i will say that the difference in my reading skills from before i started cramming words like crazy and now is amazing. even if i don't know the exact reading/meaning i can make way more educated guesses based on knowing MOST of the characters

it's not like im in favor of the ai pics but when i see people get super worked up about the ai generated pictures of people like acchan, saying how disrespectful it is to his memory etc, i just don't think that's really the problem we need to make it into. i don't see how it's more disrespectful than the extremely weird fanfiction they write about him. i dont think its more disrespectful than his bandmate getting cosy with a known domestic abuser (and posting that to the instagram account related to his activities as a band member, which in a way also represents atsushi). there's so much Bigger stuff. the ai stuff sucks for environmental reasons and bc it poisons the well for future fans looking for genuine images. but i can't direct any of my attention towards it as a moral cause regarding The Memory Of Acchan when there are more pressing issues.

I think I can only enjoy metal when it's live music because I've gone to shows that had metal(core) openers and loved them and then I listen to it at home and I'm like yeah whatever. just doesn't have that energy

Hakuouki makes you wonder why he is the leader at all, but the Taiga drama for example makes it abundantly clear that it's his charisma and people skills that pulled this together. Hijikata on his own would have never managed that.

While we're at it I don't like Hakuouki's characterization of Kondou as just a bumbling well-meaning fool either.
