                    “aren’t you staring at her picture for too long? you might go blind at that rate.” junho laughed, shaking his head. daeryeong and him were discussing his schedules for the following day in junho’s dorm. and without even noticing, he had started browsing through that one girl’s profile pictures in…well…ALL of her social media. a common habit, junho realized, ever since he first started developing feelings for her. “you know, at this rate you’re going she’ll never return your feelings.” daeryeong stood up from where he was sitting on the dinner table and flopped beside junho on the sofa, taking his phone in his hand. “woah. what are you doing not making a move?” junho stared at the ceiling, breathing out a huge SIGH. as if he hasn’t seen how pretty she was all these years? “ah yes, hello! it’s junho’s manager. are you free today?” daeryeong asked loudly, glancing at junho who had frozen in place. “ah really? junho’s free too and needs to be around friends. could you meet him at this restaurant?” WHAT? “hyung! what the heck are you doing?!” “alright! he’ll be on his way!” SHIT. the call ended and it was only then did junho’s manager give his phone back. “guess you have a date tonight. look sharp but not too sharp that you’ll get noticed.” junho could only look at his phone in shock. daeryeong sing-songed as he announced he was going to smoke before they leave. great. 

         SEOUL HAD not treated him particularly w e l l since he had left prison. the newspapers had been adorned with his face and his name when he had been released. ‘ innocent ’ — proven, finally, after 4 years of self-destruction, self-loathing, and the guilt that had come creeping with the inevitable question: did he do it? ( he had questioned it himself, for some time now, and he had come to the conclusion that INNOCENCE was no longer a language he spoke ). that’s why his soft skin was painted with bruises and his cracked knuckles sore from where they had met someone else’s jaw just a second ago. it wasn’t unusual for him to be here, sitting on a curb outside of a bar, cigarette between his lips. by now he had come to terms with the idea that this was who he was — it was, after all, b e t t e r than being no one at all. he felt a pair of eyes upon him and let out a breath clouded by the nicotine he had just inhaled. «you shoulda seen the other guy,» he said humorlessly, tired gaze eventually rising to meet the other. 

Dain: Are you sure you're okay?

Dain: you jumped out of nowhere, I got startled, I didn't mean to hit you eariler.

Dain: hopefully you don't bruise :/

gayoon: uhh ..

♪ ♫ ♩  —— his fingers s t r u m out a small tune as he sits in front of the entrance to the nearest subway, a soft hum sounding in his throat as he tried to get the tune he wanted JUST right. it was eight in the morning on a tuesday, which was p r i m e  hours for those still heading to work to pass by him; also known as the ‘here’s some money i had in my pocket, now i feel better about myself’ time. while hyunseung would rather have people stand and E N J O Y listening to him before giving money, he couldn’t afford to be picky sometimes. though, judging from the sounds of the people coming back up from the entrance, the trains seemed to be having some problems. wonder how that was going to affect things.
