as a kid I was always very. very. violent. towards bugs especially. when we would make a campfire, I would find a stick and a plastic bag, wrap it around one end of the stick and heat it up in the fire. it would melt and start dripping. then I would find an ant hill and start "sending missiles from the sky" using the dripping melted bag. my parents always told me that it's bad and I should not do that.
I thought that it's just all kids are violent like I used to be and it's something you grow out of.
apparently it was just me. today I was removing slugs from vegetables from our garden. I was like "ok, I'll just flush them into the toilet when we're done", and my brother wasn't happy about it. he wanted me to let them go. despite being afraid of the slugs btw. so it was just me violent and evil as a kid for literally no apparent reason
I came up with a way to feed crickets to the mournings in those little jars for pills. the crickets can't climb or jump out at their current age. this way crickets don't go everywhere in the tank and my room
now I keep seeing gecko snouts or tails poking out of the cricket jar hehehe
ok cricket bin attempt two this year
it's been a bit over a day now. crickets don't chirp. why do they not chirp. I swear if they're dying out again. if they're infested again. I'm getting a bit concerned at how much I spend on crickets for them to just die out
ok so all the adults have been fed to geckos. I realized why they didn't chirp or chirped really quietly. there was literally only one male cricket.
maybe that's the trick. the trick to keep crickets without my parents complaining about the noise. just get a colony with an only one male. that would cause a guaranteed start for horrible inbreeding, but at least the household's happy
I would have loved to change the substrate for my crickets but I might have to wait until they aren't ant sized anymore. so, a month I think. hope nothing bad happens

mmmm yum yum yum yum yum fresh juicy crickets
boy that's a lot of ants
WAY TOO MANY ANTS (BABY CRICKETS I MEAN) BY THIS POINT. they need space. adults will have to go. it's the day when I feed my geckos. yippee
wawa I animate
pretty proud of this one. of the cloak movement
all of my geckos have such different personalities. I treat them as characters. which means coco is being affectionately tortured for being an anime popular bully girl type <3
the reason I thought about it, is that those who breed and collect morphs and species of geckos occasionally sell some to free the space for new ones. I don't breed or collect geckos, but I just thought that if I had to, who could I sell.
but they're each so unique. like, yeah, I don't like interacting with coco because she scratches my hands really hard and always acts nervous, but that's a part of her self, I don't mind it at all and I like that she's different from the rest. each of them is.
so yeah I wouldn't be able to sell any of them
I got cool apple water

I don't watch shows that often. in fact, I barely watch any movies or series. so I don't have the resistance against the "ok that was awesome, now how am I supposed to sleep after that".
it's truly unfortunate. it's even more unfortunate because if I watch something, it's always at night

FLASHING LIGHTS WARNING
he don' care. he eep. he cozy.
I changed my desk lamp, but now it doesn't shine under the little shelf I have for my monitor. usually my geckos go hang out under there, but now that I can't see what they're doing there, it makes me anxious.
so I had this cheap LED strip light lying around, so I taped it under the shelf
flashing lights video is under the cut
