword that makes them good at attacking like flying or menace, and in decks led by these commanders it shouldn't be too difficult to get a lot of value out of Cosmic Cube, or at least break even on it, particularly with its ward cost making it likely you get at least one swing.

Downsides, not interesting in formal commander. Upsides, great in casual. Interesting in formats with sideboards. How is it not legendary? Someone's going to have 2? I could also see it getting spells, but liked the feel of it making something real from outside the game.
